01/04/2024: Scones and tea were great. Great selection of food/cakes as always.

22/03/2024: There is nothing you would like to see in such a little place. Overpriced. Not too friendly staff. Absolutely nothing which could make me come back here.

22/02/2024: Food. Cooked fresh. Pizzas made in Site. By chef. 9 of 10 Fresh. COD. Is not cod. If a white fish. Worked a lot with Fish...so I Know the Difference... but charging Cod prices Manger is Shop. Needs a lesson in Marrens Shop Owners. 10. +

01/01/2024: Great pub with lovely atmosphere. Clientele of all ages. Numerous screens for sporting events.

08/11/2023: One of the most authentic places in town. They broadcast various sports events. The atmosphere very much reflects the local pub culture. A fun pub where large groups usually spend time together. I'm not sure if it's the best place in town, but it can be said to be better quality than many other places.

02/04/2024: Our family spent Easter Bank Holiday (Fri to Mon) at Talbot Hotel in Carlow. I've never met such helpful staff - they were very professional and always with a smile. Just to name a few managers Gary Pendergrass & David Muszynski. The security staff and all the other staff from receptionist to cleaners. The food was very good & big portions. We found the soft drinks expensive 200ml bottle of coke cola was €3.90. The Talbot was very much a Hotel for families with small children with the Dome just next door which was very popular. Dunnes stores,Mr Price etc was just across the road - very convenient!! Considering there was refurbishments going on the staff should be applauded because we were hardly aware of it. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family & friends. We also got a very good deal for Easter with plenty of free parking Well done to all the staff you take great pride in your place of work.

29/03/2024: Stayed here overnight for a staff Christmas party. Had the most amazing room all to myself, so modern and clean! The bed was so comfortable I had one of the best nights sleep. A few of us stayed up until close at the hotel bar and the vibes were immaculate. Had one of the best nights here with my workmates I can't rate it highly enough! And the breakfast is great the next morning.

12/03/2024: Place is in the center of Carlow town. Tablets as menu. Nice interior. Lot of space. Toilets are clean. But at the same time flies, scratches on the tables. Food is great. Big portions. Selection of dishes isn't too bad. It was made pretty fast. Staff is friendly. Prices. It is cheap. For a dinner for two we paid 40€.

06/03/2024: Array of menu choice is impressive. Décor too! Background music was atmospheric. Staff are cordial, prompt yet sociable.

08/03/2024: Overpriced and extremely slow service. Mixing up orders and 30 to 40 minute wait despite not being that busy!

29/02/2024: Absolute overpriced for a sandwich, people who say it's the best sandwich they ever had probably live off weatherspoons food. P.S loved the stale tortilla chips

02/04/2024: Ordered a meal through the Drivethru no hassle, only to notice after awhile they had charged me 134.50 for ONE meal at the window, Female Manager in there was so rude and no apology was given, when it was the staff fault for making a silly mistake on card machine, they should take more time and train them properly

03/03/2024: The service was very poor. Our server was obviously new and unsure, which was ok. However, other floor staff appeared to lack training, i.e., clearing dirty tables, not returning to the kitchen empty-handed, basic courtesy such as stating which burger they were serving and not just saying "the burger", even when asked which burger the reply was "the burger"more than 1 type ordered on the table. Our order took forever to come, and while they were busy, 45 mins is a long wait when not having starters. We were seriously contemplating leaving and going elsewhere. When the food did arrive, everything was delicious. The biggest issue for me was that while visiting the very smelly ladies' bathroom, I observed a member of the floor staff use the loo and exit the bathroom without washing their hands 😳. Basics of service are lacking, which is a shame, but the hygiene issue is unforgiveable

01/04/2024: I am from carlow and i eat here a lot well not like unhealthy amount but a good few times every once in a while food may be cold but most pf the time its either piping hot or warm still the best food in the world anyways so

19/03/2024: My macchicken sandwich was roasting. Smaller but roasting. Double cheese burger was roasting as well. Looked nothing like the pictures. Fries were good. Very dear no offers on.
