18/03/2025: A typical Irish pub combined with a restaurant. You can drink an original Guinness, eat a great steak or fish_and_chips and finish it all with a delicious dessert. And all in the atmosphere of the Six Nations Cup.

05/03/2025: This is an excellent place if you are very very hungry!. The portions are very large and could easily be split between people..something I didn't know and ended up with far too much food...very reasonably priced.

17/03/2025: The hotel itself is outside the town centre and only a taxi ride in to decent bars and restaurants. The shower didn't work. We had boiling water or scalding water only. The carpet was dirty and the room in general needed a good thorough clean. We found empty chocolate wrappers under the bed. The lunch we had was just ok. We had to order all 3 courses of dinner at the same time.The dinner was served and my tempura cod was overcooked, dry chewy and cold. My wife's pasta was bland/ tasteless. We were also forgotten about and has to ask for desert. Desert was OK. Breakfast next morning was the same as we were forgotten about and had to ask the servers to serve us. When checking out were were told we incurred an extra 35 euro charge due to us ordering another dinner. It's turned out, that deal we booked, for 245 euro (dine and stay), was based on 2 adults sharing in a double room. But this only included 1 dinner🤷‍♂️, even though they checked 2 people in to a double room and booked our table for 2, they didn't think to inform us. This meant that the advertised dine and share deal for 2 people in a double room was not 245 euro as advertised but 280 euro, which makes it more expensive than advertised. We queried this all at checkout and the duty manager was nice and did wave the extra 35 euro. Overall a poor experience. Next time we will stay elsewhere

04/02/2025: Really good food 😋 always fresh and def the best chicken balls I've ever had. Last sunday evening I rang in an order for home delivery at 4.45pm... at 6.10pm the food arrived cold. It cost 32.64 so I rang back the takeaway to explain and she was reluctant to replace my food and said it always cooked fresh and they were busy. I said I get that your busy but you surely don't expect me just to accept cold food. She agreed to send fresh hot food and said it could be half hour. I said ok I understand. 5 mins later she rings back saying she would not send fresh food that it would be the same issue again and it's always cooked fresh. She argued on the phone for 5 minutes and refused to send food. We have been good customer to golden spring for many years and this is how we were treated so sham on you now we won't return. What cost us 32.64 would of only cost you a few euros to prepare

02/02/2025: Ordered food from these many times. Unfortunately, after waiting 90mins, the food was cold. When we contacted the restaurant they refused to replace the cold food and suggested we "just heat it up". I understand they are busy but customer care is not priority here. Awful follow up service I'm sorry to say

25/01/2025: We got a pizza delivered today.... Best ever. Forget APACHE.... Forget EVERY OTHER ONE. THIS IS BEAUTIFUL

20/02/2025: The food is ok it's more like a takeaway then a restaurant as takeaway seems to be their biggest sellers and when you're sitting there people constantly coming in and out.

15/02/2025: 2 and half hour of waiting time smashed the record! First half of the food arrived in almost 2 hours(cold) then in another 40 minutes another half. No discount offered :) just as much i like their food , never again! I was advised by a member of staff that it will take up to an hour. If you are hungry consider the waiting times people

29/03/2025: The dressing rooms are the filthiest I have ever been in. I dont leave reviews but this was bad. The pool was fine. Staff were kids, management need to sort this place out. The smell of urine in the dressing rooms alone, a closure order waiting to happen

27/03/2025: Used to love this place when I was younger, was always clean and met with friendly welcomes. Been there today for the first time in years, the viewing gallery was absolutely scruffy, chipping paint, rust, moulded chewing gum. There was also rust on all of the pool ladders and dividers for all 3 pools. The changing area was equally as dirty with plasters left on the floor and cleaning staff mop buckets in changing stalls, not to mention the bathroom area stinks of sewage and fish… You’re not notified beforehand (as a tourist) that you need a swimming cap, I was told €3 and they attempted to charge me €8, another money grab! Regardless, out of 5 people, only 1 needed a cap because she had “long hair” which is completely contradictory to the rules, seen as staff were so keen on them. Safety signs also tell spectators to wear shoe caps / covers, yet none were made available in the changing room. I’m assuming it’s a manager for reception of some sort, stocky lady with a bob was beyond rude and dismissive. Questioned me twice infront of customers and other staff leaving me to feel belittled, she needs to be spoken to asap nobody likes a try hard!
