11/06/2025: I took my father here this evening - to the Terrace - and had a great time. We had tried to book a window seat, but upon arrival there were none available. The wonderful front of house said he would do everything to help us. I had told him it was an early father's day dinner for my dad. We were seated in a non window seat initially, but within 15 minutes, due to a no show, he moved us to a 4-top, but made it for just the two of us. My dad had the Dublin Bay Prawn Scampi, and loved every second of it (his appetite can be off, so it was brilliant to see!). I ordered the burger (without pickles), but it arrived with pickles which put me off a little. I removed them from the plate and one of the hostesses asked if everything was OK (truly I didn't really enjoy the burger..too much sauce and the pickle residue was still lingering on the burger) and I just told her it's lovely but I asked for no pickles (I didn't want to ask for a fresh order bc it seemed ridiculous!). She came back later in the meal to say the desserts were going to be on the house - I tried to protest and say it's not a problem, but when the bill came, they weren't there. As a result I left a very generous tip for the servers. The desserts were delicious. Dad had the sticky toffee pudding and I had the meringue roulade (very sweet, but I had room after not finishing my burger). All in all the service was hit and miss (we were neglected a bit at the beginning in favour of the bigger, more demanding tables, and I had asked for a sauce top up which came after we had finished - but I understand they were under pressure), but the managers really stepped up and made it a special night. My dad, most importantly, has been waxing lyrical about it since. They also had a good selection of non-alcoholic wines for him, which was really refreshing. I would definitely go back again - and order the scampi!! Top top marks to the fronts of house...you made it a lovely evening.

20/07/2025: Came for tea and scones. It took almost an hour for it to come out. They only brought 2 of the three teapots we ordered. When we asked for the third they told us they put two tea bags in one of the tea pots. That just makes strong tea, not more tea. Finally they brought the other tea pot upon our insistence. The Earl Grey was just gross, it tasted like soap. We asked for honey and milk with the tea, they informed us that they don't have any honey at all. We had to ask twice for the milk. The scones were dense and they brought whipped cream instead of clotted cream. For an establishment that calls itself a tea house it was anything but. Very disappointed in all respects. The service was slow and bad at that. The tea and food were subpar. Save your time, money, and frustration by going elsewhere.

04/07/2025: If I could give no stars I would. A friend of mine had serious and invasive surgery on their bowel. They had a check up at the hospital but between appointments had a 2 hour wait. So they went to get credit (garage) and passing your premises had to use the loo and it was very urgent because of the surgery. They ran in explaining very quickly the situation and ran the bathroom. When they came out 3 bar staff were waiting and processed to call them a junkie, scumbag, don't want your type here. Obviously after such a serious operation they got very sick. Lost a lot of weight and was very very pale looking. But your staff and manger just assumed they were a junkie and they are not! I wrote on TripAdvisor but apparently you can remove bad comments from this site. Your an absolute disgrace! And I have contacted a solicitor so expect a letter soon. I also see on your bad reviews there all from patients from Beaumont. Maybe don't buy a pub near a hospital. Your staff are horrible horrible people. I hope none of your family go through what this person did and then to be verbally abused. Don't know how you can sleep at night. Expect a letter from a solicitor soon

08/04/2025: Great atmosphere. Julie mcCabe sings here on Monday nights 7 -10pm and she is absolutely brilliant. Everyone is welcome to sing and Julie gives great support. Always a great night. Spin the wheel is great fun too. 😀

24/06/2025: Un pequeño hallazgo fantástico cerca de nuestro Air BnB en Drumcondra. Decidimos que íbamos a probar un par de Brunch Places que encontramos que eran recomendados en la zona, pero este era tan bueno, que terminamos yendo allí en ambos días. Gran personal y muy eficiente y conocedor del menú y las recomendaciones. La comida era preciosa, muy fresca y el café era muy bueno también helado y caliente. Mi pareja también tomó uno de los zumos de naranja frescos en la segunda visita, que fue maravilloso. Durante las visitas tuvimos los huevos y las patatas, el aguacate aplastado, el rollo de desayuno brioche y los huevos benedict! No podría culpar a nada de eso y comería aquí un par de veces a la semana si viviera en Dublín! El tiempo también era muy bueno mientras estábamos de visita por lo que decimos fuera, pero el interior estaba muy limpio y agradable. Siempre tiene un asiento y un servicio brillante. Si estás en el área de Dublín y te apetece un gran Brunch... ¡no mires más allá de esta pequeña joya!

