31/12/2025: Very overpriced for an average meal. Steak was cold and had unedible onion rings, felt sick after eating one, too oily by far, wifes fish was cold, tea was even cold. Guinness wasn't great. Desserts were good value though.

02/01/2026: Went in today since it's relaunch as Ruby's Lounge, and well any character that was there with The Uluru has been replaced by MDF panelled walls. It felt more like an upscale Witherspoon's Pub than a pub.
My daughter had a child's portion of fish & chips and it was very tasty. The beef roast was plentiful, but the buttermilk chicken burgers while decent in portion had zero flavour in the batter, and the chips were more akin to McDonald's chips twice cooked than proper thick cut chips, the portion of red sauce that comes with on the plate had a very strong vinegar taste.
The bar staff I can't fault, they were brilliant and very attentive.

19/12/2025: Eur800.00 was deducted by Mara restaurant 4 days before the date of the reservation. No prior advice or agreement was given. I rang the restaurant owner thinking this was a mistake and the conversation began with an argument, no apology. I cancelled the reservation as a result and - in fairness - the money was returned immediately. I never received any apology for this transaction from Mara which leads me to believe they think this practice is ok. Avoid giving your card for reservation. Maybe the food is good but I'll never find out.
06/12/2025: Genuinely the best dining experience in Ireland- the best mix of top quality food and excellent service - Mara is an experience not to be missed.

24/10/2025: I haven't been to this pub in ages. Since university I'd say. It's so cosy and there is a lovely atmosphere there. It has a small upstairs venue too which is cool.
The people we spoke to we very friendly too. As was the bar man Tom. So welcoming and witty at the same time. My type of person.
A great selection of IPA'S which pleased me no end.

23/10/2025: Best pub in town ! Tom is the nicest ever and it's an absolute beautiful place. It feels warm (the fireplace is so nice when it's cold) and homey and so cosy. A must visit with a large choice of beer ! Thank you for the kind welcome !! We will be back !

Sticky tables, weird odor. Very outdated interior in comparison to other Costas.
Unless they fix it, avoid coming here.

19/06/2024: We visited this hotel while in Waterford. The staff here are friendly, polite, mannerly and helpful. The bar/restaurant staff particularly is what stands out. If I was to be critical I would say I preferred the old food menu, the fish and chips is not the same as it once was. Lovely spot to visit.
24/04/2024: Lovey food and ambiance. Great staff. Was so nice to wind down and enjoy a meal after browsing around boutiques in Waterford all morning. Had the roast beef and it was as nice as the frock I bought earlier. Treat yourself and enjoy a nice meal by the sea.

Copper Coast Cafe

09/06/2024: Superb cafe in a beautiful setting. Great coffee, delicious freshly baked pastries and cake, home made soup, salads in a lovely relaxed atmosphere. It is also dog friendly which is a great.
01/06/2024: We’ve stopped at the Copper Coast Cafe about 5 times now. We are always met with a very friendly welcome. The food is superb, really fresh and tasty, with a lot of home made bakes and cakes. I cannot recommend it enough - JUST GO!! And experience it yourself
