11/10/2026: Beautiful restaurant! Great service and menu. Dog friendly . Menu is amazing ,with lots of choices of food and drinks .Even outside area is set up beautifully. Favorite place in Dungarvan . Busy and thankfully we managed to reserve . Must try place ! Can’t wait to go back !

Food was excellent also from breakfast to dinner.

10/10/2026: I'll preface this review by saying that I'm nobody or nothing to the food game. I enjoy cooking and messing about in the kitchen at home.
I booked the tasting menu at Mara with my wife for our wedding anniversary because once a year we are absolutely worth it.
The restaurant is small, only eight tables but immediately felt like stepping into your cooler friend's living room. The lighting was soft, the furniture quirky and the music gloriously familiar.
The front of house staff were lovely, the food was genuinely exquisite, nothing short of a gastronomical triumph! I'm not going to attempt to explain an eleven course meal 🤷
The following afternoon I was standing outside a shop staring at the world through my open mouth when I spotted Chef Martin. I approached him and we chatted for a few minutes. He is an incredibly humble and chilled out individual. I cannot recommend Mara highly enough.

20/09/2026: Bit pricy for drinks alone. Tea is €3.50 plus a 50c flat charge for a splash of oat milk (€4 total). Steep for tea drinkers. My friend also got tea so they gave us a pot to share. Maybe reassess charging for alternative milks in tea when not as much milk is used as would be in lattes etc...

31/08/2026: Lovely, friendly, polite staff, excellent pints. Crowd can skew young on a Saturday (like everywhere else in town), but it's a solid pub and the staff are extremely diligent in their ID checking requirements.
Great pint to be had as well at €6 and no food eaters taking up room if you're only for pints.

19/06/2024: We visited this hotel while in Waterford. The staff here are friendly, polite, mannerly and helpful. The bar/restaurant staff particularly is what stands out. If I was to be critical I would say I preferred the old food menu, the fish and chips is not the same as it once was. Lovely spot to visit.
24/04/2024: Lovey food and ambiance. Great staff. Was so nice to wind down and enjoy a meal after browsing around boutiques in Waterford all morning. Had the roast beef and it was as nice as the frock I bought earlier. Treat yourself and enjoy a nice meal by the sea.

Copper Coast Cafe

09/06/2024: Superb cafe in a beautiful setting. Great coffee, delicious freshly baked pastries and cake, home made soup, salads in a lovely relaxed atmosphere. It is also dog friendly which is a great.
01/06/2024: We’ve stopped at the Copper Coast Cafe about 5 times now. We are always met with a very friendly welcome. The food is superb, really fresh and tasty, with a lot of home made bakes and cakes. I cannot recommend it enough - JUST GO!! And experience it yourself
