13/10/2025: Your shack was one of the most highly recommended spots in Killybegs when we were planning our Donegal trip and it definitely lived up to the hype! Our first visit after a walk at Slieve League was fantastic. Fresh, hot and affordable seafood, enjoyed with the kids and the lovely bay breeze. Then we showed up with our parents and again and again you were always at the same level. Hope you will keep going and do your best homework during these days and open up with new spot even better and more exciting.
10/10/2025: Ordered 2x seafood boxes. Very good food, but could improve their way of cooking the chips. Chips were hard after a couple of minutes of receiving the food.

Boathouse Restaurant

05/11/2025: Anderson Boathouse is very small restaurant with overpriced food. The owner is very rude and arrogant with a very bad attitude. The night that we went to the Boathouse it was way overcrowded with tables so close together you was practically touching each other. The noise was so loud the night we went there it was like being at a pub with a football match. It was so bad I had to leave. Anderson Boathouse was the worst experience that I have ever had and we will never return. My advise is stay away from this restaurant.

24/10/2025: Visit Marina Cafe today, great service, staff were super friendly and efficient. Food was fabulous we had the Chicken Goujons which came with chips and a beautiful salad. Highly recommend this cafe, you must stop if your in Killybegs. Keep up the great work, I will definately be returning, Thank you

23/09/2025: Great for the price. Location can’t get much better! Lady working the front desk was kind.
16/09/2025: Spent 3 days at this Inn and love it. They even put a fridge and microwave in the room for us. The staff and owners couldn't do enough for you. And the Trans night is a must

07/11/2025: Loved it. Parked outside the door, big rooms, amazing staff, location is literally the middle of town, facing the water, good food at the restaurant and TWO good pubs inside. From the desk to the bar crew to the restaurant all the staff were A+. 10/10
06/11/2025: Had dinner in the Tara lastnight with family and it’s the best food we’ve ever had there. Excellent service as well as usual. Looking forward to retuning at Christmas already!

17/09/2025: A great place for fresh seafood with a few gluten-free options. Jealous of my sister’s fish taco but the crab and avocado sandwich on gluten free bread was great. The unexpected find of a bit of cling film in my sandwich was quickly rectified by their gracious staff. Accidents happen. Highly recommend.

20/08/2025: I was overall totally impressed by the service and food. Ordered a Guinness, spring rolls, fried squid ring, and chefs sizzling chicken. The kiddo ordered their steak. It was all delicious and filling.

23/04/2025: Nice decor, passable food, subpar service. Doesn't add up to justify the hefty price tag. Thinks it’s more than it is. Disappointing experience overall.
04/04/2025: Passing through Killybegs one evening, we called in to Tara Hotel restaurant for an evening meal. The staff were excellent , the premises were recently revamped to a high standard. The food was excellent with large portions and we would certainly recommend this venue.
