The best restaurants in Clonakilty

10/08/2025: 5 staff behind the bar more interested in talking to each other than serving customers. Then when we did get attention, they were extremely rude....certainly won't be back for the service

13/07/2025: I dunno what the heck is wrong with this place. I'm new to Cork, Clonakilty and Ireland in general and was denied entry simply because I was alone. Although I've never been in.... I'll certainly never be back. Head to GG's instead! These guys are funny as hell saying they were closing at 21:00. Lots of lads had said the "security" staff packing roofies. Didn't believe it until that night.

16/08/2025: If you are looking for good food then avoid this restaurant. For drinks and a night out it may be different but as a restaurant the food is awful. Six of us went for dinner… starters and mains. Everything was below par. Much better places in Clon to go for dinner.

15/08/2025: I ordered fish and chips thinking it was fresh fish a resturant near the sea.but after a half an hour rubbish arrived.With a tang off it.Even the water had a tang off it. Can't say anything high about my meal only the price I will not be back John.

30/08/2025: We popped in for lunch this afternoon and were super impressed. Really friendly staff, fresh tasty food, the pizza and falafel were great. We'll definitely be back.

07/08/2025: I didn't find the takeaway pizzas very amazing, and not the cheapest either. I prefer to eat-in. They have some street seating which is great on a sunny evening as the sun hits it nicely!

18/08/2025: Absolutely fantastic from the first call to when we checked in Sinead was out of this world that Girl needs a medal from running reception to check guest in to making sure we are enjoying our stay even the bar man was brilliant breakfast was out of this world even better than were we stay Friday night will definitely be back xxx

07/06/2025: We dropped in for a coffee and a pastry but ended up choosing a cheese muffin as it looked delicious—and it lived up to our expectations. We also purchased a potato sourdough which has a hint of nutmeg (a German influence). The member of staff was very friendly and passionate about his craft and the produce. He also speaks fluent German, which came in handy as one client seemed to only speak German. If we lived locally we would shop here on a daily basis - but only after joining the local gym. We arrived just before 9am on a Saturday and customers were soon queuing down out the door, which is a great endorsement of the quality of the produce. Great coffee too. We also purchased a slice of coffee and walnut cake and apple strudel to take away. Both were very good - the strudel wasn't too sweet and was lightly spiced, and the coffee and walnut cake was extremely light, sweet - but not sickly and very delicious. Don't miss this place.

29/04/2025: Small bakery with pastries and cafe. Very warm and friendly proprietors.

08/06/2025: Had the classic. Great home made sausage with just the right spices. Roll held together till the end. Onions and peppers were tender and fresh.

04/06/2025: Contained in the huge English Market SC ,this place stands out from all the other exceptional vendors. Just a small stall with usually only 3 workers, it can turn out food to die for. All sandwiches are make rite on the spot. You can customize or order any of the house specials. Grab a special, find a quiet spot, (not possible) and enjoy.

13/05/2025: We had a wonderful time at Cafe On The Lane. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Lots of fresh pastries, cakes, etc. and a good selection of savoury sandwiches too. Reasonably priced and the quality of the food and drinks is fantastic. Very cute decor too.

26/07/2025: Very nice place in Clonakilty highly recommended. Great choices for breakfast, lunch or desserts. All local suppliers and the staff are very friendly and polite.

17/07/2025: Great place to eat lunch. The staff were friendly and attentive- the food came out quickly and was delicious. We both had the chickpeas & feta roll with salad. Mmmm

22/08/2025: Delicious dining experience! Firstly the venue had a great buzzing atmosphere especially for a Wednesday night. It looked great. We had some great drinks. Now the star of the show, the food … fabulous tastes and flavour. Spicy Sushi and a lovely chicken and potato main which also had a great source. If you’re passing by, you have to eat there !!
