Dublin
21/12/2025: So I came here for my wedding anniversary, thought I should try some new restaurants, my expectations were quite low given I come from Mumbai and I like spicy food and how food is catered towards Irish population it tends to be sweet. But to my surprise it exceeded my expectations, taste is super good. I don’t drop reviews like this unless it really taste good. I also got to taste a dish which not on menu and it also taste amazing. Also staff is very polite and understanding. I ordered a dish where it tasted sweet and I asked them to switch it to other dish which as spicy up to Indian standards provided I had asked before order to be spicy.
To sum up things, I would highly recommend to come here and try once’s, while ordering and if you want ask the staff to suggest you spicy dish
Note I had ordered Non-veg dish.
P.S. I had came second time and this time I had ordered veg thali and it was also amazing with jeera rice and I would recommend jeera rice.
18/12/2025: It was our first time here and it was excellent.

Veda
Dublin
04/02/2026: Amazing food and choice available. I had the prawn mango chilli and it was outstanding, a blend of flavours really good.
22/01/2026: A small, tranquil space that only fits a few guests — and it’s fully booked most days for good reason! The staff are warm, and the food is delicious from start to finish. I highly recommend the Dahi ka Puchka, Mango Prawn Curry, and Achari Baingan. I’ll definitely be back soon!
P.S. they don't have baby changing Station if you are going with a young child.

Diwali
Dublin
07/02/2026: Trust me when I say the taste of food is as similar as in India, the atmosphere and hospitality specially the manager Ganesh, is equally unmatched!
We ordered chicken biryani, tandoori and lassi and the taste was mind blowing. Many Indian restaurants around here but being an Indian, I know the difference in tastes in different ones.
Worth going there every other month at least once!
02/02/2026: I highly recommend this restaurant; the food was delicious and the staff were lovely, they really touched my heart.
Thank you 🙏🏻

Delhi Rasoi
Dublin
29/11/2025: The food was decent, we ordered the Malai Kofta, Channa Saag, and Garlic Chicken Tikka, all of which were quite tasty, with the Channa Saag being exceptionally good. Unfortunately, the service really detracted from the experience, the waiter seemed grumpy and ignorant, leaving us feeling unwelcomed.
04/11/2025: The only restaurant in all of Dublin that is worth the price, we always go back when we want to eat very well and at a reasonable price.

Masala
Dublin
12/02/2026: Absolutely the best Indian TAKEAWAY Fresh ingredients. Perfect flavour. True Indian and also great for butter chicken lovers like me . Tried and tested over 5 years. The portions of popadoms are huge and come with dips. It’s the same price as anywhere but the quality across the menu is superb. I’ve travelled a long way home for this treat!! The food is SO DESERVING of the 5 stars!!!
Also the delivery chap is always very friendly and quick. Food piping hot .
19/01/2026: Good portions , generous with their meat , amazing flavours

Spice of India
Dublin
30/01/2026: We recently ordered food for collection from this place, and despite the name Spice of India, the food was the complete opposite of what you’d expect. While the prices are reasonable, the food had no real Indian flavour at all—just the colour of turmeric and an overwhelming sweetness. It honestly felt more like “Sweet of India.”
There was no depth, no spice, no soul to the food. It seems heavily toned down and customised for people who think they’re tasting authentic Indian food, but aren’t. We cook far better Indian food at home using proper spices and flavours. Overall, a huge letdown and a waste of both time and money. There are many better places in town if you’re looking for genuine Indian cuisine.
04/01/2026: Had a good experience. Raj’s service was nice, and the food was really good.

Doolally
Dublin
14/02/2026: Disappointing to the core! Went in for Valentine's lunch today and felt trapped by the set menu. It was no where mentioned on the website that they will only be serving from a set menu on Valentine's. Highly expensive and low quality food. We found a hair in a tandoori roti. Told the waiter about it but he seemed careless and told us he'll let the chef know. That's it. No apologies or any compensation!
If you are looking for AUTHENTIC Indian food, Doolally is NOT the place to go to. There are several other places in Dublin that offer way better food at a better price.
11/02/2026: Overall, Doolally does not live up to it's online hype. Although the prices are fairly reasonable for a densely populated area. The restaurant seems to operate in an ethically controversial manner by separating curries with essential components such as rice or naan. Instead labeling them as sides and charging extra. This is clearly not the standard as Michelin Indian Restaurants in Dublin include the aforementioned essentials.
Food: although the option is present to vary the spice level of your chosen dish. The differentiating ingredients seem to be the existence or nonexistence of raw chillies. The lamb is considerably fatty resulting in a chewy gamey experience.
Service: waiters are hard to identify and difficult to come across. The main server for our table rolled his eyes with dissatisfaction when we took some time to clarify how many sides we wished to add on. The plates came cold and fingerprinted. It also took three attempts to receive hot water. However, Doolally does have competent, welcoming waiters, this particular waiter covered the shortfall of his colleague without any dismay.
Atmosphere: the lighting makes it difficult to see the menu and the open space makes conversations difficult. However, having sight of the kitchen was pleasant.

09/10/2025: Owner was very kind and his son was very nice to look at
They have a bunk bed inside if you wish to sleep

Shanai
Dublin
09/01/2026: Been coming here for 8+ years and the food quality has gone downhill in a major way. The curries lack flavour and more importantly meat. The butter chicken came with 6 shrievelled chicken pieces and the peshwari naan isn’t filled with sugar anymore, a little is meagrely sprinkled on top. In particular, the korma resembled more of a vegetable soup as opposed to a mild nutty curry, very annoying. Cutting corners while simultaneously increasing prices by €3 per main menu item isn’t smart. Thoroughly disappointed will have to search elsewhere for an authentic Indian smh
03/12/2025: Lovely plates, good place to have a dinner.

India Gate

23/02/2026: Ordered for pick up and arrived 20 minutes early. The food was already bagged which meant it was all cold already and it was freezing by the time I got home. But the staff were lovely
22/01/2026: Got the chicken biryani delivered. It was cold and very overpowered flavour of star aniseed. The chicken was good quality though.

25/07/2025: Sag aloo is amazing. Peshwari naan is great but much sweeter than it usually is, so depends on your preference. Dal tarka is a bit spicy for me but the flavour is really nice.

Delhi Darbar
Dublin
22/02/2026: This is a lovely restaurant, which these days are rare as I find alot of restaurants are more interested in doing takeaways and not creating a nice dining experience. Delhi Darbar Lucan is a restaurant with a great atmosphere, great food and very attentive waiting staff. They also do amazing cocktails. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
13/02/2026: Dal makhani stood out but rest of the dishes were okay-ish
