02/03/2025: The food was brought quite quickly (maybe it was because there were few people in the place) Despite reading the review about their pasta (I had already ordered it at that time), my expectations were not very high after the negative reviews. I tried it (and I usually don’t like such large pasta) but it was quite tasty. The pasta sauce was good. Therefore, I can’t say anything bad about the pasta that I ordered. Not super amazingly tasty, but not disgusting or not tasty either. After the gym, I ate this food with pleasure.

Romano solía ser un lugar barato - y - alegre para un bocado rápido. Reabrió recientemente después de una renovación extensa muy necesaria y estaba deseando probar el menú. Cuando llegamos, le dijimos a la camarera que teníamos una reserva, a la que ella simplemente señaló una mesa en lugar de darnos la bienvenida. La renovación es exitosa, excepto que el restaurante ahora se asemeja a estar en un aeropuerto, ya que los focos son tan brillantes que hace que un entorno menos romántico. Teníamos el Early Bird que ha subido de precio pero, a 24€. 95 , parecía una buena propuesta de valor. Teníamos experiencia mixta con respecto a la comida. Mi cóctel de gambas estaba bien, pero la bruschetta de mi compañero era una pequeña rebanada de baguette con un poco de queso. Para la alimentación, mi lasaña era bastante decente, aunque venía con stir - verduras fritas que eran resistentes como botas viejas (una ensalada sería mejor). Mi compañero tenía el spag Bol que era pequeño, la salsa era aceitosa y el sabor bastante mediocre. Probamos cada uno de los postres en el EB - el tiramisú era bueno, pero el helado - helado y fruta consistía en una pequeña cucharada con unas rodajas de manzana, uvas y tal vez una fresa a la mitad. Lo que más me molestó fue que los tamaños de las porciones para el menú EB eran definitivamente más pequeños que los del menú A La Carta. El objetivo del menú EB es tener una sesión temprana por un mejor precio (una victoria - ganar para el cliente y el restaurador). Las porciones no deben ser más pequeñas. El peor aspecto de la velada fue escuchar a una de las camareras (asiáticas) (supongo que la supervisora) mandando y gritando al pobre joven que estaba haciendo su mejor servicio. Fue desagradable y me dejó un mal sabor de boca.

09/03/2025: We visited here last night, must’ve rung at around 18:30pm and got booked in for 19:30pm. Once we arrived we hadn’t even been put in the books that we had booked for tonight. Once we had sat down not even a minute later the waitress was there asking what we would like to order food wise, we politely asked for a couple of more minutes to look through the order. Once we had ordered and got our drinks about 40 mins later our starter comes out which I think wasn’t worth the price at all, we had asked for cheesy garlic bread who had barely any cheese on. When ordering my drinks and my main I must’ve told the waitress twice that I had an allergy to fruit once when ordering drinks and again when ordering my food, I just felt like I wasn’t really understood and taken seriously. Normally when I tell restaurants about my allergy there would normally be a manager or the chef come up to me and speak about what it is I can and can’t have but that didn’t happen. Once my spaghetti bolognese arrived it was very watery and bland, I had a weird feeling when eating it as I just didn’t feel like I had been listened to but I still put my trust in the staff. I must’ve had about 5 or 6 mouthful's of the food and just didn’t feel right. Once we had finished and paid the bill that was very expensive and not worth the quality of the food at all I went back to my hotel and was in the back of an ambulance 10-15 mins after due to an allergic reaction. I feel like I had put my trust in staff and got completely ignored. To say I’m disappointed is an under statement, my birthday weekend has taken a massive turn and I feel like it’s money wasted.

05/03/2025: I live in the neighborhood and have been to the restaurant twice. The first time, the service was incredible and the food was great. We ordered a risotto that was very tasty and came in a good portion. The second time, we asked about the special menu of the day. Since it was an Italian restaurant, I asked if the pasta was fresh and made to order, and the waitress told me that it wasn't and that it was ready-made pasta like the ones you get at the store. So I decided to choose a dish from the regular menu with mussels, which came in an almost childish portion and the mussels were empty. This time, my husband's dish was also not tasty and the portion was small, and we both left hungry after spending more than 100 euros including starter and dessert... but the service was still excellent.

19/03/2025: A very nice place, they were able to serve us in Spanish. The food was very good and reasonably priced, and they had a gluten-free option, which isn't very common in this area.

14/03/2025: Recently visited milanos and had a great experience. Our boys have a low protein diet to follow but the milanos gluten free piccolo menu lets them enjoy the restaurant the same as everyone else with lots of options. Anyone who has pku I would definitely recommend and the normal menu was also delicious for ourselves

25/02/2025: We recently dined at Sabatini in Lucan and had a lovely experience overall. The food was good—fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. Each dish delivered on taste, making for a satisfying meal. What truly stood out, though, was the service. Despite being visibly understaffed, with only two ladies managing the entire floor, they were absolutely superb. They were friendly, attentive, and efficient, However, it was clear they could have used an extra pair of hands (or two) to keep things running smoothly, as there were slight delays. Accept less bookings or increase headcount. I’d still recommend a visit—you’ll enjoy good food and warm service, even if it requires a touch of patience during busier times.

