01/11/2025: I'm so happy I found this wonderful place! We ordered butter chicken, prawn biryani, and onion bhaji, and it was absolutely delicious; the chicken literally melted in your mouth. I'd especially like to mention the service: the friendly waiter came by several times to refill our water and ask how our food was. It wasn't intrusive, but rather pleasant, like home. This is now my favorite Indian restaurant in the city 😍

22/06/2025: It has been a while since we’ve eaten in Katmandu in Dalkey and after eating there recently I have to say it was absolutely lovely,the jhinga prawns,onion bhaji and masala including all the sides were delicious. The staff are so friendly and efficient. We can’t wait to return soon.

22/10/2025: I contacted Kerala Kitchen in Baggot St in order to place a group order for our office to celebrate Diwali. From the first email to delivery, Simrat looked after us so well! Great communication and excellent customer service. The food was incredibly tasty, arrived at the agreed time, packed so carefully with all our names on it - everything was perfect! Thank you to you Simrat and all the team at Kerala!

01/11/2025: As someone who suffers from anaphylaxis due to severe food allergies, the staff were unable to provide me with an allergens menu and told me that they “think” there could be x (allergen) in the food. Very disappointing as I seen really good reviews about Masala & I really wanted to give it a go.

23/09/2025: The service staff manager was a little rude, and not cooperative, kinda ruined our whole mood of the party of 10 people. The food though was good, especially the starters. Dahi papdi chaat and pav bhaji fondue are a must try. The food was, all in all, good.

22/09/2025: It’s well worth the walk from the city center, as both the food and service are truly outstanding. The only detail that could be improved is the choice of music, which doesn’t quite complement the ornate Indian-style interior.

31/08/2025: I ordered a takeaway from Veda on the evening of Saturday 2 August as I have done several times before. However I woke up twice later that night and was violently sick with food poisoning. I suspect the problem was the rice which was very dry when I received it and felt like it had been sitting around for a while. In any event I spent the next 2 days in bed which included missing a day off work. I emailed Veda on Sunday 3 August with no reply and then again on Tuesday 5 August - again no response. I called the restaurant on Friday 8 August and explained what had happened and was told I would receive a call back. In the absence of a call I phoned again on Wednesday 13 August and was again told I would be contacted. Finally I called again on Saturday 16 Augusta and spoke to the manager who told me he had spoken to the owners. The manager did not apologise for my food poisoning and indeed suggested it may not have been caused by Veda. I explained this could not have been the case as Veda was the only meal I had eaten in the 12 hours before I became ill. I had requested a refund of my meal which cost circa €32 and was offered a voucher for €20. This appears to be the standard offer which I note from the previous review submitted by Eimear Kelly. Unfortunately I will not be returning to Veda - partially due to the horrific food poisoning but also due to the very poor customer service I received after I was ill.
