21/02/2026: Stopped into Goosers and it’s an absolute gem of a little bar/restaurant. Ambience: We grabbed a seat in the bar area beside the fire — perfect spot for settling in with a few Guinness. On a wet winter’s night, you honestly couldn’t design a better setting. It has that proper cosy Irish pub feel: warm lighting, great buzz, and a relaxed energy that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. Service: Top notch from start to finish. Food: Outstanding. The ribeye steak was genuinely epic — cooked perfectly and so tender it cut like butter. Full of flavour and done exactly right. The chips were beautifully crispy, and the peppercorn sauce tied it all together — rich, punchy and seriously tasty. A proper 10/10 dish. Even the Guinness were spot on — creamy and fresh. It’s the kind of place that reminds you how good a simple pub experience can be when it’s done properly. Can’t wait until I’m passing through again — it’s absolutely a must-stop spot.

24/12/2025: Good food and consistent, have had takeaway from there a few times, pizza travels but rest not so much, better to eat in there.

20/12/2025: Food was quite good. I got really really impressed by the tiramisu. I would have preferred if the Arancini weren't covered by a mountain of rocket. But they were good and the sauce that came with them amazing.

22/02/2026: Really nice hotel, really enjoyed it here. A very welcoming lady on reception was so friendly when we checked in and explained everything, I think her name was Margie. Another lovely staff member in the bar when we went for food, Faye, very helpful and attentive. Room was fabulous and very clean, I didn’t meet the housekeeping staff but they do an excellent job, we were in a waterfront room and the view was lovely. Overall had such a great stay, all the staff in the hotel were so nice, will definitely be back!

17/02/2026: We first stayed at this hotel last year and were so impressed that returning this year was an easy decision. It’s rare to revisit somewhere and feel the same level of satisfaction but this hotel absolutely delivered again. Every single member of staff we encountered was warm, professional, and clearly committed to doing their job well. What stood out most was that many of the team were the same as last year. That consistency made the hotel feel even more comfortable and welcoming, almost familiar. Our room was spotless, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The coffee making station may be a little old style, but it had everything we needed. Housekeeping was thorough. The leisure facilities were very well maintained. The pool area was kept clean with visible, regular upkeep. The lifeguard was attentive, and the gym was surprisingly spacious and well equipped for a hotel. We also really enjoyed the sauna and steam room, and the addition of a cold plunge was a great touch. Breakfast was enjoyable for both adults and children, with friendly staff and plenty of choice. We especially appreciated that gluten free and vegetarian options were available. The same consideration applied to dinner — a vegetarian menu was available upon request, with a good variety of options. That flexibility makes a real difference for families with different dietary preferences. The hotel’s views are beautiful and walking around the surrounding area was one of the highlights of our stay. It genuinely felt peaceful and uplifting. Dining was very good overall, with a varied and tasty menu. On busier evenings there was a bit of a wait, but staff came over to explain the delay, which we appreciated. Clear communication goes a long way. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

25/06/2025: Never in my 52 years on this planet have I ever experienced a genuine traditional Irish pub with fabulous musician for a trad session on Tuesday night. From the owner to the whiskey drinking bar man and musicians. Love you all. Had the time of my life. Thanks Sarah for the lift home... Gerard & Jenny.

14/02/2026: Absolutely Amazing 👏 Myself and my partner had dinner and desert on the friday the 13th and I can tell you there was no bad luck for us only all good , we had the most amazing time , from start to finish the staff were absolutely amazing ,making sure all our needs were met , I had the vegetarian curry and it was to die for. So yummy 😋 hubby had the burger which was also yummy but oh yes a big But th3 best was yet to come ,we got our deserts and by God I think we went to heaven for those moments of eating the most yummiest ,delicious chocolate fondant that I or anyone has ever tasted im sure of. So good my hubby had a second helping . If you want an amazing, top food and service I would highly recommend all the way 🥰🥰🥰
