12/06/2025: Great meal out (pre-booked!) for a family birthday. The staff were very attentive and all very polite. There were clean plates all round (we ordered the trout, steak, chicken and monk fish, plus starters and dessert). It was a nice touch for the staff to sing happy birthday to one of our family members, with a lit candle in their dessert.
Recommend and would happily return if we visit Killybegs again.
04/06/2025: Really excellent seafood restaurant. 5 friends went for a birthday lunch and we were all impressed by the cooking, presentation and staff. Front of house was as good as anywhere I have been. Highly recommended.

13/06/2025: One of the best fish & chips I've had in Ireland. A bit hidden in Killybegs but we found it.
09/06/2025: Fantastic fish & Chips can I say anymore about it.
1st time back for a visit this year.
And now the topping on the cake they do fabulous onion rings and a curry sauce.

20/05/2025: Absolutely beautiful cafe! The dinner I had here was the nicest meal I've had in a very long time. I was only in the area for 4 days. We found this location on day 2 and I couldn't leave the area without having food there one last time.
I'm still thinking about the food days later!
The staff were so lovely and helpful.
I have a lot of allergies and they catered for my needs no problem.
If I'm in the area again, I know where I'll be going for a meal!
Stunning views of the harbour as well.
Could not reccomend this cafe more!
I will be telling everyone I know to check it out if they're ever in the area!

18/06/2025: Chanced upon this lovely Coffee House in Killibegs. What a great find. Food was wonderful, both my husband and I had the seafood chowder yum yum. Staff were lovely. Service was very good. A friendly and happy place.

Tara Hotel

04/06/2025: A superb dining room where you can sit near the windows and enjoy a view of the fishing port. The staff was very pleasant and efficient, as is often the case in Ireland.
As for what I ate there, it was simply delicious! Monkfish and shrimp in a sort of gratin, absolutely delicious, for a very, very reasonable price. A truly wonderful place 🤗.

It's under renovation at present.
Bar and restaurant is amazing .
Pier Bar is quaint. with a good pint of guinness.
Breakfast was lovely with great offerings .
I will be back.

18/05/2025: Can’t believe this fish and chip shop in the largest harbour town in ireland didn’t have any fish left. Unbelievable. Needless to say I left and ordered nothing.
11/05/2025: Service was good, fish was lovely and fresh but chips frozen chips a big letdown also no mushy peas usually served with fish and chips
Could be better if freshly cut chips were served and ladies toilet door lock broken too

23/04/2025: Nice decor, passable food, subpar service. Doesn't add up to justify the hefty price tag. Thinks it’s more than it is. Disappointing experience overall.
04/04/2025: Passing through Killybegs one evening, we called in to Tara Hotel restaurant for an evening meal. The staff were excellent , the premises were recently revamped to a high standard. The food was excellent with large portions and we would certainly recommend this venue.
