The Old Couch Café

09/10/2024: I recently dined at Le Mara restaurant and am excited to share my experience. The cuisine is simply succulent, each dish prepared with care and quality ingredients. Additionally, the service was impeccable thanks to our waitress, who was both attentive and very friendly. She was able to advise us on the menu and make our meal even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Le Mara to anyone looking for a great dining experience!

08/10/2024: As we were staying in Waterford we decided to book this restaurant for dinner one night and delighted we did.
The restaurant was absolutely spotless and had a good ambience when we arrived. The staff were professional and really friendly throughout our time there.
The food was delicious. We all ordered different dishes and each one was cooked perfectly.
Would recommend.

04/10/2024: Scones were burnt and like rock yet still given out to people instead of making a new batch. French toast was soggy and black like cooked on dirty pan that cooked rasher and sausages whole lot was not edible. Staff took plates away made no comment. You can't go for just a coffee you have to buy food but the chef should be sacked they can't cook. Lovely restaurant terrible food waste of money. Stay away go somewhere else
22/09/2024: It was ok. 28€ for breakfast for 2 people and no table service. The tea wasn’t hot and there were no mirrors in or around the bathrooms. The teller looked like she wanted to be somewhere else, but the servers kept the tables clean and were good at greeting.

19/06/2024: We visited this hotel while in Waterford. The staff here are friendly, polite, mannerly and helpful. The bar/restaurant staff particularly is what stands out. If I was to be critical I would say I preferred the old food menu, the fish and chips is not the same as it once was. Lovely spot to visit.
24/04/2024: Lovey food and ambiance. Great staff. Was so nice to wind down and enjoy a meal after browsing around boutiques in Waterford all morning. Had the roast beef and it was as nice as the frock I bought earlier. Treat yourself and enjoy a nice meal by the sea.

Food not cooked properly
27/04/2024: Very tasty Food , service was very quick fair play to the young girl at the hot food she knew her stuff except not once did she change her gloves while dishing out the food arranging it on the plates normally this isn't an issue but she was using the same gloves dishing and arranging the sweet waffles for me that's a no no as been vegetarian having someone arranging sausages and bacon on the plate before mine

09/06/2024: Superb cafe in a beautiful setting. Great coffee, delicious freshly baked pastries and cake, home made soup, salads in a lovely relaxed atmosphere. It is also dog friendly which is a great.
01/06/2024: We’ve stopped at the Copper Coast Cafe about 5 times now. We are always met with a very friendly welcome. The food is superb, really fresh and tasty, with a lot of home made bakes and cakes. I cannot recommend it enough - JUST GO!! And experience it yourself
