21/02/2025: Ordered a snack box - the chicken was quite possibly the worst food I’ve ever tasted , was so disgusting I had to spit what I had in my mouth straight into the bin . Then I was left with a scimpy portion of chips for €7.50 . Never again , that was horrendous.

05/11/2024: Nice place, delicious food, but...it's not an Italian restaurant! You order bruschetta and you get a potato meatball seasoned with mint, not basil! The main dish is on a canapé of potato meatballs, and the side dish....surprise - mashed potatoes with carrots and broccoli. At least there was no potato in the dessert (or I didn't feel it). Just change the name of the restaurant....an Irish take on Italian cuisine.

29/12/2024: The food itself was lovely, and the atmosphere was lovely. However, be careful of one senior waitress, she's grumpy and rude and made the experience terrible. As soon as we walked through the door, I kindly asked, “Have you possibly any space for a table of five?” In return, I got a sigh, a dirty look, and “Ugh, I'm busy, give me a minute.” While handing out the menus, she plopped them on the table as if we were dogs. When handing out desserts, she said, “Manners?” to my family member for not specifying it was her order. After that, she came back speaking loudly to a colleague saying “they left the plates everywhere”…my apologies were we meant to stack them up for her and bring them to the kitchen? At that point I started to question if we were even at a restaurant. She claimed to be the manager, which is very hard to believe because, as a manager, you are meant to uphold the best service to set a good example for the staff. My family and I kindly tried to express the situation to her, hoping for a simple apology; however, she became aggressive. I’m not one to be loud, yet she told me, “You’d wanna calm down” when I tried to lessen the chaos. This violent, threatening, and hostile attitude should not be tolerated anywhere. As a family who professionalizes and knows what it's like to work in the hospitality sector, no matter what problems occur, we would never act in this manner toward a customer. My family and I are all about respecting the elderly; however, this behavior was completely and utterly unacceptable and disgusting. There was another waitress serving us who was so lovely, welcoming, and kind. Maybe the senior waitress should take notes from her or maybe this is her sign for a very prolonged retirement. Best of luck to the company, though.

18/12/2024: I popped in here for lunch one of the days I was holidaying in the area. And what a place it is. Once inside the decor is very eye catching and quirky. The staff were all very friendly while in costume to add to the feel good atmosphere. And the finishing touch was the food was absolutely delicious. I would recommend visiting this place to see it for yourself.

12/01/2025: Lovely little takeaway coffee place. I ordered a flat white on almond milk (yay!) and a regular cappuccino for my boyfriend with a mars cookie on the side. It was absolutely beautiful! I loved their flat white and am very delighted that I’m finding more and more spots in Ireland that serve great coffee. My boyfriends cappuccino was a tiny bit too frothy and without the chocolate powder that he’s used to from Australia. It was still 5/5! The mars cookie was very heavy but delicious :)

14/01/2025: Absolutely adore this wonderful gem of a restaurant! The plant based egg sambos are just delicious. The soups ..the Beany one or the Cauliflower offering are just so hearty and made from scratch. Love also that we can bring our four leggeds that sit quietly at our feet while we done! Well done Rustic Boowa.. the place to visit in Tralee.

22/11/2024: Monday 11th November is Polish Independence Day and one of our traditions in my city of Poznań is eating special croissants with white poppy seeds filling. We managed to order them this year from Rustic Boowa in Tralee!!! To say they were amazing is an understatement! The taste and richness of the ingredients made us feel at home ❤️ This is a family business and you can see that they put love into everything they do. The best coffee in town, not to mention their delicious treats. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to revisit, whether to try another dish or simply enjoy the atmosphere. Highly recommended for coffee lovers and foodies alike! Order anything and you won't be disappointed.

29/01/2025: Took my elderly parents for lunch today 29th - ordered Beef (Roast of the day) both parents could not eat the Beef as it was so tough and told the waitress. She immediately took it back to the kitchen where the response astounded us! Everyone else has eaten it so no appoligies and please pay. Absolutely disgraceful we left and will not be rushing to go back service has become unprofessional and food was disgraceful today.

23/11/2024: We had 2 Vegan options with salad. Absolutely lovely. The Coffee was to die for. It's is unsurprisingly a cheese shop as well so we had to purchase some lovely Irish made cheese.

22/10/2024: Well cheese loves - there is such a thing as cheese heaven after all 🥰 The is a niche shop with amazing atmosphere and originality. The food selection isn’t overwhelming but amazing. A simple selection of tantalising tasty foods available to eat in or take away as well as cakes and desserts. Now for the cheeses - well artisan and sublime would describe the cheese on offer - not only indulging in lunch a selection of cheese was purchased to later with a wee dram. Something I learnt on this visit - free parking- simply dive up to the barriers located at the left of the shop and obtain a code from the shop to exit . I could keep on going, but would strongly recommend you get yourself into gear and make the visit yourself- you won’t be disappointed 😉
