Beautiful ambience in a beautiful setting, especially in the evening.
The owner is a real gentleman who goes to great lengths to make sure that you have a good time.

13/11/2024: Lovely hotel, relaxed but attentive Irish service. Room very nice and whilst the bathroom was perfectly fine it was starting to look a tad dated. In the bar, Philipe was great on Monday evening, good chat as it was quite quiet and Helen on Wednesday morning who went out of her way to get some bar food early for me as I had a train to catch. She also sorted my taxi to the station. Will definitely be back.
14/10/2024: Located very centrally, but the room I had was over the street, very noisy at night. Rooms very basic no safe to leave valuables when going out

31/10/2024: 30/10/24 shower out of service inside and the outside shower is stinking and the water pressure is terrible. The urinals were out of service too. The bins were overflowing. Pretty poor visit considering it had a revamp recently when the M&S food arrived.
23/10/2024: Everything you need at the one place. Refuel whatsoever needed. Petrol, food, nice coffee

1. Toilets -disgusting and smelly
2. Staff - unfriendly and very unwelcoming
3. Food - we did not enjoy our meals.
25/07/2024: Visit this place at least once a month, worth the 40mins drive, lunches are very consistent, tasty, never have a bad meal in last 10 years in it, fast efficient service as well, one of the best places in Kilkenny for dinner and reasonably priced.

06/11/2024: I'd say it's a tourist trap due it's location, the most expensive pint after traveling in Ireland for over a week, the place smells so bad, we even had to drink the pint very quick because it was so annoying the smell in the entire place that we couldn't stay there any longer.
Music was great tho

29/10/2024: Avoid this place at all costs. The rooms look nothing like the website. The smelt of stale food and damp.
We booked 2 rooms for 5 people, stained mattresses, duvets, and pillows.
Showers had little or no hot water, and the pressure was very poor.
There was no heating in the place. No one at reception to complain to.
Doors are all operated by an app that has to be downloaded to your phone. There is no emergency contact if you have problems with the app.
Booked for 2 nights but only stayed for one.
The only good thing about the place is its location - its right in the centre of town.
Would not recommend this place at all
29/09/2024: Very disappointing experience. Carpets were dirty, shower barely worked, stained duvet cover, loud street noise all night long - would not recommend.

10/07/2024: Low-quality food for the price, unfriendly atmosphere, didn't feel very hygienic, disappointed with this place, would not recommend since there are so many places that are actually friendly and delicious to eat/drink in Kilkenny.
10/07/2024: Overall not satisfying experience. Food was dissapointing and bland. Definitely not recommended. Atmosphere was rude and unfriendly.

28/10/2024: Great service from the minute we walked in. Staff were friendly and attentive but not overbearing. We order two steak sandwiches and a side portion of the famous hash browns. Everything was cooked to perfection and the portion sizes were good! The standard of food was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. We will be returning soon!
20/10/2024: Amazing service, staff are so friendly and accomodating, and food was delicious, would recommend and definitely will revisit in the future.