15/01/2025: Food is fantastic, especially for a local restaurant. Their pesto chicken and their chicken main with mushroom are absolutely delicious. They have a small simple menu and seem to do everything very well. I've been a few times and on each occasion the staff have been extremely friendly, professional and attentive. I'd highly recommend.

02/01/2025: There's no much to say about Sand Mediterranean cousine.. Food is fab and the pizzas is delicious.. Best Italian takeaway restaurant around Dublin City with authentic Italian ingredients... Buon appetito!!

19/12/2024: A tiny little gem of a restaurant. We're yet to sit down and have a meal, but we've gotten take out a handful of times and the pizzas are just delicious. The owner is a gentleman, and is always full of chat as you're waiting for your food. Have only tried the pizzas, but am excited to try more. Highly recommend

16/03/2025: Being a local I’ve been in and out of this place all my life at different times. Lately the food has hit an all-time low and on Friday night it couldn’t have been worse. Fresh cod and chips …… fish was sludgy slop in an awful batter, the chips weren’t too bad but nothing amazing. all this for just over €13 (no drink) . I hate saying it but the cod was really, really poor. It seems to concentrate more on ice cream and fancy coffees these days. Again, staff are very nice and it’s a friendly place, but the fish and chips are just not up to scratch anymore. I honestly cannot justify going here again

09/03/2025: The food is really, the garlic bread, milkshake and fish is to die for. The portion of chips could be a bit bigger, but it's definitely quality over quantity, and they give you quality.

01/03/2025: We have ordered fish and chips and doner kebabs takeaway recently. The doner kebabs was OK but the cod was not good. It is kind of salty as if it is marinated in salt water for a long time so it was quite salt and the texture was strange. To be honest, I am not it it cod. The chips was on the soggy side - fixed by putting them into the airfryer. Overall, the fish and chips was at two stars standard and doner kebabs brought it back up to three stars.

01/03/2025: Estaba en la zona de Smithfield y me apetecía algo con patatas fritas, así que estaba de humor para el tipo de comida servida aquí. Fui recibido con prontitud y el personal era amable Está bien tostado y quemado - mi bollo de hamburguesa falafel era el último. Observé que las pizzas servidas a la mesa adyacente también parecían quemadas (y no me refiero a los puntos negros que deberían estar allí en una pizza decente). Las patatas fritas probablemente habían salido de un paquete congelado y no se habían cocinado el tiempo suficiente. Hay mejores lugares para comer

21/03/2025: The staff were very nice and gave us the time we needed to figure out what we wanted to eat. They were so polite and warn us of the plate being hot, very thoughtful. The food was amazing. I got cannelloni and it was just perfect. When it came to the bill the waitress gave us the card machine turned away for my to pay and turn back which was very nice and professional of her. This was like my 50th time dining here and it won't be my last. I will always come back to milanos because of the nice food and dedicated staff

15/03/2025: Tho WORST! Do not come here, it’s BAD bad. I ordered a euro and when I got it, I asked if there was any sauce and they said it was extra, I didn’t know that there was absolutely nothing inside of my wrap except meat and bread! This was the worst tasting meal I’ve ever paid for! I will never ever ever ever come back again, the worst tasting food I’ve ever had! My husband’s pizza came with corn on it! Who puts corn on pizza!? The end.

10/03/2025: good quality food. But delivery driver was a bit dodgy. he handed me my food with missing items and when i rang the restaurant in front of him he took out the remainder of the items when restaurant started ringing him directly. with cheeky smile he gave me the missing items.

04/03/2025: Wow, I can't believe this place isn't recommended on Google when you're looking for something to eat near the National Museum. We are looking for something "BBB", good, pretty and cheap. Walking towards Kilmainham after leaving the museum, we came across this place and honestly, very very surprised! Nothing to do with a BK or McDonald's, this is totally 1000 times better. Big burger to stop a train, and the potatoes are super good, at their perfect point! Eating in Ireland for €14 with this quality and service, it is honestly unique! Very very happy and very content!

01/02/2025: I was very well received, my stay was incredible. I can't help but comment on the impeccable service provided by the receptionist Nara, she was very sweet. Always willing to help in any way she could, practical, friendly, quick and always showing great willingness to do whatever was asked. Without a doubt, if it weren't for Nara's tips and help, my stay wouldn't have been so incredible. Thank you Dublin One and thank you Nara.
