09/09/2026: We had an amazing time. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The bar was really clean and very comfortable.

25/08/2026: Lots of screens for the football, sat at the bar, service was friendly, pints were brilliant, nice and spacious place with a good view of all the TVs. Left to my own devices watching the early kick-off. Not as cosy as your traditional pubs, quite well polished, still got that sort of sports bar / pub / walkabout vibe to it, food looked good too. Could easily whittle away an afternoon here.

23/05/2026: Second time here — this time for lunch — and it definitely didn’t disappoint. From the welcome to the service and all the way through to the bill, everything was spot on. Had a really great time again and we’ll definitely be back. Plus, the food is amazing!

25/08/2026: Finally got to get a sandwich here. Finally got a little corner table inside. On previous visits I've been relegated to standing outside or standing in the way of others, but you can see why it's popular. Everyone who worked here had a good vibe about them, the taplist is vast and caters for all, and the food was coming out like a well oiled machine - efficient, hearty, consistent. I'd come back and stand, happily. But I'm glad I got to get in early and see it step into gear as Sunday got off the ground. Will remain one of my favourites in Cork.

26/08/2026: A wonderful discovery in Cork! We had a marvelous time at SpitJack for our daughter's birthday, and everything came together to make this occasion truly special. The welcome was particularly warm: a smiling, lovely team who were above all very attentive, paying real attention to our needs. We truly appreciated their kindness and the little touches that make all the difference on a birthday. And the food was delicious! Everything was wonderful, generous, and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and lively, while still being very pleasant for a family meal. A big thank you to the entire SpitJack team for their hospitality and for helping to make our daughter's birthday even more special. We highly recommend this place if you're ever in Cork!

02/07/2026: My husband, 7 month old, my in-laws, and I recently stayed at Hayfield Manor for a short break of 2 nights. From the moment we arrived we were treated so well. The hotel made sure we had everything we needed for the baby, from the crib to a mini fridge in the room to storing our cooler ice packs downstairs. They also treated our baby as a guest rather than an inconvenience, which we appreciated so much, especially as first time parents traveling for the first time with our infant. We loved the rooms, the amenities, the grounds and gorgeous gardens, and notably: the food in the restaurant, which was incredible. We will surely be back.

16/06/2026: We love Hayfield Manor, everything was beautiful but the best part was the amazing service and blue bikes!

23/08/2026: We love eating out but this experience was the best we have had ever, the inside is just stunning ,staff so friendly but it was the food was so fantastic. Its the attention to detail ,the food on the plate was 10 /10 highly recommend x

07/09/2026: We had the best meal at the Glass Curtain for our anniversary! We were sat right in front of the kitchen and watched the staff meticulously prepare every plate. The tasting menu was so interesting and delicious (we’re still thinking of the smoked tomato days later!) and we loved the wine pairing! We were able to sample wines we wouldn’t have otherwise chosen. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling to Cork.

03/09/2026: Just back from an amazing experience at The Glass Curtain, seated at the bar with some American visitors and, together, we learned so much about the menu, local producers and ingredients -food and drinks! The food was absolutely spectacular and the recommended wine pairings were excellent. Tom is an absolute gem behind the bar, so friendly and knowledgeable, whatever he is being paid they need to double it! Definitely coming back when I’m in Cork next, best meal I’ve had in ages and great fun with it.

14/08/2026: We stayed for 2 nights in the one of the lodges on the resort ( with a family of 8, 6 adults and 2 kids) there is plenty to do on the resort walks, golf, spa swimming pool, and Fota wildlife park itself. Would highly recommend it if you are thinking about it. Close by there is the Elm tree restaurant Brambley lodge cafe and Cobh is only a short 10 minute drive where you have plenty more activities to do, pleasant stay and if we are doing this type of holiday again we will be back

28/07/2026: Beautiful hotel with spacious and comfortable rooms. It is a little outside of Cork, which makes for a relaxing and quiet stay. We enjoyed our time here, and the team at the hotel were welcoming.

15/06/2026: Warm hospitality, fantastic food, great value, and a memorable local experience. We had a fantastic experience at Muskerry Arms Bar. The staff were incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in, creating the kind of relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that makes a pub feel truly local. The food was absolutely delicious — especially the fish chowder and the Irish Stew, which was the chef’s special and genuinely outstanding. My wife had the burger that was loaded with bacon, cheese and excellent quality beef. All dishes were full of flavour, hearty, and exactly what you hope for in a traditional Irish pub meal. Prices were very reasonable too, especially considering the quality. Our B&B host, Olwen, highly recommended the place, and she was absolutely right. It was also great to meet the owner and hear the history of the family behind the bar — a lovely personal touch that added even more character to the visit. Overall, Muskerry Arms Bar delivered excellent food, warm service, and a memorable sense of place. A spot well worth visiting.

10/06/2026: Our most disappointing meal during our two-week trip across Ireland. One of us ordered the soup of the day with a sandwich, while the rest had the beef stew with vegetables. Unfortunately, the food lacked the care and attention you hope for when dining out. The stew was underwhelming in flavor, and it was served with what appeared to be plain packaged white bread rather than something fresh or toasted. The soup & sandwich was good but nothing to write home about. The service was friendly and attentive, but we left disappointed with the overall quality of the food. Based on our experience, we would recommend eating elsewhere!

24/05/2026: Got treated with zero respect at all by the polish female waiter in springboard ,very ignorant to me and my partner, wouldn’t give any time to have a look at the menu and food quality was very very average 😂Didn’t even get offered any water but every other table did which we were completely judge by our age because we looked young would never be recommended to anybody who has money for nearly a 5 star hotel it’s a joke the way we got treated. If you are looking for a nice and respectful place to eat then don’t choose this location 😅

18/05/2026: Not too far from Cork city centre stands a beautiful hotel on the banks of the river. Rooms are of a good size, clean and beds are very comfortable. Staff are lovely, professional and pleasant, and they can only bested by the food served. Everything from the goats cheese tartlet through to the incredible beef mains was nothing short of exceptional. To top it all off, a trip to the spa, including the outdoor heated (really warm) swimming pool. Overall, a really pleasant experience, and worth every moment.

24/08/2026: The food and drinks were very nice, the decor was good too. The service was acceptable, it was just enough. Most of the time it felt like a real task to get the staff to do anything, this is mainly pointed to the wait staff as the drinks and food came out quickly and were well made

20/08/2026: I only stayed for one night, but the room was excellent. The restaurant and café had a really lively atmosphere, and the service was top-notch.

11/09/2026: We visited early on a Thursday evening. The food was fine, but my friend and I were surrounded by really loud, raucous large groups. It was so noisy we couldn't hold a conversation or hear the waitress. We left after one course.

06/09/2026: Booked dinner for 7 for a 60th birthday celebration. Every starter, main course served was 5 stars. The staff went above and beyond. We brought in a cake and balloons for table and they were so accommodating. Start to finish, good service, good atmosphere and at a reasonable price.
