20/02/2025: Little loud for a restaurant, may have been a private party in the back half though.

17/02/2025: We were here for Valentines dinner as a double date. Roberta and the team were fantastic, food was lovely and the atmosphere was great with some tasteful love-themed decorations, fresh flowers and live music. Loved it!

20/03/2025: I was very underwhelmed at my experience here. 10 reserved seats for a set dinner menu, some of the food was over cooked and one plate came out 30 minutes after the other 9. In the end we all just finished up 40 minutes after we were supposed to(after reserving a table in the cocktail lounge which we couldn't get to. I'm sure it's nice for a max of 4 people but any more than that I presume is a gamble. Overcooked duck. Overcooked pork) I don't know how) Very chewy steak. I will be in no rush to go back here. Shame the other restaurant closed, it was in my opinion, managed a lot better.

15/02/2025: Early in the day this bar caught my attention so came back and although early afternoon it was quirky and can imagine it being vibey later at night especially with the hidden treasures out back. Was gassing with a few locals about the horse racing and enjoyed my time there 🍻👌

08/03/2025: service incredibly rude. we were aggressively accused of smoking marijuana, without any basis. We were guests of the hotel and came to drink beer. We were not apologized to, it was awful.

04/02/2025: Got a turkey roast dinner yesterday, 19 euro for it, I asked for a pint of miwadi orange, charged me 2 euro for it! Dinner seemed OK at the time even though the gravy tasted so strange. I've had to take the day off work today, been puking my ring up all day. Won't be visiting again.

16/02/2025: I recently booked a table at Roly's Bistro through OpenTable and received a confirmation. I called the restaurant to amend the time of my booking, and during the call, I had to repeat and spell my name six times while explaining the change. After speaking to two people, I was informed that my booking wasn't there. A new booking was made for the requested time, and all seemed fine. Upon arriving at the restaurant at the specified date and time, I was greeted by a rude concierge who almost dressed me down with his eyes. He asked me to repeat my name four times and claimed he couldn't see my reservation, though it was clearly visible to me. He finally found my reservation and very rudely called a staff member to show me to my table. The staff seemed very unhappy, and it was rare to see a staff member with a smile on their face. The food was served in a rush, and my main course of battered hake and chips appeared reheated. The batter was soggy, the chips were lukewarm, and the mushy peas seemed microwaved. The only enjoyable part was the pint of Heineken. I doubt I'll return to Roly's Bistro.

09/02/2025: Great experience once again at Rolys, family lunch for 10 and everyone was very happy with the food and service. We were seated downstairs as requested but were able to have the restaurant menu which we all enjoyed . Has to be the best value for money in Dublin. Food & wine excellent and service was friendly & professional . We look Forward to our next visit. Well done to all the team at Rolys

08/03/2025: Food was great! We had the buttermilk chicken burger and the Turkish eggs, both very tasty. Loads of interesting options on the menu, will definitely be back to try more.

06/03/2025: Beautifully presented delicious food. The pudding was crispy on the outside and melt in mouth texture inside !! Super experience will definitely go there again to checkout more menu options. We ordered a veggie and a full irish with bit of changes and it was perfectly delivered!

01/03/2025: My wife and I had a fabulous meal last night in the Guineas Pig .I had the chowder and the duck and my wife had the french onion soup and ribeye steak.Absolutely gorgeous. Kevin who told us he has been working there 27 years was excellent.Very attentive and extremely friendly. Jerome the handsome French chef/owner was a pleasure to meet and knows his stuff. Our first visit but not our last Thank you lads

16/02/2025: The decor was French bistro and charming. The staff were warm and welcoming but service was very slow. Some might say it was unhurried - which is always welcome - but it veered uncomfortably far into the too long wait. The menu has the classic bistro basics. The wine list adequate. My starter of French onion soup was a little inferior - I have had far better. My main, steak frites, was also a little disappointing. Overall, nothing catastrophic, and the staff were friendly. I have been before and will probably return - sentimental reasons - but it has and could be just a tad better in the kitchen area.

Just had the girl who answers the phone be so rude and thick with me because she took down my mothers order wrong, I called back when the order arrived and she instantly got defensive and thick with me saying “no you didn’t order two I took that order myself” I am shocked with the treatment I got from her I demanded a manager because she was so rude and I could hear her talking absolute shite about me to the manager next to the phone! so I told the manager I just heard her talking shite and that it’s actually shocking the staff they have working for them and they could look back over my mothers orders and see I have ordered the same meal for the last 3-4 orders like she’s something else the cheek! STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT THE STAFF TALKING CRAP ABOUT YOU BECAUSE THEIR WRONG

02/02/2025: Got the smallest cod ever last week here. Very disappointing as I'm a regular. Even the chips were very small for the price. San Marino in Castleknock is way better and they still shovel an extra scoop of chips into your bag before you leave. Anyhoo it's very obvious that there's less for more these days. Disappointing.

19/01/2025: Romayos have done an excellent job standardising their restaurants/takeaways. The seating area here is small, suited to order, eat and go. The food is still very good for a chipper. Their specials are good too. Unsure if they do smoked cod. Their kebabs are very good, the salad is very fresh. Their burgers are, if anything almost too beefy. The service is fast, I wouldn't say that the staff are particularly friendly but it all works out. The curry sauce is good but the amount they give you has reduced significantly over the years. The positions of chips are decent too. This is a good chipper, never had a bad meal from here.

29/01/2025: No es genial. El servicio era decente, pero la comida era mala. Tengo una hamburguesa de pollo con papas fritas, la hamburguesa de pollo parecía que estaba justo en la freidora de grasa, era completamente de gran tamaño y en su mayoría migas de pan, sin salsa completamente seca. Las patatas fritas olían y sabían a aceite vegetal. Muy caro y decepcionante

05/08/2024: Mi amigo y yo salimos de un largo viaje a la ciudad y ambos necesitábamos usar el baño en el 108. Cuando salimos a pedir nuestras bebidas, el camarero dijo "no se puede usar el baño al mismo tiempo, no es una buena mirada", ambos pensamos inicialmente que estaba bromeando, pero para nuestra sorpresa en realidad era serio. Nunca en mi vida había experimentado algo así, y cuando preguntamos por qué era un problema nos dijeron que podíamos encontrar otro pub. Horrible camarero horrible y nunca volverá de nuevo.
