26/10/2025: Last night I was here with a hen party of some 36 women - we were in a beautiful room to the back of the restaurant. The rest of the restaurant was extremely busy - which makes the fact that the food and service being excellent -all the more impressive ! I had the prawn linguine - recommended by my friend who coincidentally had attended this same restaurant with another hen party 2 weeks earlier - and had been impressed then too. Beef dish was delicious as was the hake - of 36 women there was universal approval . I have rarely seen this in a group this large - staff were courteous and efficient. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

07/09/2025: Had been hoping to try Mara for a while now and went for their Harvest Festival tapas menu last night - it did not disappoint! The atmosphere of the restaurant feels really special, the service was great and the food was unique and delicious. Special mention for the burnt basque cheesecake which was amazing! Looking forward to visiting again soon.
03/09/2025: On a quiet Sunday evening we had a ovely inventive tasting menu with Luis fusing Japanese cuisine with Irish produce and his Spanish influences. Also great wine pairings!

02/11/2025: Had a lovely dinner here today with my family. Food was fantastic. Got up to get dessert and coffee and there was a queue and a lovely girl took our order from the table which was really kind. Definitely come again

24/10/2025: I haven't been to this pub in ages. Since university I'd say. It's so cosy and there is a lovely atmosphere there. It has a small upstairs venue too which is cool.
The people we spoke to we very friendly too. As was the bar man Tom. So welcoming and witty at the same time. My type of person.
A great selection of IPA'S which pleased me no end.

23/10/2025: Best pub in town ! Tom is the nicest ever and it's an absolute beautiful place. It feels warm (the fireplace is so nice when it's cold) and homey and so cosy. A must visit with a large choice of beer ! Thank you for the kind welcome !! We will be back !

20/11/2025: My wife and I had breakfast. Very good coffee and great food. Very friendly staff. We will definitely come back again.
12/11/2025: My husband and I got caught in the rain while walking, our bag handle had snapped, I joked with the very polite cashier about having one of those days. When Grace brought out our coffees she very kindly offered us a plastic bag to put ours into, having overheard what had happened. Such a small but kind gesture and one we really appreciated and made the remainder of our walk a lot easier!
On a side note the coffees were delicious and as we looked around the food looked likewise but the service we received will definitely bring us back for a longer visit.

10/09/2025: Kind staff, has an upstairs seating which I love and I always come for the berry refresher, wish they’d supply more of that pasta though, but it’s amazing and I’d recommend going for a quiet place to relax and hang out or to get some work done.
02/08/2025: Under staffed and those that were on were dirty looking and rude. Cappuccinos are served with chocolate. Don’t act as if it’s an inconvenience! Tables filthy. Would not use the toilets as manky.

19/06/2024: We visited this hotel while in Waterford. The staff here are friendly, polite, mannerly and helpful. The bar/restaurant staff particularly is what stands out. If I was to be critical I would say I preferred the old food menu, the fish and chips is not the same as it once was. Lovely spot to visit.
24/04/2024: Lovey food and ambiance. Great staff. Was so nice to wind down and enjoy a meal after browsing around boutiques in Waterford all morning. Had the roast beef and it was as nice as the frock I bought earlier. Treat yourself and enjoy a nice meal by the sea.

Copper Coast Cafe

09/06/2024: Superb cafe in a beautiful setting. Great coffee, delicious freshly baked pastries and cake, home made soup, salads in a lovely relaxed atmosphere. It is also dog friendly which is a great.
01/06/2024: We’ve stopped at the Copper Coast Cafe about 5 times now. We are always met with a very friendly welcome. The food is superb, really fresh and tasty, with a lot of home made bakes and cakes. I cannot recommend it enough - JUST GO!! And experience it yourself
