27/11/2024: We always go to the bay tree anytime we are in Portlaoise.
Staff are very friendly, I’ve sampled a good bit of the menu to date and cannot fault Any dish!
Amazing awareness for allergies , I eat gluten free due to being coeliac and I never have any worries when going to this restaurant.
Even family members who have no dietary requirements comment on how nice food here is!
I most definitely will be returning, love this place!

05/09/2024: A short stopover that was worth it. The service was friendly and accommodating. The coffee and tea were perfect and the cookies were heavenly. The café doesn't seem so new anymore, but everything is very clean.

09/10/2024: Brilliant for sport, huge screen in the courtyard, pizza and a beer, Brilliant atmosphere. Amazing bands at the weekend plus some comedy nights in the intimate venue upstairs. The bar staff are all so friendly, couldn't realy ask for more.

Lifeguards going around pool bouncing a ball so not relaxing as the sound of the bounce made me leave :(
