The best restaurants in Portlaoise

04/10/2026: The food was very nice, although the workers stood and stared at us the entire time we were there. This made us feel very uncomfortable and one even laughed at my friend while she was eating.Definitely need to re-train staff members and give their customers some personal space.

03/10/2026: Rainbow roll Sushi was good but not good value for money .. only tempura prawn inside and rice layer was so thick and on top there were barely any seafood

21/05/2026: Been to this place many times over the years and as usual we are welcomed by the locals and staff who are the best kind of people you would enjoy being around and if you like GAA it s not to be missed from your bucket list 😉

12/09/2026: We had my son & his friend's joint 6th birthday in Roll 'n Bowl last week and all 20+ kids had a great time. We dealt with Caitriona from beginning to end and she was so friendly and helpful throughout! The new party rooms upstairs are fantastic, we were in the Toy Story room with 2 "thrones" as requested. The food was devoured and the cook checked everything was ok at least twice. Roll 'n Bowl has really improved in recent years and it was a pleasure to have a party there.

15/08/2026: I never eat my life so amazing salads.So fresh and everything warm bacon and chicken.The chicken was so juicy and bacon great 👍 Well done guys.Ypu did deliver the best.Amazing and healthy more important and with options.I hope one day there will be stake sandwich option also.

09/08/2026: Took 15 minutes for our order to be taken. We got chicken wings for a starter this took 20 minutes to come out. They were only alright. We ordered a burger and vol u vant for the main which took 40 minutes to come out. The burger was fine however the vol u vant was 17.50 for a main course and 10.50 for a starter. With the main course vol u vant I got one vol u vant. I would assume two as it is a main course and I assume the starter also only comes with one vol u vant so essentially I paid €7 for a small thing of chips. Food was bland. The cherry on top was the €4 charge for two glasses of miwadi. This alone will make me not return. It is beyond cheeky when you’re spending enough for bland over priced food. I said it to the girl when we were paying with and she said “oh the payments already gone through”. As if she couldn’t have refunded it. Will not return!

30/08/2025: What a gem. Service was just top class, friendly, fast efficient. Value for money. Toilets clean, wash basin in mens needed clean is all & maybe needs an upgrade aesthetically wise. Eggs benedict - top quality bacon 🥓 was very tasty, could be but crispier, but personal preference. Hollandaise was delicious, lemon coming through. Poached eggs perfect runny... Coffee & tea solid. Highly highly recommended 👌 #supportlocal
