The best restaurants in Dublin

03/04/2024: Can’t overstate how good my evening in La Maison was. Staff amazing, efficient and friendly. Food might be the best I’ve ever had in Dublin. I had the French onion soup and the rack of lamb, both stellar. For dessert the crème brûlée lived up to the hype. Will definitely be back.

01/04/2024: I work in a cafe so I understand when people can have an off day and I always give people a the benefit of the doubt, when I first tried fable it was with my dad, Alise the owner was behind the till and the service and everything was PERFECT! I had a great first time and recommended fable to everyone! Since then I have been hooked on your buns, I love them! But the staff (except from the wonderful Alise) are really unfriendly. I have been to fable 10+ times now, purely for the buns. The staff, don’t really condone small talk are very judgey as if they are better than their customers? It’s a pity because I love the baked goods but the staff are the downfall :/ once or twice with hostile customer service is excusable but EVERYTIME??? Something needs to change. I love fable but I don’t think fable loves me :(

01/04/2024: Coffee was a typical Italian espresso that I really enjoyed. The pastries were store bought and quite underwhelming. The café has a nice vibe but it was totally destroyed by the uninterested waiter that did not clean the tables, messed up the order and had an overall grumpy vibe.

02/04/2024: Excellent service. The food was very tasty from starter to dessert. Great atmosphere we were celebrating a birthday.

02/03/2024: Looks good but not impressed with food. Ordered steak, they didn't ask how I wanted it cooked, I said medium-well. IT cam as medium rare (exactly the same as my friend who ordered it medium rare). I told them mine was supposed to be medium well. Waiter came back saying the cook told him that was my steak.. a but of arrogance I though and something you might expect on pub grub rather than on a "fancy" restaurant..

02/04/2024: Best coffee around and fantastic staff. Excellent selection of pastries and cakes. Very popular for breakfast and lunches. Great value

17/02/2024: The Mediterranean pastries are so good. Had the spinach and cheese one and it was crunchy and flaky on the outside, super hot and with excellent flavours on the inside. Coffee was strong and good. The man serving was a delight. Perfect way to start a busy day.

26/03/2024: Very good dishes, served very quickly but excessive prices. Quality service but servers too present for me (water service, table cleaning, asking if everything is going well...). Please note, “still water” = paid bottled water, obviously this is not specified. Beautiful decoration and nice atmosphere but roadworks in the street spoiled the tranquility of the meal a little.

02/04/2024: The most expensive cake and coffee I've ever had 4 x cakes (2 brownies and 2 carrot cake) and 4 x coffees came to €55!! The sign on the front door said 'coffee & cake €10'. Too expensive for what it was. Shame because the restaurant is a lovely little place.

01/03/2024: Very nice and cosy place. We got the brunch with scramble egg, chili, bacon and a homemade sauges. The taste was "i want to come back for more", the service is smiling, happy and warm.
