The best restaurants in Ballina

04/01/2026: Went to the new play centre ripples and the kids had so much fun. It's a little on the small side but works well for what we used it for. Prices are what you would typically pay for a play centre. Staff were lovely and the place was very clean.

27/12/2025: Admittedly, the hotel is a bit far from the center of Ballina (about a 30-minute walk from the train or bus station), but it's easily manageable with luggage without needing a taxi, which will cost you 10 euros for barely a kilometer! We had a very comfortable stay. The room and bathroom were clean, very spacious and quiet, and the twin room had two large beds. Complimentary bottled water was provided. We had breakfast once, and it was satisfactory. The only real downside was that the pool and spa complex were under renovation after our booking, so we couldn't use them; we were notified by email well before our arrival. I'm happy with my experience in Ballina.

15/09/2025: Very nice place, good athmosphere and just go in..for a drink stay in the pub, and for a meal you can go inside to the adjacent restaurant BarSquare for a perfect meal. We really liked it here , the best place in our Ireland trip.

23/09/2025: This was the perfect place for this Philadelphian! While an old traditional Irish pub, the wall was lined with Philly team hats! Pat the owner/bartender was very pleasant and personable, as we're all the friendly people I encountered there. This is a quiet but friendly bar and was perfect for my travel companion (who grew up up the street) and myself to sit at a table for personal discussions or at the bar to meet new folks. Weather did not permit, but there was an outside beer garden too! While visiting one evening,the back room broke out in Irish singing.. loved it. They do not serve food.

04/09/2025: We had such a lovely stay at Ballina Hotel. The view by the river and church was beautiful, and the rooms were clean and comfy. Breakfast was amazing, and the ladies serving it were so kind and caring it really made our mornings. The receptionists were very friendly, and the restaurant staff were super attentive. Great service, cozy atmosphere, and delicious food. Definitely 5 stars

31/10/2025: Attended a work meeting recently in the Ballina Manor Hotel. Parking under the hotel is limited, but there is more parking further down the street. The design of the hotel is charming, using the location of the river beside to best advantage so the views are available from many areas of the hotel - including the meeting room. All hotel staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The chef went out of his way to create lunch for dietary requirements!!

21/10/2025: This hotel is very clean and kept current. The People who work here are very nice. The food is very good, and the location is perfect.

04/12/2025: Update 4 years ago i left review "best Chinese in town" well that change drastically. Food is terrible now i dont know what happen dry hot and spicy is not even close what it use to be. I was their comming back customer every weekend, but im not anymore

07/11/2025: Went in to order a takeaway, was never in here before.. I was greeted with “what did you order” not a hi hello or anything. Then when the girl with me ordered, he looked at me “will you order together quick” . I had to tell him cancel the order as it was rude! And I’ll never step foot in there again after being spoken to like. Came across so rude as if he didn’t want custom. If it was close to closing time, then change closing time if he doesn’t want to wait there till 11.

02/11/2025: We went to this restaurant last bank holiday. The ambience was nice and the staff were good. But the food that was served to us was very disappointing. We only got 2 spring rolls, 4 prawn toasts, tiger prawn curry, spicy chicken burger. In total it came over 61euros. We had a bit higher expectations for the food quality or quantity due to the high priced rates in this restaurant. Not worth of your money to spend here.

13/10/2025: Waiter was extremely rude as I was trying to pursue my career as a facebook influencer. My cookie was served to me as in the picture. When I asked she said it was labelled as a "Crumbl Cookie". Disgrace!!!! (especially when it was €6). Very unsatisfied, will not be returning

29/07/2025: We were on our holidays in Ballina and decided to get an Indian takeaway. Going on reviews on Tripadvisor we went with Bisini. I don't know what the people who reviewed this were eating but our experience was awful. The onion bajani were burnt and the food was awful. We would never again go back!

05/09/2025: Always a good all rounder, love the spice boxes they do. Kebabs are great, fresh naan. Chips are good. Pizzas are typical apache pizzas, would recommend trying the local menu more than the pizzas.

30/08/2025: I ordered a chicken tenders and chips and no where did it state that it was a kebab tray very bad service and the person on the phone was very annoying as he refused to listen to me and started getting very aggressive
