The best restaurantsof italian in Dublin

10/03/2026: Very disappointing experience. We were charged an €18 service charge, yet the service was poor, two of our dishes were brought out incorrectly and overall it felt very unprofessional. There were five staff standing around while we were the only table for about 90 minutes, yet when I went to the bathroom there was no toilet roll, which says a lot about the attention to detail. The food was also very basic. I ordered chicken with potatoes and vegetables, but the “vegetables” turned out to be grated courgette and peppers blended into a sauce. When I asked where the vegetables were, I was told “that’s them in the bowl. Overall overpriced, poor service, and an €18 service charge that made absolutely no sense.

08/03/2026: The floor was filthy with old food crusted into the floor. The staff slammed our drinks on the table and the food was bad. My husband got a chicken dinner that was supposed to have carrots, peppers, onion and saffron….all he got was breast of chicken flattened with a small bit of carrot and a yellow sauce that tasted like chicken soup with butter for €21!! My lasagne which was €21 was dry and burnt on top. We only had that mains because the place was too loud with a group that was doing a cooking class. Will not be going there again. I don’t know who is giving 4/5star reviews.

19/02/2026: We called the restaurant in advance to request a quieter, lower-traffic table due to a serious immunity condition in our party. Unfortunately we were told this could not be accommodated. Extremely disappointed that flexibility wasn’t possible given the nature of the request.

15/02/2026: I didn't know this place existed in the Dean, nice atmosphere, nice layout, staff were friendly and efficient, a nice selection of food. Pricey, but normal for dublin. It lost marks for me as myself and my friend ordered 2 jameson and ginger ale. The whiskey was definitely watered down, I could barely taste the whiskey. This was the same with both of them. My other friends ordered cocktails and there was more ice than anything. So, food was great, drinks not so great, probably won't go there again because of this or if i do I will order beer.

15/02/2026: I went there for dinner and the place was pretty full (we had a reservation, I recommend doing the same). We were sat quickly and the service was very good. I had the calamari as an appetiser and it was the perfect start to my meal. As the main I ate the gnoccetini with red pesto and this was the best thing I ate there. I recommend trying it for yourself ! They also make a good amount of drinks.

02/03/2026: some of the best italian food i’ve ever had. i got the ravioli campano & my husband got the carbonara. both of our eyes rolled back from how good the food was. absolutely come here for 10/10 italian food

03/02/2026: Awful experience owner has no tolerance for babies….. he won’t allow babies to be past a certain area in his restaurant. He sits and stares at you while you’re trying to eat with your baby. I was extremely unnerved and upset while in this restaurant I wouldn’t recommend eating hete No high chair. 09/03/2026: We visited Milano Pizza in Dun Laoghaire yesterday, 8th March, about 3 pm as a family, and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. Here are the main issues we encountered: We arrived with our 1.5‑year‑old child and were seated right beside the door, which was uncomfortable due to constant drafts and people coming in and out. The glasses and cutlery (knives and forks) on the table were not clean, showing visible marks and signs that they had not been washed or dried properly. My wife ordered the Pizza Leggera, and when it arrived, we were surprised to find a large hole in the middle filled with salad. Nobody explained that this is how the dish is served. The base was extremely dry and the overall taste was very poor. I ordered the lasagna, which had almost no beef flavour and was of very poor quality. We decided to leave as soon as possible, but when I tried to pay, the card machine wasn’t working, and we ended up waiting 15 minutes just to complete the payment. After living 13 years in Ireland, this was genuinely one of the worst and most unpleasant dining experiences we’ve ever had.

08/03/2026: Everything was great. Friendly staff , lovely environment. Being a pizza place, we would have preferred hot straight from overn. Pizzas were served lukewarm making sit in experience not worthy. Pasta served was very nice and super hot. 👌 .

25/01/2026: A small, traditional Italian café with a limited selection of snacks (croissants, focaccia). The service is attentive and friendly. The food is of high quality. However, the prices are a bit too high (two 0.33-liter beers and two focaccias cost over €30).

16/01/2026: I had the best espresso in Dublin. The place is also beautiful and feels like being in Italy. The staff is excellent and above all speaks Italian.

10/08/2025: My partner and I left vomiting all night and extreme stomach sickness after eating here, no manager to speak to, to help deal with this situation, was left speaking to the assistant manager who has no clue what she is doing and accused me of lying just to get my money back, told me to go get proof that im sick from the doctor, said her name was Monica just talked over me the whole time on the phone and acuused me of lying and was shouting at me the whole phonecall, absolutely horrible person, has no place in a customer service job, please dont eat in this dump unless you want to be sick and abused
