The best restaurants in Sligo

14/02/2024: Security here is a joke. Have they no standards of decency? I saw a lovely girl get basically harassed by these horrid looking tramps and their scrote boyfriend. Some little fire hydrant looking security guard with a bow tie just stood and watched with an amused smirk on his face. I knew Sligo didn't have the best reputation before we decided to have a night out here, but had no idea local businesses actually encourage degeneracy.

09/02/2024: To anyone wishing to visit Sligo please be aware A Disappointing and Unacceptable Experience: Assault by Bouncing Staff I recently visited Lola Montez with high expectations for a night of enjoyment and relaxation. Unfortunately, my experience quickly turned sour due to the appalling behavior of the bouncing staff, resulting in a distressing and unforgettable incident. From the moment I arrived, I was met with unwelcoming attitudes from the bouncing staff. Despite adhering to all guidelines and protocols, I was subjected to unnecessary hostility and aggression. The situation escalated when one of the bouncing staff members physically assaulted me, completely unprovoked. The assault left me feeling shaken and vulnerable, tarnishing what was meant to be a fun outing. It is utterly unacceptable for any establishment to condone such behavior from its employees. The lack of professionalism and disregard for customer safety is deeply concerning and cannot be overlooked. Furthermore, the management's response to the incident was shockingly inadequate. Instead of addressing the issue promptly and ensuring my well-being, they attempted to downplay the severity of the situation and dismissed my concerns outright. Their failure to take decisive action only exacerbated the distress caused by the assault. Overall, my experience at Lola Montez was marred by incompetence, aggression, and a blatant disregard for customer safety. I strongly advise against patronizing this establishment until they address the systemic issues within their staff and management. No one should have to endure such mistreatment while simply trying to enjoy a night out. For anyone wishing to enjoy themselves for a night out in Sligo please be aware of this and for anyone wanting to travel to Sligo for a fun experience I would advise you to stay clear of Lola Montez until they make serious changes to their staff and their attitude's towards customers as it really was a night to forget After travelling for three to four hours it was a complete waste of time and was ruined by absolute incompetence as I requested staff to look at CCTV footage I was met with hostility to then have no choice but to leave the area in fear of my own safety Taxi drivers in the area have also heard of stories like mine when I explained my story on my way back to my hotel I would highly discourage anyone from attending this horrible place

29/08/2023: As I was wandering around I decided to pop into this bar which was off the main drag. Place was heaving and what was unusual (or normal) was that the clientele were more interested in the horse racing than the rugby, which might tell you a bit about the type of bar it was. Got a pint and sat down and rested my legs, recoup the old batteries. Decent bar, good service, and a bit of an atmosphere in the pub. Best to go with a friend as they probably don't take kindly to strangers round here, lol, or that could be the mad state of me! Anyway I like bars like this, rough and ready, do the business and no pretentiousness, its a real town pub.

14/12/2023: Shane is such a pleasant and great worker at the brewery. Always has a smile on his face 10/10 service with a smile!! Hands down the best bar man about the brewery!!!!
