05/07/2025: Unfortunately, I can't recommend the hotel at all. While the service was quite good, parking was available near the centrally located hotel, and the room was okay for a 3-star hotel, clean and sufficiently large. The bathroom, however, was a disaster—everything was either yellowed, rusted, dirty, or moldy. It was incredibly loud; you could hear every door, every use of the plumbing, and every footstep in all the surrounding rooms all night long. The dining room was uncomfortable and cold, the food unappealing, and the chairs and dishes were damaged. Cahir Castle and Swiss Cottage may be worth a drive through, but in my opinion, an overnight stay in the village is unfortunately not worth it, especially given the lack of good places to eat.

24/05/2025: Based on the reviews we read, we decided to have lunch at Lava Rock Restaurant. Even before ordering, we found out that this outlet does NOT serve alcohol. A pity given the menu they feature. Anyway my wife ordered the Rigatoni Pasta and I took the Chicken Curry. Both dishes were simply excellent! We shared a raspberry cheese cake for dessert. Service was courteous and helpful! Krimo Birem our server even offered us to get us beer from the nearby pub!! Highly recommended!

Definitely will come back.

28/12/2024: This is by far the nicest, most welcoming friendliest take away I have ever been to. I recently while passing through cahir decided to stop in here , and I can’t stop but think about going back everyday for some food and the main guy working behind the counter is the friendliest, nicest person I have met. I am from clonmel and there is just something about cahir where the people are more friendly,nicer and more welcoming and the food in this Chinese is the nicest food I have ever got. Absolutely delicious and thank you for being so nice. I will be back and recommend this Chinese to everyone I speak to , for the food and the kindness. Thank you all for being so nice.

02/07/2025: myself and my husband came here a couple of weeks ago and I can't rate it high enough,Emilia the girl who served us was extremely helpful and worked really well under pressure in the busy period when we were there, always had a smile on her face,polite and friendly.we had a coffee,a berry herbal tea,a muffin and a sausage roll.the food was unreal.we will definitely be back.
17/06/2025: The Keep is now my only go-to for coffee.
The 3FE coffee is beautifully made by the very pleasant staff whom always serve you with a smile, even when there's a massive queue of people there.
I also work from there on occasion, utilising the seating space to the rear of the coffee shop.
Keep up the good work!

08/06/2025: Went here once and never again. Food was poor, coffee / drinks were awful and staff weren’t much better… seemed to be grumpy and moody when we stepped in the door. Could do with learning some manners or learning to smile, especially the lady with the British accent. Never again, you’re better off going elsewhere for food.
