24/01/2026: Just started going here for coffee ☕️ so nice place to enjoy your coffee and treats . Or takeaway like me mostly.

28/12/2025: One of the staff members who I later came to know as the owner's son was rude to my friend and I for no reason. My friend was fetching me some water that happen to spill slightly because of the place being jam packed and that set this man off to the point where he asked us to leave. The next day was the same. He doesn't know how to speak even with women. Jake, the owners son, is so visibly insecure that the only way to ascertain his masculinity is to have a ridiculous power display, behave badly with customers and be short on every little situation. His demeanor is almost comedic cause he doesn't know how to run the place or manage the bar; he was mad from the get go about anything and everything. The people make the place and this place clearly sucks.

18/03/2026: Not happy at all. I was in Eddie Rockets Drogheda Mother's Day 15th/March/2026, 19.23hrs. First we were seated and then the manager approached our table soon afterwards and asked if we were splitting the bill and paying card or cash we were then asked to pay before we even ate, 76.55 euro was the bill. I was with my partner, her daughter and friend, they are 12 years old. My partner lives in Drogheda all her life and it was her and the kids first time eating at Eddie Rockets Drogheda. I quired why we were being asked to pay before we ate as I've eaten all over the world and this had never happened to me or my partner before and I knew it was wrong, the lady/ manager who approach our table and was also working behind the counter said it was after 6pm and it was policy. Needless to say me and my partner were mortified and it didn't help that other people at other tables who knew me from working in the community were staring at our table. The manager demanded payment upfront from two teenage boys also but nobody else. The manager then apologised and offered me a 20 euro voucher and also offered our table free desert which was turned down. I was accepting the 6pm explanation until another few members of the the community came in and set at 3 different tables after we arrived and we're given their receipts for food and did not have to pay until they had finished their meal. Upon leaving I gave the voucher back. I believe we were profiled, pigeon holed etc and we got the impression that manager was expecting us to run or otherwise without paying after we ate. I also believe the book was judged by it's cover we were not wearing formal wear but were neatly dressed, it shouldn't matter but it is what happened in our case. I have worked in the community in Drogheda 14 years. I'm not impressed and I will never eat there again or recommend the place to anyone. This is in no way a reflection on other establishments in the Drogheda area which I have eaten in for 30 years now and have found them to be very good. I don't complain but I feel so strong about our experience.

30/01/2026: Amazing restaurant staff where the friendliest they could be always asking if everything was ok food was amazing heavily recommend the tagliatelle mare fruti and there ice cream was very good as well and the atmosphere was amazing with music playing not too loud but not too low

27/07/2025: The restaurant is boarded up and closed but it still shows that it is open on Google and the phone number doesn’t work

28/12/2025: Good Pub. Good Service. Friendly Crowd. Quite busy at times. Old Style. Lots of Regulars.Still pulling in the Crowds.

15/11/2025: Nice local pub. Decent service and Murphys on draught. Nice decor and seating, well thought out.

20/03/2026: Food was 10/10 this evening. We'll be back again

23/10/2025: Nice spot for a bite to eat! Staff are dead on and very approachable and friendly. Would recommend :)

01/12/2025: Amazing quality food, best in Drogheda in my opinion. The chips are so fluffy and not super greasy. I recently had to change go-to chippers due to drop in quality and it is a delight to find Macari's, the beef doesnt take like fish, its friendly on the tummy, and quality is kept in mind. Lighting speed delivery as well! Cant go wrong with a good awl Macari's ;)

01/01/2026: Sarsfield's? More like Stinkfield's. Absolutely shocking venue for New Year's Eve. The most excitement I got all night was a tumbleweed blowing through the bar. The staff decided to all clock off at 9:30pm so they could get their power naps in. As soon as they stopped serving, everyone cleared out of the pub as if there was a stinkbomb that was set off. Only positive was the freshly cut pineapple that was being sold at the food stall. Should've gone to McHugh's.
