01/04/2024: Booked table in bar this weekend overpriced for food received service was horrendous staff were good but manager was all over the place waited 20 minutes for menu another 10 mins for drinks left with empty plates in front of us for another 20 mins. For the price they charged for food expected better service . We felt that as we were not locals the staff ignored us. Booked table for special occasion and was left very disappointed.
10/03/2024: We had a fabulous lunch here on 9th March. The food was exceptional. Great service. Comfortable surroundings. Our party of 4 was very impressed. I had a roast beef open sandwich that was top class. Excellent.

09/01/2024: My self and my wife visit Carlow town 3 to 4 times per year. The Thatch pub is the highlight for us. Definitely the friendliest pub in Ireland both staff and locals.

22/03/2024: Oh goodness me ... just moved to Tullow, food was off the charts ... Sat in the pub ... beer fab ... staff very friendly... prices really good. My advice, get the burger, and if you are a vegetarian or vegan... get the burger anyway 😀

02/04/2024: It took 45 mins for a sandwich, very slow service. Coffee was very bland and cold. Staff were very rude about situation. There are much better places to go in Carlow, would not recommend here at all. I told them I will not be returning and I will not be.
20/03/2024: I only had a coffee in this place which was really good, smooth and enjoyable. The coffee deserves strong 4.5 stars. The gentleman behind the counter could have been a little bit nicer, hence 4, not 5 stars.

Food was delicious, hot and fresh.
Mighty Mac burger seems to be shrinking though, I pick more out of my teeth after a good feed than what it now provides.
Ice creams are really creamy and 99 was huge
12/11/2023: Called in with grandchildren chicken wraps chips and a drink which they throughly enjoyed. Coffee tea and scone for adults. Very nice. Will definitely call again
