09/09/2024: No longer part of the Galway Bay chain. It’s a real shame as it kicked off the craft beer scene many moons ago. Now another soulless bar in a city that’s slowly loosing its character ☹️

13/08/2024: Should be A Far Better Pub if Owners Applied Themselves and Hired Staff Who Could Actually Run A Pub but This is Sadly Not The Case I’m Afraid!!! Food is Ok and Beer is Fantastic but Everything Else Falls Short!!!! For A Pub in A Very Affluent Area it’s Poor Poor Poor!!!!

19/11/2024: Been here twice now for lunch and it's fantastic. Great food and atmosphere. It's pretty slow service outside of busy hours but it's a great place to chat and relax so that's a bonus in my book.

30/10/2024: Not always perfect but they do actual GF fish and chips which is great.
13/10/2024: Had the nicest fresh cod and chips and the missus had a scampi box. Set us up nicely from the food as we were going to a match in Anne's Park.
Bit pricey but I'll over look that due to how good it was only thing that was missing was bread and butter for chip samos.
Would recommend to all.
We would defo come back again when in the area.

29/09/2024: Very lovely experience. We were a group of ten and they received us in a very pleasant and worm way. The overall service was excellent, the food quality quite high. Everyone was satisfied. That dinner was the best food experience in Dublin.

Last night, we had a marvelous dinner at Fallon and Byrne with a group of 13. Not only was the service fantastic and friendly, they bent over backwards to accommodate our special requests and timing and really went the extra mile.
The food was delicious and I would absolutely come here again. Highly recommended whether on a romantic date for two or with a small group of friends like us.

28/10/2024: Honestly the worst food iv had in a very long time. The price would make you think it's going to be nice (charging 19€ for a carvery 🤣🙄🤢), but it turns out they are just money hungry gougers.
Meat was like shoe leather. Potatoes where like lumps of coal. 8euro for 2 cordials and 1 orange juice!!!
The manager is an absolute loser! Shouting at kids as soon as he seen that the dad left the table. Cowardly little man.
Will never step foot in this place ever again.
27/10/2024: Just don’t eat here, the carvery is terrible and very small.

Butter wasn't real Butter and Fish was bland - Absolutely devastated as we'd been looking forward to eating here for quite sometime.
19/08/2024: I haven't been here for years and I was a bit apprehensive when I arrived as the decor is quite old fashioned, though some might call it olde world charm. The early bird menu is what tempted us in, 33€ for three courses, a great selection of food that sounded really good, and thankfully, it was really good, fantastic in fact. Starters were all delicious, as were the mains, steak(9€supplement) scampi (5€supplement) chicken, and seabream with mussels. I had the seabream and it was delicious, i can't recommend it enough. We all had the lemon tart meringue which was divine! Service was great, a really nice young man who was friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back very soon.

02/09/2024: Went here on way to a concert, there were 5 of us. The bar was busy but not packed so was surprised the food and service were so bad. Food took a long time and when it did finally arrive one order was missing and the rest of the order was cold apart from the fries. Took a lot of asking and muliple dishes returned to get the order right and I can't say the food was good. Some of the waiting staff were surly, dismissive and we were met with a lot of eye rolling. One staff member did try to sort things and took 10% off our bill but would not recommend this bar for food on a busy day.

04/08/2024: FYI this place is closed. They took my booking and deposit and never informed me they were closing. It was for my sister's hens. Thank god for the hairy lemon across the road fitting all 12 of us in!

14/11/2024: “I had one of the most stressful experiences picking up my order here. The manager is incredibly unprepared, more so than the entire team. He constantly disrupts the staff, making it impossible for them to work efficiently. My order was ready, but he kept switching items between orders, and I had to wait over 15 minutes just to get my food. It’s clear that this lack of organization affects the entire team.”
