06/05/2025: Visited Esquires for late lunch after the Limerick Great Run. Unfortunately they were out of most of the dishes on the menu (probably because of the crowds).
We had to get the chicken chorizo sandwich. The sandwich was huge, so quantity was not an issue. The combination of chicken and cheese was also delicious. However the sandwich was a bit dry, too toasty. The chips we got as a side were also good. Didn't get any coffee.
The seating is good and comfortable. The staff is great.
Had heard really good reviews about this place (and food). Will visit again to try the other dishes.

13/05/2025: This is a decent pub, decent pint, decent decor, decent staff. Pretty good. Plus there was a nice atmosphere when we were in.
Bizarrely, the toilets are fairly awful, dirty and dank. It’s odd how bad they are compared to everything else.

30/04/2025: This place has been a favourite for years! The food is consistently good - the Cajun chicken salad is so delicious!! Their desserts are all home made and very hard to resist! Staff are always helpful and nice. Even if you don't get a table straight away - it's always busy at lunch time - don't give up! The queue moves quickly and it's definitely worth the wait.

08/05/2025: Amazing music, only a 15 minute wait when they were short of staff and I ordered a feast, also the service was so stellar! Doublechecked the order, made sure I got everything, and threw in an order of plantains for free. The food was piping hot all the way home and packaged so well, everyting was wrapped up to not spill. The food is as authentic as it gets! The proper amount of spice and all! Very reasonable prices as well! The portions are quite large!
14/04/2025: If you are in Limerick, you will need to make this spot a staple. The food here is INCREDIBLE! If you want tasty, spicy and utterly delicious go no further. The jollof rice was unreal! The staff are also fabulous. Had a great chat with the server who gave me extra spice when I asked for it and it was perfect!! I will 100% be back. 😍

20/05/2025: Few pints on Saturday outdoors. Sunny day. Couldn't get seats on footpath so we're on smoking area. Trad music on inside, cold beers , watching world go by. Couldn't fault it ..lovely bar.

08/05/2025: We were a large group of 18, we opted for the set menu but requested to pay for drinks individually which I'm sure was a pain in the ass for staff but was facilitated. This made life simple for the group bill wise. Food was excellent, service was excellent and considering the number of us no one was left waiting. Lovely place, we've been here before and would return.
08/05/2025: My fiancée and I got the fillets with wine and it was fantastic! Great service and staff. Highly recommend.

10/04/2025: Unfortunately they don’t serve waffles anymore at all. Which is why we went there. But the scones and other food are good. I do wish A Lot that they served waffles even one day a week as I have not found anywhere in Ireland that serves decent American style waffles

The drink ordered was not avsilable. The drink ordered instead was served in a puluted glass. New drink was given. The pizza served was terrable. Some unidentified sause and badly baked. The super salad was in fact cabage.

21/04/2025: Very good food and great staff! I came here by myself after work and the staff were very friendly and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. I was sat at one of the tables at the bar and I had the chicken burger which was delicious. The girls constantly tended to me and chatted to me in their free time. The other customers were also very chatty and made my day.
