26/01/2025: This was a beautiful place to eat. I could not recommend it highly enough. Food was top class. Owner was very attentive and pleasant. We will definitely return.

14/01/2025: We had the tasting menu just after Christmas and it was amazing. Everything is well prepared and we would love to come back when we get the chance.

01/02/2025: Expensive, perhaps somewhat over-rated The food was nice, but for the price nothing spectacular. The desserts at €7.50 were small (see photos). I got the steak, which at €35 one would expect at least some vegetables with it, plenty of space on the plate after all (see photo). All the food WAS well done and tasty to be fair, but I didn't leave full after €140 for the four of us without drinks. The staff are very friendly. We had the waitress Evelina and she was brilliant, and so were the others. Regarding atmosphere - we booked online, but were put in an overflow chamber which looks more like an events room (the castle room it's called). Two large tables filled up and it got so loud there, that we struggled to hear ourselves speak. The table next to us asked to be moved. The wait between orders seemed to be a long time, but they were full up (it was Friday night). I wouldn't be rushing back to be honest.

29/01/2025: Went for Women's Little Xmas, their drink menu was divine, especially the Rudolph one!! Love their patatas bravas and humus, so delicious 😋

03/02/2025: Definitely the cosiest and friendliest pub in Waterford - the little snug with the fire is beyond compare. Great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks with superb recommendations from Tom and the bar staff. Gigs upstairs are unreal. Best value glass of wine in a crystal glass ever!

29/12/2024: This evening, at 5:30 pm on a quiet Sunday, I brought my 16-year-old son and three of his friends to play a game of pool to celebrate his birthday. We had just done a day of bowling and go-cart racing so I wanted them to wind down and have a chat. The place was practically empty - just a couple and two older gentlemen. However, when my son went to get change from the bar, the barman informed him that he needed to be 21 to play pool??? I stepped in and asked "do you have to be over 18 to play pool?" The barman insisted that was the rule. Frustrated and bewildered, we left. I immediately rang the Mansion House next door to ask if the same rule applied there. The barman on the phone actually laughed and said, “Of course not—bring them in, as long as they’re not drinking!” Honestly, what a joke.

25/01/2025: Very Disappointed! Beautiful Hotel, rooms are stunning! However, I would advise eating out as the hotel restaurant staff are very unfriendly & unprofessional. We waited 45 minutes in the hotel lobby to be seated for dinner, there were also people eating their dinners in the lobby due to long waiting periods for tables! We were also halfway through our main course before our drink orders were taken… we then wanted to order desserts & waited 30 mins after finishing our main courses before anyone approached our table to clear it or take out dessert order! BUT the table beside us who had came in as we had finished our mains had orders taken & had also finished their mains, their table was cleared straight away whilst we were left to wait another 10 minutes!!! During this 30 minute wait a number of staff had gone past our table looking over & turning the other way! The restaurant was busy at this time yes but, 90% of the staff were standing behind the counter talking or walking around doing nothing & avoiding tables…

24/01/2025: It's not a bad hotel a bit unorganised Rooms are good, no air con but fine Breakfast is quite nice. There are no drawers in the room to put your clothes
