The best restaurants in Dundalk

29/06/2025: Enjoyed a nice pint of Carlsberg. The food smelt delicious and it was very busy so a great sign. Shame I had a late breakfast, so I was not hungry.

Thanks for accommodating our vegan girlos. Absolutely stunnin’ food, authentic Italian all day long! Great prep ahead of our brides Italian wedding in September ! X

17/06/2025: We decided to go to this restaurant for lunch, and we weren't disappointed. We had the prosciutto and mozzarella platter and the mixed bruschetta as starters. (Some are with sun-dried tomatoes and chili peppers, so they're spicy.) A perfect pairing. Then, we ordered the eggplant parmigiana and a plate of penne alla diavola, a spicy tomato sauce. These two dishes undoubtedly had the taste and aroma of Italy. We finished with a cannoli and a coffee, washed down with a good red wine. Finally, the welcome and service were perfect, and we were able to exchange a few words in Italian with the owner. We saw some very appetizing pizzas passing by at the next tables. I recommend it.

08/07/2025: Had been meaning to go for a longtime and when it suited not disappointed. Monday night is always sometimes difficult to find a restaurant but the Square opens and was very busy. Diffucult to pick from the menu as great choice ended up with small plates. Do definitely have the cabbage a vegetable often boring here it was fantastic with a light touch . It is easy with some ingredients to shine but to do so with cabbage is extraordinary. Can't wait to go back and try other items. If only we could have a restaurant such as this in Drogheda.

05/06/2025: Atami is a wonderful restaurant. It's a bit pricey. Sometimes, service is slow, but overall, it's not a place I'll be avoiding anytime soon.

29/06/2025: Had a party of 7 family gathering at this very pleasantly appointed Bar/Restaurant. Not cheap, but what’s cheap anyway in 2025? It’s an Irish restaurant in Ireland serving pretty standard fare, curries, burgers, fish platter, salads etc I hurt my soul to order the Fish and Chips - sold to me as “Cod Tempura” which perhaps justified the two kiddie sized pieces of battered cod. Fish and chips should be satisfying. It’s Dundalk not Osaka Dessert for me was the Pavlova which was presented on an under baked meringue shell. It was mainly just beaten egg whites with sugar with no delicious crunch I would come back because I think maybe the main chef was not working Surroundings are lovely and service is super friendly (although your waiters should be aware that rice is gluten free)

The overall atmosphere is great, and the service was quick! I ordered a sandwich and it arrived timely, made fresh with great ingredients! I highly recommend stopping by.

18/06/2025: Atmosphere and service was excellent. Im gluten intolerant and the server made sure the looked after my order. A lot of us got steaks and everyone of the steaks were overcooked to our liking.

05/07/2025: This was an amazing hotel while I was touring Ireland. 10/10 would recommend. Service and hospitality was amazing while the rooms where comfortable and private. Would go again. Also in realitive walking distance to most places

26/03/2025: Around 25 years ago my friends called me Gino... So, I had to try this restaurant🙂 I came in and I was truly surprised... The place is WOW - nice and clean, pleasant, spacious and tempting to try something new. Varied menu with a good few pearls in it - e.g. fried chicken with secret crumbs on it! and mixed kebab tray - just made my evening. Staff behind the counter ware extremely welcome, happy and willing to help with my order. It is next level of sit-in or takeaway. Thank you Gino's Diner. Great job👍🏼
