The best restaurants in Limerick

28/02/2025: I don't usually buy from Subway but seeing it on Deliveroo made me want to! I ate one yesterday and another today, I've never pooped so much and so watery in my life as I did today. I'll never buy it again!!!

19/01/2025: Was just on Subway O'Connell St. Limericks JustEat page. I would suggest being very careful ordering from this. A 500ml bottle of Fanta lemon (or any soft drink on the menu currently) are all adding on +90 cents to the price of the drink listed as a 'deposit' for the Deposit Return Scheme in place. However as per the deposit return scheme on plastic bottles you can only get between 15 cent to 25 cent return on recycling these. So having these set as 90 cent is hoping a consumer wont notice and be charged extra they wont get back. On top of that the price of the actual drink is in total 4.80 with that deposit. Meaning a 500ml bottle of soft drink is almost 5 euros. That is an absolute scam. I also checked Subway William Street Limerick and Subway Castletroy Limerick and their deposit fees are correct at 15 cents for minerals. Whoever put this on Subways O'Connells St JustEat page should be ashamed of themselves. Please be aware if ordering online from them.

10/03/2025: The staff were good. I can't speak of the rest of the items available here but the cake was very disappointing. Ordered a designer chocolate cake for 57 euro and it felt like money wasted. Too much cream and that tasted bad and the cake was dry. Didn't taste fresh.

03/02/2025: Lovely food , fast service and very friendly and professional staff.

01/04/2025: Double charge for delivery, charges extra for delivery while I already paid in UberEats application. Don't try it, just waste of money if you want.

09/03/2025: Ordered pineapple and ham but got pepperoni instead, no dip in the pizza and the extra dip I purchased was missing from the order. This isn’t the first time and it’s definitely our last time ordering from here. Absolutely loved their food but their attitude towards loyal customers is terrible.

06/04/2025: Absolutely Awful experience-avoid at all costs Ordered three spice boxes and it turned into an absolute nightmare, All three of us who ate them woke up in the middle of the night extremely sick with food poisoning The food seemed okay when we got it at first, but something was clearly wrong. Whether it was undercooked chicken, bad oil or just poor hygiene, I don’t know but I do know we won’t ever be ordering from here again. I don’t usually leave reviews ,but people deserve to know.This was more than just disappointing- it was dangerous and when I rang to inquire and complain about this to the food establishment the women was very rude and unhelpful which left me in utter disbelief and shock.

06/04/2025: Avoid This Place at All Costs!!!! This place is a disaster. The food gave all three of us food poisoning, and the spice boxes should be illegal. When I called to let them know, they were extremely rude, refused a refund, and blamed us. This place is a joke, a complete rip-off, and a health hazard. DO NOT waste your time, money, or well-being on this nightmare!

12/03/2025: Shocking that this establishment decided to cancel a sold-out gig 24 hours beforehand in favour of putting in a student night instead. 7 Japanese members of a band playing Irish Trad music travelled over 10,000km with a double bass and all their instruments to play a sold out show to fans who were travelling from all over Ireland to see them just to be told that they’re concert was scrapped in favour of a student night. Really unprofessional and a disgraceful way to treat 7 Japanese people who’ve been obsessed with Irish music for over 20 years on their first tour to Ireland. How embarrassing!! 😡

19/02/2025: The meat and the wrap itself are top class but boys…the salad is terrible. Fix that and you’ll get 5 stars. Tabbouleh belongs on a kebab…you don’t even offer it as an option.

25/07/2024: Fish was horrible, was burnt and felt microwaved. Chips felt reheated - not fresh and curry sauce was awful. If you like fish and chips go somewhere else. Awful food, would never eat there again.

08/06/2024: Great gluten free fish and chips and friendly service. We had the fresh cod.

06/03/2025: The WORST customer service I have ever experienced! The drinks in the fridge were warm I asked could I have some ice and I was told it’s against their policy. Told me there was nothing they could do to help me. The most unhelpful and rude staff I have ever come across!

14/12/2024: Was in there this eve we had sandwiches nd drinks which were 30 euro nd then to find a hair in the middle of one of them disgusting so I went up to speak to the staff nd there attitude was well ive blonde hair nd that's a dark hair omg so rude I had asked that my coffee was brought down to me as I have a walking stick nd a very weak hand nd the answer was no I will never be going back in there the worst place ever

07/12/2024: Disgusting. Don't have half of the toppings. No bacon no caramelized onions and others. But that's not it. If you try to go to the toilet you find it full to the rim with crap. Avoid it .

09/03/2025: Just got food there tonight and it was the nicest Indian takeaway I ever had. Staff were super friendly and the food couldnt be nicer. Highly recommend.

05/03/2025: Was craving Indian food for dinner. Just step into this restaurant, only myself no any other guest/customer at all. was ordered Prawn Madras curry and Plain Naan. I can't believe, the food came 20 minutes later. Naan was old like a day or two days (it was like Poppadom), and Prawan curry was absolutely no taste at all, and just had one bite, I paid Euro 15.00 and walked away. I will not recommend it to anyone who wants to have Indian food at Poppadom Indian Restaurant in Castletroy, Limerick. This is the worst food I've ever had. Owner/Chefs, Please do not disrespect lovely Indian food. "PLEASE DO NOT PLAY WITH FOOD"

05/07/2024: Glum surly staff. Did not know I was supposed to collect cutlery myself on ordering, when goats cheese toasted roll with salad was brought to my table, asked for a knife and fork. Told "it's self service and it's over there", on mentioning this rude unhelpful attitude to an older woman behind the counter, she just repeated the other woman's sentence with a stony expression. Last time I met staff like this was in the former East Berlin. No sugar on the table, only sweetener, had to get it from another table, didn't dare ask staff. I'm a disappointed ex-customer (70+)

29/05/2024: Can a Caesar wrap be called a Caesar if it doesn’t contain lettuce, an anchovy Caesar salad dressing? I got a half grilled wrap soggy on the bottom filled with breaded chicken and pesto. Tasted of a chicken and stuffing.

09/03/2025: Vegetables are not fresh and gave odd smell.

22/01/2025: It's ridiculous! My wife just went there to buy a BMT sandwich, and they refused to include salami and pepperoni, which have always been part of the sandwich.
