Cassidy's Restaurant
Tralee
06/11/2024: Very rude. They made us leave the table while we were still eating to seat other people. I finished dinner (dessert) on a small table in the entrance which was used to place the menus and orders. The food was nothing special.
02/11/2024: Edited.
Absolutely appalling service.
Waited for ages for a table, we were forgotten about completely and lied to.
Looked like idiots waiting.
The food is good but absolutely not worth that kind of treatment.
We had rang for a table.

Bella Bia
Tralee
05/11/2024: Nice place, delicious food, but...it's not an Italian restaurant! You order bruschetta and you get a potato meatball seasoned with mint, not basil! The main dish is on a canapé of potato meatballs, and the side dish....surprise - mashed potatoes with carrots and broccoli. At least there was no potato in the dessert (or I didn't feel it). Just change the name of the restaurant....an Irish take on Italian cuisine.
02/11/2024: Awful place . Will not return. Rude staff. Close service and awful food

Kirby's Brogue Inn
Tralee
30/10/2024: Detroiters in Ireland. This place was so good! We had roast lamb and it was awesome! A fairly straightforward meal in Ireland, but high quality cuisine to an American. Nice setting, friendly staff (thick accents! You may have to ask them to repeat a few times!) but definitely a worthwhile stop for a good meal and a pint!
27/10/2024: Friendly, fast service. Great portion sizes.

Meadowlands Hotel
Tralee
08/11/2024: The Meadowlands Hotel in Tralee, Ireland is a family-run four-star hotel characterized by its friendly atmosphere and elegant rooms. It is located approximately one kilometer from the city center, providing a quiet location with good access to local attractions.
Our personal experience
Our daughter Paula did a three-month internship at the Meadowlands Hotel. During this time we visited them and stayed at the hotel ourselves. We loved the Irish charm of the hotel, including the cozy restaurant where locals also meet. We particularly appreciated that the hotel offered an internship for a trainee from Switzerland. Paula was lovingly integrated into the team and was able to learn a lot.
We have fond memories of our stay and would happily stay there again at any time. The surroundings are beautiful and have the uniqueness you want.
Facilities and service
The hotel's individually designed rooms offer amenities such as air conditioning, flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. The rooms are not only well equipped but also very comfortable. The on-site restaurant and bar uses local ingredients, including fresh Dingle fish daily. Other amenities include free parking, room service, and a 24-hour business center, particularly useful for business travelers.
Prices
Room prices vary depending on the season and category and are usually between €96 and €276 per night. The hotel therefore offers suitable options for different budgets.
Conclusion
Combining traditional charm with modern amenities, the Meadowlands Hotel offers an excellent choice for travelers wanting to explore Tralee and the surrounding attractions. The hotel is particularly recommended for those who value friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere.
We would recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Irish experience.

RusticBoowa
Tralee
26/10/2024: The cauliflower soup is delicious!! I recommend visiting here
29/09/2024: I have had the pleasure of eating in Rustic Boowa on a number of occasions, in Tralee and in Ardfert. The food is absolutely gorgeous. I have had a variety of the foods they serve, to name a few - the baked porridge, the breakfast muffins, the scones , the quiche, the salads, the boowas, carrot cake and my husbands absolute favourite 'the rafaello cake'. We have never been disappointed. The coffee that is served is excellent, flavoursome and very satisfying. Staff are friendly and efficient and always make you feel welcome and are very appreciative of your custom. A big thank you to Grace who served us on many occasions in Ardfert.

Chez Christophe
Tralee
20/09/2024: I take a 3-course menu, and to accompany this meal, he orders a small bottle of cider. I feel like a writer at heart so this description will be a bit fictionalized!
A duck liver mousse with toast and onion-fig confit as a starter. A timeless classic of French cuisine. The temperature of the toasts is impeccable and we can only enjoy this first plate with pleasure. But the dish is even more impressive! A tender roast pork, exquisitely cooked, on mashed potatoes where a little spring onion creates a wonderful play of texture in addition to bringing a note of freshness to the mouth. The pudding, another element of this plate, is a sweet setting of small vegetables cooked with cinnamon in a sort of choux pastry. The whole thing, this plate with varied colors and flavors, is coated in a creamy pepper sauce! A delight, I tell you! To finish, what could be better than a chocolate fondant! Accompanied by strawberry whipped cream, strawberry coulis, a scoop of strawberry sorbet and a Mont Cherry chocolate sauce. A sort of strawberry rabbit company (sweet reference to Émilie Jolie). A gentle way to avoid the cloying side of chocolate by breaking it with the acidity of red fruits, without falling into the classic of vulgar vanilla ice cream. The chocolate - Mont Cherry sauce is the connection that makes all the difference and gives a perfect consistency in the mouth!
All this for an unbeatable price, less than €40 for a meal of this quality, I will come back with great pleasure!
11/09/2024: We stopped in for a quick bite, the food was well presented and tasted great. We enjoyed the atmosphere, this seems to be a very relaxed environment. The service ws on the slow side but they were receptive to small changes requested in the dishes

The Cheese Shop
Tralee
22/10/2024: Well cheese loves - there is such a thing as cheese heaven after all 🥰
The is a niche shop with amazing atmosphere and originality.
The food selection isn’t overwhelming but amazing. A simple selection of tantalising tasty foods available to eat in or take away as well as cakes and desserts. Now for the cheeses - well artisan and sublime would describe the cheese on offer - not only indulging in lunch a selection of cheese was purchased to later with a wee dram.
Something I learnt on this visit - free parking- simply dive up to the barriers located at the left of the shop and obtain a code from the shop to exit .
I could keep on going, but would strongly recommend you get yourself into gear and make the visit yourself- you won’t be disappointed 😉
23/09/2024: Great place for home cooked food with love, and cheese of course! Many vegetarian and vegan options, which you can basically mix as per your preferences.
Great coffee and bread.
Nice atmosphere with communal tables.
