02/08/2026: Had dinner here last night. The food was lovely and the service was really good as well. We had the salmon and chicken and everyone enjoyed their meal. Very chilled atmosphere. Really enjoyed it.

23/05/2026: Second time here — this time for lunch — and it definitely didn’t disappoint. From the welcome to the service and all the way through to the bill, everything was spot on. Had a really great time again and we’ll definitely be back. Plus, the food is amazing!

04/07/2026: What has happened to the Long Valley sandwich? this used to be great experience, Today however, I spent 14 Euros and 40 cents on two chicken salad sandwiches which were composed of dry tastless bread, dried up chicken - no. mayo which had been requested - no seasoning , or dressing They were utterly tasteless. I only ate 1/4 . Is it just me or is 14 euros too much for very poor food? 1 star but only because it provided calories if you were starving.

04/07/2026: As a proud Corkman who lives only 10 minutes away, I’m almost embarrassed to admit that today was my first time eating in the Long Valley. I’d tried a few times before, but it was always packed—which says a lot about the place. I’m delighted I finally made it in. The food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the staff were friendly, welcoming and professional. To top it all off, the bill was incredibly reasonable for the quality and amount of food. It’s easy to see why this place has such a great reputation. A proper Cork institution that’s well worth a visit. I’ll definitely be back—those sandwiches have more than earned their reputation as some of the best in Cork.

15/08/2026: Took my partner out on a date to the glass curtain which she was raving about for the past 2 years. So I went in with a very positive mindset. We got drinks to start and the rosé was very tasty. For starters I got the squid dish was very tasty and the foamy sauce was great. My partner got the stuffed cod and the portion size was no bigger than my index finger for 18 euro I felt it was very tight serving size. For the main in which they only do sharing platters we got the monkfish. At the cost of 85 euro and a side of fried potatoes for 6 euro. The monk fish was bland there was char marks on the fish but no real char flavour. The most flavourful item in the main course was the roast tomato’s and I will put my hands up saying the roast tomato’s were great. An overall ranking would be fine. But for a good 144 euro there are far better and tastier restaurants

14/08/2026: Absolutely wonderful experience at Glass Curtain in Cork. The food was delectable, the atmosphere was grand and beautifully welcoming, and the staff were exceptional - warm, attentive and genuinely thoughtful. The Dover sole was a particular highlight - beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. And the level of care from the team really stood out: my partner’s mum had forgotten her glasses at home, and they even had reader glasses available for her. Such a small gesture, but it made such a difference and showed just how attentive they are to their guests. Beautiful food, fantastic atmosphere and outstanding service. A thoroughly memorable evening - highly recommended! ✨

26/07/2026: Lovely brunch with great service. Delicious menu at very reasonable price. Eggs Benedict with salmon was great.

21/07/2026: There were six of us for dinner. Four of us had their specialty spit-roast pork which was fabulous. One of us had the Pithivier and said it deserved a round of applause. All of us really enjoyed the meal and our server, Ash, was knowledgeable, friendly and helpfully adapted the menu to accommodate a dairy allergy. Staff were all friendly and professional. This place is popular. We went at 7.30 on a Monday evening and there were no free tables therfore woukd recommend booking ahead for dinner.

02/07/2026: My husband, 7 month old, my in-laws, and I recently stayed at Hayfield Manor for a short break of 2 nights. From the moment we arrived we were treated so well. The hotel made sure we had everything we needed for the baby, from the crib to a mini fridge in the room to storing our cooler ice packs downstairs. They also treated our baby as a guest rather than an inconvenience, which we appreciated so much, especially as first time parents traveling for the first time with our infant. We loved the rooms, the amenities, the grounds and gorgeous gardens, and notably: the food in the restaurant, which was incredible. We will surely be back.

16/06/2026: We love Hayfield Manor, everything was beautiful but the best part was the amazing service and blue bikes!

23/07/2026: Great experience! The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Food was delicious. We were early in the evening heading to an event, so the early dinner menu (3 courses)worked great for us. It was a scorcher and bit hot but nothing they could do about that. Overall highly recommend!! Fish, chicken and duck all wonderful. Desserts too!

18/05/2026: Not too far from Cork city centre stands a beautiful hotel on the banks of the river. Rooms are of a good size, clean and beds are very comfortable. Staff are lovely, professional and pleasant, and they can only bested by the food served. Everything from the goats cheese tartlet through to the incredible beef mains was nothing short of exceptional. To top it all off, a trip to the spa, including the outdoor heated (really warm) swimming pool. Overall, a really pleasant experience, and worth every moment.

09/05/2026: Booked the Kingsley for our son's communion and I can't fault anything.. the staff were amazing and my son even got a communion card and dessert from the Kingsley for his big day.. will absolutely be booking with the Kingsley again. Fantastic day

15/06/2026: Warm hospitality, fantastic food, great value, and a memorable local experience. We had a fantastic experience at Muskerry Arms Bar. The staff were incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in, creating the kind of relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that makes a pub feel truly local. The food was absolutely delicious — especially the fish chowder and the Irish Stew, which was the chef’s special and genuinely outstanding. My wife had the burger that was loaded with bacon, cheese and excellent quality beef. All dishes were full of flavour, hearty, and exactly what you hope for in a traditional Irish pub meal. Prices were very reasonable too, especially considering the quality. Our B&B host, Olwen, highly recommended the place, and she was absolutely right. It was also great to meet the owner and hear the history of the family behind the bar — a lovely personal touch that added even more character to the visit. Overall, Muskerry Arms Bar delivered excellent food, warm service, and a memorable sense of place. A spot well worth visiting.

10/06/2026: Our most disappointing meal during our two-week trip across Ireland. One of us ordered the soup of the day with a sandwich, while the rest had the beef stew with vegetables. Unfortunately, the food lacked the care and attention you hope for when dining out. The stew was underwhelming in flavor, and it was served with what appeared to be plain packaged white bread rather than something fresh or toasted. The soup & sandwich was good but nothing to write home about. The service was friendly and attentive, but we left disappointed with the overall quality of the food. Based on our experience, we would recommend eating elsewhere!

05/07/2026: Hotel is lovely, the room was really nice & every employee we encountered during our stay was very friendly. Sarah on reception was very helpful in helping us get checked in & showing us around the hotel too, overall a great stay.

01/06/2026: Think closer to a 4 star than a 5 star. Breakfast on the first morning was only ok. Full irish was over cooked and bacon was not good. Service very slow. Reception woke us up at 10.40 looking for a credit card number. It could have waited till morning as we were staying 2 nights but when I suggested this they didn't see to agree. Being honest tho the foor in Amber bar was very good and staff were lovely.

20/05/2026: This was our first time in Cork and when we asked a local where to get a great meal, they said Cornerstore Cork. And we were not disappointed. The food, service, and atmosphere was wonderful. A very nice place to dine with friends, family, or your significant other. Bon appetit!

25/07/2026: Now, I know everyone is bloody friendly in this beautiful country but these lot were absolutely glorious. Great food great drinks, lush little patio area with a waterfall thingy. Shout out to Luke!
