30/10/2024: Intimate busy restaurant with a cost atmosphere and tasty pastries

26/10/2024: Beautiful restaurant in a beautiful walkable town. Staff is friendly and attentive and food options are plentiful, even for children. The Pad Thai and Chicken Curry with rice were phenomenal. Lots of seating available on 2 floors. The fish in the Fish & Chips is a good size and prepared as a flat filet in, maybe, a panko coating as opposed to battered. Wasn’t what I expected so sharing it here.

17/09/2024: Just finished a delicious yummy breakfast in An Chístín Beag. The staff were so lovely (especially lady with dark hair - she mentioned she had a son). She was so kind with our nearly 2 yr old Hubby had the full Irish which he loved, myself and little one had pancakes which were amazing. Portion is 3 decent size but for child they can do 1, 2 or 3 depending on child's appetite. The banana and Nutella ones went down well with our little one. If in Skibbereen or close by def worth a visit - they also do lunches too

20/10/2024: WOW. Full disclosure, I am a mid-budget traveller. I don’t stay in hostels but I am not a luxury hotel person. I lucked out for a one-night stay in the Lake House Cosy room- basically the lowest budget room on offer at this grand estate- and was fully blown away. The Manor House is stunning and gorgeous, and the staff was so attentive and friendly while my partner and I gawked at the crackling fire, full bar, and luxurious common area surroundings. When we drove up to our own accomodations at the Lake House, the room was incredible. Claw foot tub with brass fixtures! The other guests were friendly too. The view in the morning of the fog coming off the lake was to die for. The breakfast was the best meal I’ve had in Ireland. The grounds, even in frostbitten early fall, are gorgeous. Truly a five star experience.

26/06/2024: Very tasty fish and chips! No finished goods, everything fresh. Other pubs or restaurants can get involved. Only the ambience is not nice, even for a snack bar. The owner is very friendly!

29/10/2024: Been here many times. Absolutely fantastic. Everything brilliant. Music there on two of the nights we stayed, and enjoyed very much. A lovely big carpark attached to this hotel and the location is great. Staff couldn't do enough for you. A big thank you to Anne Marie and her colleagues. Had a wonderful time. Highly recommended.

19/10/2024: Not staying in the hotel but in the village with friends. The West Cork Hotel was chosen as a place to eat lunch on two occasions. Fabulous food. Fantastic staff. All very friendly and polite. The fish cakes outstanding.
