09/03/2026: Always a treat.. Beautiful food🫶

27/02/2026: Myself and my girlfriend spent the night for her birthday and were served by Liam and had a spectacular night. We had the tasting menu, throughout the whole night Liam was amazing at informing us of the coming dishes and wine pairings, making the meal an engaging experience alongside a fulfilling meal. Between himself and Tom on the bar, we were wined, dinner, and entertained. We had a delicious experience and will be back again.

08/02/2026: Popped in for a drink and sandwich after hearing great reviews , we were refused service stating we “were after too many” absolutely sober On a Sunday afternoon with shopping bags, all because a man ordered a gin & tonic and not a pint because apparently a sober man never orders a gin as stated by the bar man. Horrified by the way we were treated in our own city. Won’t be returning.

15/03/2026: Absolutely amazing hospitality, grounds and rooms. Drove up and they took care of everything else, offered us tasting of a complimentary locally sourced mead at check in while bringing our entire families luggage from. Everyone was friendly with a smile, kind comment and offers of recommendations if asked for. The bar had a wide and brilliant selection of Irish whiskeys in particular with the rest of their drinks. I can't recommend this hotel any higher, just amazing all around.

11/03/2026: Excellent! I was not expecting such a lovely place! Beautiful room and breakfast buffet! We only stayed one night and would have loved to stay longer.

03/03/2026: Stopped for lunch and a drink. Great, friendly service. Seafood Chowder was lovely.

03/03/2026: We booked for two people on a Saturday - the restaurant was really busy but the service was quick. There are a number os standard pub grub options so should please most people - prices are reasonable

23/03/2026: Great ambience. The food was amazing!

20/03/2026: We really liked this spot. Went with our 3 small kids, no hassle with getting a table although space was limited with a buggy. Food was lovely, service slow after we finished main course, so we ended up skipping dessert. Overall nice night.

15/03/2026: I can give my opinion on the pub and the food. We were very lucky because we went on Mother's Day without a reservation and a table just happened to become available. We enjoyed our meal, although it took a long time to be served dessert. My turkey "ham" was tasty, but a bit dry. The rest of our party ordered lasagna or beef stew and were very satisfied. The house special dessert that day was cheesecake and it was spectacular! The atmosphere was lively, with families, people watching football, etc.

14/03/2026: Service was good but the food was not nice, very little portion and for a crazy price. 15 euros for a bit of tomato soup and a toasted sandwich that was not even nice and very small. No fries or anything else. A rip off.

25/02/2026: Been away for a few months. Popped into the elm tree for Sunday lunch. Just as good as all ways, still good value, food still great except the roast potatoes, just too crispy.

18/02/2026: Beautiful surroundings, delicious cocktails and a very nice barmen with a beard who makes cocktails.

24/03/2026: A HEARTY breakfast joint, you won't leave with any room left in your tummy. We had the Brekkie Bap and Divorced Eggs and recommend both, though the Divorced Eggs took the cake for most original and delicious. A bright and lively spot for breakfast or lunch, we'd happily return.

08/03/2026: It's been too long to be reminded how outstanding this restaurant is. Fine dining without the BS. I try hard to not be the guy who photographs the food, but how could I not show off the attached creations. They are works of art. 👏👏👏 to the unseen (but hugely appreciated)kitchen staff. A nice friendly welcome by maitre d'. Extremely comfortable tables and a spectacular menu including a "proper" vegan menu. Staff are very nice, apart from one cold member - they've been there a while and is a tad serious, a bit intimidating. If they lightened up, everyone would feel better. Such a fantastic treat.

21/03/2026: Wonderful Restaurant Exceptional service by Mr. Álvaro, fantastic SUGGESTIONS. BRILLIANT professionalism, sensitivity in making the right choices. Thank you to Mr. Álvaro. French onion soup, Creamy burrata, Confit duck leg, Angus cheek based on Burgundy sauce, Roast beef rib. Everything was wonderful.

20/03/2026: My daughter Ava played music there with her friend a number of times. She is a very professional accomplished musician. She got great feedback from the customers who enjoyed the musc. The Kingsley used her and never laid her or her friend for the music performance 's. This behaviour cannot and should not be tolerated by this establishment. This is iny opinion is exploitation. These girls are now dissalussioned. This behaviour is totally unacceptable. John Hallinan Ava's Dad.

11/03/2026: Fabulous hotel! The outdoor heated pool overlooking the River Lee was a highlight—so relaxing with a beautiful view. Highly recommended! ✨

08/03/2026: My family and I had an amazing experience at the spa in Fota Island Resort. From the facilities to the treatment itself, I cannot fault anything. Amazing, and we'll definitely be back.

27/02/2026: 2nd time to stay at foto and I have to say I really enjoyed both times the place is beautiful and the staff are all so friendly but I have to give a special mention to Jose in the Amber lounge he goes above and beyond for people he is such a lovely friendly man and very professional
