The best restaurantsof irish in Dublin

21/02/2026: We spontaneously decided to eat at The Dog House Blue's Tea Room, and unfortunately, the visit was very disappointing overall. The restaurant was practically empty except for one other table, yet we still had to wait over an hour for our food. Realistically, we could have cooked at home in that time. This was especially baffling because there was absolutely no stress or activity. The service was unfortunately very poor. There was only one server on duty, which wouldn't normally be a problem—but even with the restaurant empty, tables weren't cleared, and we weren't asked once if we needed anything or if everything was alright. In addition, the server dropped a cup; the broken pieces lay there for over an hour. This not only seemed unprofessional but also simply unhygienic. The food itself was mostly okay—not bad, but certainly nothing special. However, for the prices charged, the quality was outrageous. The price-performance ratio is completely off. At these prices, one expects significantly more than average food and minimal service. In the end, we paid €130 for four people. The price was okay, but the food simply wasn't worth it. The ambiance is indeed very cute and cozy, and it makes a good first impression. Unfortunately, a nice interior isn't enough if the food and service can't keep up. It can't be a fine-dining restaurant like this. Overall, it seems like a place with potential, but currently, it doesn't live up to its own prices, either in terms of organization or quality. We unfortunately wouldn't be coming back.

31/01/2026: The food is terrible. We got the seafood chowder, and there is barely any seafood inside, and it was microwaved cold in some parts, warm in others. We also got a pizza and a burger. The burger was dry and not great at all! The inside of the place is dirty. Will never go there again, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

11/01/2026: We had lunch here one Sunday when out for a walk. The food was lovely with the exception of the fries, which could have been crispier. The service was mostly good and the place was busy with a good atmosphere. On the negative side the coffee and hot chocolate arrived too early and were cold by the time our food arrived. The rustic apple pie we shared at the end was tasty but arrived cold and on its own even though they had said they would heat it up and serve it with cream. It was rectified for us quickly enough.

27/01/2026: The atmosphere is very peaceful and beautiful. It’s a cocktail bar with dozens of options. They used to serve food but they do not anymore. We were surprised upon arrival since we could see the menu through our reservation. We understood the situation and the staff were very lovely. The drinks were delicious.

22/01/2026: Incredibly fun cocktail experience. You need to get upstairs for the bespoke cocktails, the main level is also nice but standard drinks (with a cozy vibe). No food served other than complimentary (and delicious) popcorn.

11/01/2026: The owner/manager/older grey haired man with a moustache is extremely aggressive and volatile. Would never step foot in it again.

07/01/2026: Love this pub! Had the pleasure of meeting some quality people here. The bar staff were amazing & so welcoming right from the start. I will forever be a customer on all of my adventures to Dublin. Thank you for a rememberable time. Cheers to all the Macs 🍻 here in London & in the US ☺️

05/11/2025: I went there last Sunday. Everything would have been perfect, but the manager was really disappointing. He was very aggressive and spoke rudely. Honestly, he seemed to be 100% under the influence of alcohol. An older man, with completely inappropriate behavior for a public place.

30/10/2025: Well-kept place, very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent Guinness. Highly recommended.

12/02/2026: Nice and quiet place, the food is really good and portions are huge. Waitresses are very thoughtful and smiling.

23/11/2025: Lovely restaurant and bar area but really bad food. Completely empty on what should be a busy Sunday afternoon. Tasteless desserts, fatty beef roast. A pity as venue looks great and staff lovely. Fitzpatricks is patchy to say the least - from some angles hotel looks incredible, from others it is semi-derelict, covered in moss and damp.

01/11/2025: Nice food and coffee but the service and clearing of tables leaves a lot to be desired. So many occupied tables with clearly empty plates and cups were not removed. I even saw come customers clear a table themselves before sitting down. Also, the waitress delivered a coffee to my friend and spilled it all over the saucer. Didn't even apologise nor offer to clear it up. Very disappointing.

01/08/2025: Assolutamente da provare. Si trova nel pieno di Temple Bar ma, a differenza di altri locali, qui non c'è il frastuono della musica live. Cibi squisiti e personale simpatico e molto veloce. Noi abbiamo provato la beef stuve, super buona. Se andate nelle serate di grande afflusso dovete avere pazienza, c'è da fare un pò di fila, ma ne vale assolutamente la pena.

30/07/2025: Nachdem wir 30 Min. auf der Strasse auf unseren reservierten Tisch gewartet haben, war das Erlebte dann wirklich nicht sehr gemütlich. Chaotische Zustände im Restaurant. Bierfässer werden im Gastraum und den Toiletten gelagert. Der Burger war trocken, unterstes Level. Ambiente, ist nicht vorhanden eingepfercht wie Tiere. Das Ganze ist einfach eine gut organisierte Abzocke.

27/12/2025: In the Pub on Saturday afternoon the 27th of December and the place was freezing. There was no heating at all. The other customers were also complaining that the pub was too cold. Especially with the flu going around this is disgraceful, not a cosy pub at all. No wonder the place is going down hill
