15/02/2025: Called in to Farren's on the recommendation of a local lady we met walking at Malin Head. Did not disappoint - the food was amazing (can seriously recommend the "best of both" or the seafood chowder!). A seriously good pint of Guinness was delivered in no time, and the largest coffee and hot chocolate order they'd ever had set us all on the road again. Staff were really nice, the bar was cosy and we could have sat in beside that log burner all day. A really great find and will definitely be back!
15/01/2025: Great wee pub, very cosy with the log burner on and friendly people & staff. We were allowed to bring our dog in too which was class!!

25/01/2025: We were here for lunch today, the food was delicious😋, we left our plates empty. Chowder was the most delicious I have ever eaten in my life! When we were leaving the restaurant we talked for a while with the owner and chef,very nice and friendly people 😊. Service very nice and we got our food very quickly. I recommend with a clear conscience. 🫡
07/01/2025: Decided to head to Nancy's Barn after a recommendation on their Chowder! It did not disappoint. They were booked out, took our number and rang when a table was available!
The seafood was out of this world. I've eaten fresh crab, prawns and squid all over Ireland, Nancy's beat them all hands down!
Get the Seafood Platter, it'll not disappoint!
We were in the area on holiday, but this would be worth the 3 hour drive from home!

If this restaurant was in Dublin I don’t doubt it would have a Michelin star. Great night as always

13/12/2024: Brilliant. Called in today for a cheeky take away. Chicken goujons and chips. Their chips have a tasty seasoning and the portion was massive. Fionnuala and co are brilliant and so friendly. Drop in for main meal or dessert. They have specials that change all the time. Check out their instagram for videos and photos which are a real representation of what you will get. Never had a poor meal in here.

15/11/2024: Cosy upstairs restaurant serving delicious food. Flavours and menu choice are exceptional. Rabbit is a real winner. Seamus strikes the right balance as an informed, efficient and pleasant front of house operator (ask about the sea shell salt cellars). Deserves all accolades. Will definitely be back.

We are very happy that we found this place when we were on our way along the coast. We didn't expect this kind of international kitchen in County Donegal. This restaurant is definitely worth a stop. Thanks for the warm welcome and a great evening!

12/02/2025: 8 of us ate here on Monday evening. Food was lovely. Staff attentive but so very very cold. Had to eat with coats on Maybe because it was a Monday night and not very busy but only seemed to be a small heater above door coming in and we were seated away from it Had an early bird menu on and food was reasonably priced Just a pity about the cold and I won’t book a Monday night again

23/11/2024: The reason it got 4 stars is the premise was cold on arrival at 6pm ( it doesn’t open at 17:30 as stated on trip adviser )
I had the Chicken supreme and better half had the fish and chips. Have to say very tasty.
We were served by Anastasia who was very polite, moving us to a warmer position etc.
I recommend Nivana, but leave to a bit later if weather is cold
