30/12/2025: Super nice Christmas lunch. Great service.

22/12/2025: Great food and service as always. It's been a tradition for my husband and I to come here every Christmas. To be honest, we should be coming more given how amazing this place is.

12/01/2026: We have eaten in the snailbox a few times and this experience merited a review. We had a lovely meal and unfortunately we had an incident with our son which we had to raise with staff. Management stepped right in and took care of the situation and turned what could’ve been a very frustrating experience into one our son and us now remember for the kindness and understanding of the staff. Our son loves his snailbox hat too. Thank you for listening to us and for making an uncomfortable situation one that we now remember for how well you dealt with it and now our son can’t wait for us to go back!

12/01/2026: Staff were really nice and the restaurant itself was very clean and welcoming, kids loved looking around at all the different decor and hats. Kids got the nuggets and chips and were really happy, no complaints. They genuinely looked good and not just your standard frozen fair. The adults ordered the sirloin steaks and were left disappointed. The size of the steak itself was perfect but little effort was put into the cooking of them, zero seasoning was used on any steaks we were served nor where they cooked on a grill or over charcoal for added flavour. We all agreed we could have produced the same standard at home without the same cost associated. Would i go again yes, if i was to bring the kids somewhere local enough for a feed. Would i go again just with adults no if being honest there is better options near by.

27/10/2025: We stumbled on this restaurant after not being able to get into a different one. It was a great find! The food was incredible, the staff was amazing, and they were extremely kid-friendly! They provided us with a great experience on a busy evening, getting us in quickly even though we did not have a reservation.

16/12/2025: Lovely place with a warm atmosphere and genuinely friendly staff. The food was fresh, well prepared and full of flavour. Service was relaxed but attentive, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a nice meal. Would happily come back.

11/01/2026: Medley, where do we even start! Almost three weeks since our wedding and everyone is still talking about the incredible food, drinks, service, and most of all the staff. We always knew we didn't want a traditional wedding; we wanted something a little different, so we decided on City Hall and then to Medley - the best decision we ever made. To Andrew, Chris, Thiago, and all the wait and bar staff you are all amazing at what you do, and we are so grateful! Wish we could do it all again. What a vibe !! xx

11/12/2025: Great location in the city centre. Attended a corporate Christmas party. Good for a few drinks, wasn't impressed with the food though apart from the canapés which were lovely. Dry turkey and ham without gravy. It wasn't possible to order any gravy or anything else either.

08/11/2025: Delicious lunch in Zuni's. We had the belly pork and the cod. Great service, excellent food and a lovely restaurant.

24/11/2025: Extremely poor food. Staff very slow to complete payment process and I also was given incorrect change. I received a chicken burger with 2 dry pieces of chicken in a plain bap. Came along with a pea sized portion of chips for an extortionate price of close to €20

31/10/2025: This is one of the best places in the area. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The food is sensational and highly recommended. The owner, Bashkim, also paints beautiful pictures that can be admired there.

08/06/2025: Had the classic. Great home made sausage with just the right spices. Roll held together till the end. Onions and peppers were tender and fresh.

04/06/2025: Contained in the huge English Market SC ,this place stands out from all the other exceptional vendors. Just a small stall with usually only 3 workers, it can turn out food to die for. All sandwiches are make rite on the spot. You can customize or order any of the house specials. Grab a special, find a quiet spot, (not possible) and enjoy.

15/01/2026: We attended yesterday as a family of 5 for my birthday and put downstairs. There was no atmosphere down here but that was fine. There was only 2 tables down there with people on them so want busy which was fine. The service was very poor. I had to walk to the bar to get my drinks as the girls weren't too bothered to come over to us. I was surprised as there was only 2 tables with people on it We got the satay chicken for a starter and it was dry and overcooked. It wasn't cremated just dry and didn't taste nice. The satay want the best as it was very lumpy. I got the 3 flavor sweet and sour with fillet beef. The beef wasn't filet beef,it was dry and overcooked. It was so chewy and actually horrible, the sauce was nice but the dinner was ruined with beef. After that I got a birthday cake and it was absolutely disgusting. Dry and very hard to eat so I left it there. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and I'm massively disappointed as I really wanted it to be a special birthday but left very disappointed. After spending 6 weeks in Thailand this year I was really hoping it would bring back the flavors and nostalgia but it really left a bad taste in my mouth I wanted to say it to the girls but I didn't see them as they didn't come to us. Maybe they were having a bad day or something but a smile would have been nice.I paid the bill and walked off. Safe to say I won't be going back again

04/01/2026: We went for a birthday celebration last night 14 in total - we were there 3 hours for 2 course meal Food was excellent but the service was the worse ever our waitress so rude never spoke - pushed food onto table no excuse me waiting over half our to take order and then waiting on food - ordered ice cream for my granddaughter that took half an hour- impossible to get waitresses attention but served other table behind us Have never had this on other occasions in Siam thai - would have expected better especially for the cost of our bill !!! Disgracefull

31/12/2025: Huge portions, great barbacoa. He salsa was a little too sweet.

31/12/2025: It kept us warm on the afternoon of December 31st. It was open even though it was well past lunchtime, the staff were friendly, the prices were slightly cheaper than the city average, and the food was good and unpretentious. We had a burrito and a bowl with a beer for €28.

29/12/2025: Food was lovely. I had the eggs Benedict. Service was excellent. Staff is lovely in there. Upstairs atmosphere not great but it might just have been the time of day.

13/12/2025: We attended to Bookshelf last night for our staff Christmas party and I could not compliment it enough! From my initial enquiry to paying the bill last night Paul and his team were brilliant, they were extremely accommodating, efficient and the food was sensational. It’s great to see the food scene in Cork thriving and the bookshelf have always been brilliant at what they do and last night was no different. This venue was perfect for a private hire for and definitely a hidden gem.
