The best restaurantsof irish in Cork city council

12/06/2025: After kissing the Blarney Stone, my family and I worked up quite the appetite. Luckily the Muskerry Arms Bar was only down the street. Parking can be a bit tight since it's near a tourist attraction, and the traffic is always busy, so be aware. I was a little worried the food would be on the more bland side as I had experienced in other restaurants, but the food was absolutely delicious! It had all the right flavors and tasted like good home cooking. The beef stew was SO good and would be perfect for a cold, rainy day. The mashed potatoes were so creamy and salted to perfection. It was only made better by the stellar service. They were attentative, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of. Whether you're making a stop here after visiting Blarney Castle or looking for a good local restaurant to try, you must stop by Muskerry Arms Bar! You won't regret it.

16/06/2025: Hayfield Manor was a step up in luxury. The staff, amenities, food and everything else was well worth every penny. I would 100% recommend anyone e who is visiting Cork to stay at the Manor and be pampered. Thank you to everyone who made our stay exceptional.

04/06/2025: I have eaten in this place twice the first time was amazing i couldn't fault them. The cocktails were delicious in the winter and the tasting menu with the venison was amazing it was winter. The 2nd time was bad I cancelled 1 reservation at another restaurant to go to them and I regret it. The food wasn't as good it was the spring tasting menue. They changed the cocktails and they weren't as good as the ones I had in winter. The food was just meh and some of it was not nice. So I don't know if it is just that tasting menu or not

19/05/2025: Overall poor experience. Service is appalling for a fine dining. The ambiance is null, looks like you are in a commercial unit with a bar in the middle. The food was ok, but the menu tasting lacks direction in terms of flavours and continuity. Desserts were mediocre. It seems a want to be fine dining bistro that misses class and refinement.

07/05/2025: Just visited this place for the first time after living in the area for a while already. Absolutely loved the place. Just dropped here for a quick lunch on my son's 18th birthday. Service was really lovely, people went far & beyond to make us feel welcome, food was spectacular and I left the place even happier than I came in. Definitely will come again.

03/05/2025: Tuvimos una comida fabulosa, pero lo que lo empañó fue Beverly. Muy buena comida. El servicio era bueno. Tuvimos 3 platos de comida con bebidas que estábamos acabando desierto cuando Beverly el anfitrión vino y dijo que teníamos 10 minutos para levantarse de la mesa la mesa está reservada. No nos dimos cuenta ya que teníamos nuestros cafés pedidos sabiendo que estaríamos terminados en aproximadamente 10 mente de todos modos. Ella regresó en menos de los 5 minutos que necesitamos para desalojar la mesa dijimos que terminaremos nuestros cafés y nos iremos luego dijo que estábamos 2 horas allí y hay un límite de 2 horas en la mesa. Dijimos que teníamos una comida de 3 platos con bebidas y nunca oímos que había un límite de 2 horas y no había señales. Ella estaba dando a otros empleados acerca de nuestra mesa y que no nos íbamos de la mesa. Íbamos a irnos en breve. Sentimos que era muy grosera y poco después de la conversación dejó caer nuestro cheque a la mesa. Había mesas a nuestro alrededor libres y no vimos qué prisa había. Fue una pena dejar esta opinión, ya que la comida y el servicio era bueno. Nuestra factura era de más de 150 €, sentimos que no merecíamos esto.

17/06/2025: Fabulous place to have a peaceful and great, great breakfast. All was just wonderful and the food was delicious and the portion was much more than expected. Eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, friend potatoes, bread and coffee...what else would you need? Truly a magnificent place to have the best breakfast in Cork, Ireland ❤️🇮🇪

07/06/2025: Ordered poached eggs, all 3 eggs hard boiled. Hollandaise sauce was awful and too much. 1* my husband enjoyed his full Irish except for the again, overcooked eggs - 2*

22/05/2025: One of the best restaurants in Cork! It's extremely affordable for the quality of the food. Don't hesitate to try the mussels; the portion is very large and the quality is excellent. The outdoor tables are heated, which is appreciated.

21/05/2025: The good — Steak was amazing! Just plain, didn’t need the sides. The steam veggies were so good! The bad — Server started strong and was on top of everything, then when it can time for the tab, waited over 30 minutes. Food is subjective. I wasn’t a fan of the greasy fries, chewy fries. Maybe a bad batch that sat out too long? I would recommend this restaurant.

12/05/2025: Buzzy, Excellent, relaxed dinnerinformal atmosphere in a pleasingly restored Victorian building, food was really excellent, could have ordered any number of dishes on the menu, seafood chowder was especially good, service was efficient and friendly, price was fair for the quality.

24/05/2025: Had a retirement evening tonight at this truly fabulous restaurant!! What a superb meal,the food ,the service,the staff, Richard the manager and his staff were absolutely fantastic!!! Love the menu here,so fresh and delicious,great portions too,thanks again,will be back!!!

15/05/2025: We went here for our anniversary dinner, it was delicious we had a great experience. The cocktails were next level exquisite, i was driving and they accommodated my no alcohol request perfectly. All the cocktails are made to request as I was able to order any of the cocktails as mocktails. I ordered the pornstar martini and they even served me a shot of lemonade! My partner enjoyed normal cocktails and reported they were amazing. For dinner I ordered the sundries tomato cannelloni which wasn’t my favourite but still nice. My partner ordered the salmon which was cooked perfectly. We ordered a side of mashed potatoes which were creamy and delicious. Desert was equally delicious and the staff surprised us with a candle for our anniversary. Overall it was well worth the price.

28/05/2025: we had afternoon tea here,tge setting and vista was amazing,unfortunately,service wasnt,the afternoon tea was brought out,asked the waitress about 1 topping,she didnt know and said she would be back,last we saw of her.while the food in general was nice,there was way way too much on the plates,silly!!!!we didnt get asked did we want a tea top up?????overall,woukdnt reccommend
