21/02/2026: Stopped into Goosers and it’s an absolute gem of a little bar/restaurant.
Ambience:
We grabbed a seat in the bar area beside the fire — perfect spot for settling in with a few Guinness. On a wet winter’s night, you honestly couldn’t design a better setting. It has that proper cosy Irish pub feel: warm lighting, great buzz, and a relaxed energy that makes you want to stay longer than you planned.
Service:
Top notch from start to finish.
Food:
Outstanding. The ribeye steak was genuinely epic — cooked perfectly and so tender it cut like butter. Full of flavour and done exactly right. The chips were beautifully crispy, and the peppercorn sauce tied it all together — rich, punchy and seriously tasty. A proper 10/10 dish. Even the Guinness were spot on — creamy and fresh.
It’s the kind of place that reminds you how good a simple pub experience can be when it’s done properly. Can’t wait until I’m passing through again — it’s absolutely a must-stop spot.

24/12/2025: Good food and consistent, have had takeaway from there a few times, pizza travels but rest not so much, better to eat in there.

Myself and my partner had dinner and desert on the friday the 13th and I can tell you there was no bad luck for us only all good , we had the most amazing time , from start to finish the staff were absolutely amazing ,making sure all our needs were met , I had the vegetarian curry and it was to die for. So yummy 😋 hubby had the burger which was also yummy but oh yes a big But th3 best was yet to come ,we got our deserts and by God I think we went to heaven for those moments of eating the most yummiest ,delicious chocolate fondant that I or anyone has ever tasted im sure of. So good my hubby had a second helping .
If you want an amazing, top food and service I would highly recommend all the way 🥰🥰🥰

25/06/2025: Never in my 52 years on this planet have I ever experienced a genuine traditional Irish pub with fabulous musician for a trad session on Tuesday night. From the owner to the whiskey drinking bar man and musicians. Love you all. Had the time of my life.

09/12/2025: When u walk in you are greeted as if u were an old friend. The restaurant is large and airy lots of seating. They are good at accommodating small groups(12ish) with a reservation. There is a wide selection between the menu and specials board

19/08/2025: We had lunch in the his bar and found it average at best, we were upstairs over looking the bridge, the view was good but the seating was old, with damaged tember and very uncomfortable, this bar/restaurant would need to take advantage of their location and give the place a well needed makeover.
The staff were very friendly and the food was fresh.

13/07/2025: Staff have a lot to learn in terms of customer service .
Also cleanliness of the glasses and cutlery left alot to be desired. I picked up 5 glasses before I got one that was reasonable clean. I opted to drink from the bottle instead.
Cutlery was wet or had water marks on it and hadn't been polished.
These are basic things.
Food was OK but its just microwavable food.

10/08/2025: Homemade, delicious cakes and brownies that can be purchased by the slice. We dropped by the Milk Market expecting the normal food vendors but forgot only on Sat. Were disappointed until we found this cafe. Carrot and black forest cakes enjoyed as takeaway after dinner. Wow, best we've ever had here. Highly recommend!!!
