26/12/2024: Great food friendly staff and very reasonable prices

14/12/2024: Took my mum for late lunch today and we went for the crispy plaice ... and were both astonished how tasty it was! Plaice was a fish we would often do during summer holidays on the seaside when I was a kid and it still hold very special place in our memories. And today brough it all back and was just perfect time on a grey day :) not to mention the staff that just brightens the room and is always more than happy to help 😊

14/01/2025: Stopped off at Claremont for Sunday Lunch and I have to say it did not disappoint. Plenty of options on the menu and we opted for the roast beef dinner, which I have to say was one of the best roast dinners I have ever had, desserts were fab, will definately return

02/01/2025: We took dinner on December 31st. A table must be reserved in advance. The restaurant is small and cramped, but this adds some charm to the place. Large selection of wine. The dishes are delicious and original. When we arrived it was completely booked, people love this place. We took two starters and two main course, a bottle of water and second-hand beer. Paid 91 euros. The dishes are quite filling, considering the small portions and are based on vegetables. We've been wanting to go here for a long time, and overall we're happy. The photo shows the starters.

02/12/2024: Delicious food. Friendly service that was able to accommodate substitutions. Wish this restaurant was in Dublin. Can’t wait to go back! Edit: Came back 5 months later from Dublin. Third time this year. Service was again top notch and all the food we ordered was outstanding. Highly recommend their fried chicken, croquettes, corn ribs, pasta, soup… Truth be told, we haven’t tasted anything here that wasn’t next level. All of it is infused with innovative flavours that I haven’t had elsewhere and evidently keeps my husband and me coming back for more! I tell all my friends about this place. It’s also lovely to be able to watch the star chef work passionately in the kitchen from the dining room. He clearly cooks with love. Don’t miss the chance to dine here if you have the opportunity.

03/11/2024: We went there to celebrate a birthday. The service was great and the food as expected. Price is a little high but nothing to break you. They were very accommodating and placed a candle on the cake.

04/01/2025: Not a great experience. The food is okay. Would have loved to have left a great review as the general staff are lovely. Was served by the owner around a month ago or so but forgot to leave a review. How the owner speaks to his customers is awful, I cannot imagine what it must be like for the staff, who were actually quite lovely with good manners. I have noticed other customers' reviews here where the owner shouts at his customers and honestly I can unfortunately believe it due to his hospitality towards the customers. Would not visit again.

18/12/2024: Hotel food area was very cold.. draughts. Main door. Those spinning ones.. very difficult to maneuver in with disabled person. Fire doors either side but unknown if open until you're on the inside.

15/12/2024: We were getting married in Darver Castle on Dec 7th, so myself the bridal party and my extended family stayed in Fairways the night before so we would only be 10 mins away from Darver the day of the wedding. We booked the executive suite as it had lots of room for getting ready. If you are a Darver bride and won't to get ready and stay near by this room is ideal. It has loads of natural light for the makeup and lots of space for hair and makeup to happen same time. Buffet breakfast that morn was delious and we got lunch delivered to the room while we were getting ready. The staff were all lovely and really accommodating of all the wedding guests. Any over flow guest who couldn't stay in Darver stayed in Fairways and they put on a bus to bring and collect them. Would recommend, Lovely stay.
