27/09/2024: The cakes were excellent, and the tea comes in proper china cups. Elvis was playing quietly on a proper record player. Superb!

23/02/2025: Great spot. Had lunch here recently & it was delicious. Staff are most helpful and efficient. Fire was lighting on a cold winters day creating a cosy atmosphere. Love the decor. Highly recommend.

15/02/2025: Friendly staff. Had a buttermilk chicken burger that was massive and very very tasty. My girlfriend had the fish and chips and adored it. Stout pints were delicious and the staff were very accommodating. Highly recommend for food and/or drinks. Great atmosphere and beautiful looking pub

21/01/2025: Amazing atmospheric pub, brilliant traditional Irish folk music but the most hostile reception you have ever had. As English people, we were looked at like we had 3 heads and felt incredibly unwelcome with people within the bar staring at us. Also, talking about us and ssshing because talking about us (and English people in general) "would affect money coming into the country"

20/11/2024: Had lunch here today. Absolutely delicious. I'm dairy free, yet they made a lovely Hawaiian Pizza with no cheese. Wouldn't even miss it. I'd a lo Ely hot chocolate made with Oat milk and look how it was presented. A lovely treat. My friend , she's Gluten Free, she had a fabulous fully loaded beef burger with gluten free bread. We will definitely be back.

30/10/2024: Just left after a fabulous meal. Two adults and two children - chowder was beautiful and full of flavour, tempura prawn and chips was delicious and the kids shared napolenta pasta and garlic bread. Highly recommend! Service was excellent and very friendly staff. Will definitely visit again if we come back to clonakilty!

07/12/2024: Facilitated family 30th birthday and nothing was a problem. Service was great, as usual, food again as always was brilliant. Would recommend for any occasion. Price extremely reasonable for a party of 7 adults and 1.5 children for food and drinks/alcoholic drinks.

26/01/2025: Cannot say enough positive things about this restaurant. We dined as a large group last night and everything was beyond perfect. The food beat all expectations. Generous portions and absolutely delicious. The staff were efficient, friendly and attentive not a bad word to say.

25/01/2025: One of the loveliest, quaint little hotel I have visited. I will go back for a longer stay as the staff were great, they went about and beyond. Food was great as well.

20/01/2025: We had a lovely stay at this charming family-owned hotel in room 3, which offered a beautiful view of Emmet Square. The location is fantastic, with convenient parking available right at the square. While we enjoyed a restful night, the duvet was a bit small for the bed, leaving the sides exposed and making it a tad chilly. The bathroom was decent and featured a tub, though we hoped for better plumbing fixtures. We savored a delicious mini Irish breakfast that included a nice selection of breads. However, the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the warm and friendly service from the staff.