02/06/2025: Pasé de camino a Croke Park para un poco de comida con mi hijo celíaco, el personal muy servicial considerando que estaba muy ocupado. La comida era deliciosa, el café excelente. Muy recomendable

17/06/2025: This place was suggested to us by one of the locals, I have never been happier with atmosphere, service and food of an establishment. Tonight was my friend and I's second night dining at The Maple Tree. When our cheese platter came out it was like we had found our sole purpose in life. I highly recommend it. *UPDATE* It has been 7 years since my friend and I went to the Maple Tree and had the cheese platter. To this day we still talk about it regularly.

Внутри уютно: кожаные диванчики, белые скатерти, тихая и романтичная атмосфера — хорошо для пар или небольших компаний. Ресторан на Railway Road 17–18 в Далки, кухня французская с ирландскими морепродуктами. Меню только а-ля карт, цены высокие — блюда по 30–45 евро. Алкоголь подают, бронь возможна. Детям и шумным компаниям — не подойдёт. Я взяла луковый суп (пробовала впервые) — обычный, без вкусового «вау». Муж заказал чаудер — жидкий, не сливочный. На горячее у меня был рыбный пирог — пресный, без специй. Муж ел рыбу на гриле — норм, но не восторг. Лобстера, ради которого пришли — не было в меню, что расстроило. Обслуживание отличное — персонал вежливый и внимательный. Атмосфера уютная, интерьер классический, стильный. Плюсы: – Красивый интерьер – Отличный сервис – Тихо и спокойно – Необычный вход со звонком Минусы: – Дорого и маленькие порции – Меню скромное, еда не удивила – Лобстера не оказалось. Сюда стоит прийти ради атмосферы и сервиса, но не ради кухни. Красиво, спокойно, но вкус не оправдал цену.

17/07/2025: There was a young blonde women working at the NARS desk she was extremely unprofessional and rude clearly didn’t want to do her job, as we were looking at different foundations and asked to get a tester…She seemed very offended almost instantly very weird interaction: Will stick to brown Thomas from now.

16/07/2025: I ordered cocktail glasses Koziol assuming they are reL glass, they sent plastic. I paid 37euro for plastic glasses. This feels like a fraud!! I feel like robbed. Horrible experience, I am shocked Arnotts did such a thing!!!

21/07/2025: The Worst Bar in Dublin – Dicey’s. Stay Away at All Costs! I used to think this place was cheap, lively, and a good spot to relax and socialize. But after what happened to my friend, I realized the ugly truth: this bar is not only terribly managed, it’s a chaotic and dangerous nightmare. I will never return — and I strongly advise others not to go either. Last night, my friend’s bag was stolen inside the bar. We immediately asked the staff for help, but they responded with complete indifference and told us to “go talk to security.” What happened next was even worse — the security guards were aggressive and refused to listen. They showed no empathy and violently kicked my friend out, even though she had just been robbed and was clearly in distress. The coldness and irresponsibility were absolutely shocking. This bar has endless problems and no bottom line: Rude and aggressive security: Completely unprofessional. They don’t protect customers — instead, they act like gangsters and threaten to throw people out. Staff shift the blame: When something goes wrong, everyone pushes responsibility onto someone else. No one helps. Filthy and chaotic environment: Sticky floors, disgusting toilets, trash everywhere. The place smells like a sewer. Thieves operate freely: Bag thefts, stolen drinks, missing phones — all common here. Security cameras are useless, and no one will investigate. Dangerously overcrowded: You can barely move inside. The air is suffocating. One small argument could easily turn into a fight. Fake atmosphere: Loud music and flashy lights create the illusion of fun, but the reality is stressful, unsafe, and miserable. At Dicey’s, you’re not treated like a guest — you’re just a walking wallet. If something bad happens, no one will help you, and the bouncers might even throw you out. You won’t even be treated with basic human respect. My honest advice: Stay far away from Dicey’s. Go to another bar. Dublin has many clean, safe, and well-managed bars where customers are actually respected. Dicey’s may look exciting from the outside, but behind the lights and noise is pure chaos and disrespect. Don’t make the same mistake we did. Don’t risk your belongings, your safety, or your dignity.

21/07/2025: I am a tourist visiting Dublin, and I was shocked by the racism I experienced at Dicey’s. The security staff treated me with clear prejudice based on my appearance. While other guests were allowed in without any problems, I was stopped, questioned, and spoken to with an aggressive and disrespectful attitude — for no reason at all. When I calmly asked why I was being treated differently, the security guard ignored me and even tried to force me to leave. I felt humiliated and deeply unwelcome — not just by one person, but by the environment that allowed this behavior. As a visitor who came to Dublin with an open heart, this was heartbreaking. I never expected to experience such racism in a public venue. It completely ruined my impression of this bar. Dicey’s needs to take responsibility, educate their staff, and ensure that ALL guests — local or international — are treated equally and with basic human respect. Until then, I strongly recommend tourists and travelers to avoid this place. You deserve better.
