23/02/2025: Great spot. Had lunch here recently & it was delicious. Staff are most helpful and efficient. Fire was lighting on a cold winters day creating a cosy atmosphere. Love the decor. Highly recommend.

16/04/2025: Gemütlicher Pub mit gutem Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen. Auf der Karte steht alles, was man in einem irischen Restaurant erwartet. Roast of the day, Fisch, Chicken Curry, Burger, Pizza und vieles mehr, all das zu vernünftigen Preisen. Mein Chicken Curry wavering der besten Mahlzeiten während meines Aufenthalts in Irland. Der freundliche und aufmerksame Service rundet den positiven Eindruck ab.

10/04/2025: Disappointing experience. My partner ordered fish and chips which was barely edible, fish totally overcooked, batter hard as rock. Even the mushy peas tasted like they had been defrosted and reheated multiple times. Our other main courses were nothing special either. Service was slow and unenthusiastic. Would not go there again.

09/03/2025: Incredible experience having a coffee in this place. Very pleasant atmosphere and decoration and the coffee, infusions and desserts are very good.

22/04/2025: We stopped in on a rainy day and this was just perfect. I had chicken tenders and they were perfection. It came with a small salad, but I had already devoured that and a couple tenders before I took a picture. Wife had a Cajun chicken wrap and loved it too.

05/04/2025: I found this place on Google while looking for a place to have breakfast on a Saturday morning and I have to say I couldn't have made a better choice. The place is really nice and well furnished. The staff were really friendly. The dish I ordered was really good, I would go there again.

08/04/2025: I highly recommend this place :) I often think of a hot dog, but it's a fast food that unfortunately doesn't get much love from the world. Most often, we get a standard sausage in a roll with sauce, or some overcomplicated version with a lot of incompatible additions. Of course, a hot dog will always be a hot dog, but it was really nice to finally eat something more than just a regular hot dog. There are several on the menu to choose from and I will definitely come back to test the others. The hot dog was very tasty, the toppings were well composed and the set version is a good alternative to a cheaper dinner. Another plus is the really good quality sausages, with which the cook even checked the temperature. Professional and friendly service. The gentlemen were happy to help. The atmosphere of the place also matches the dishes served.

09/03/2025: Had an amazing weekend away at the Emmet for our 5 year anniversary- room was lovely, the ladies at reception and breakfast were just as lovely, and a perfect location for exploring the lovely town of Clonakilty. Really couldn't reccomend this place enough.

25/01/2025: One of the loveliest, quaint little hotel I have visited. I will go back for a longer stay as the staff were great, they went about and beyond. Food was great as well.

17/04/2025: I hadn't been to the Whale's Tail for a few years but it is even better than I remember with a more extensive menu. The mains were all excellent and the staff make for a welcoming experience. The cocktails are also first-class. Highly recommended and definitely among the best spots in Clon.

03/04/2025: So disappointing, Mash potatoes were full of lumps and vegetables were barely cooked. Considering this place is affiliated with a distillery,They would not make me an old fashioned?? How strange. At this price you really should be able to serve up some tasty mash. My 8 year old literally does a better job.
