The best restaurantsof irish in Dublin

08/11/2025: This is a lovely cafe for brunch. The menu is nice and the cafe does have gluten free bread so if you're a coeliac or just gluten intolerant they will have options for you. The service was good and the server was knowledgeable when I asked about gluten free options. Some cushions for the back of the long bench seats inside would be a great idea as they are very uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time, but otherwise a very nice place to have coffee or brunch etc.

06/11/2025: Haven't been here for a while. Not quite the place I remembered. Less artisan and more pedestrian. The coffee was watery and weak. The pastries looked like they had been picked up in the local petrol station. There was nothing unique about the visit that would encourage me back. Pity because I love the concept of a little gem of an eatery nestled into a beautiful urban setting. Not the case here.

16/11/2025: So rude, out with our parents for their anniversary to be told we weren't allowed in as it was all 'kids' inside. The proceeded to leave a lot of more in who were younger than my parents. For reference we are in our late 20's.

17/11/2025: Bouncers told me upon arrival it was 23+ me and my mate showed ID were 23 and 25 years old, so they then decided to tell us the place was at full capacity but then allowed people in after us

10/01/2026: If I could put 0 star I will ! Such a rude staff members they took any good out of the products. The manager was very unprofessional, I had to wait at least 5 minutes before she looked up from her phone. Absolutely terrible experience

04/01/2026: We had a great evening overall at this cocktail bar. The upstairs bar was excellent: amazing cocktails, great atmosphere, and perfect service. Everything was top quality and we truly enjoyed our time there. Unfortunately, the experience ended on a disappointing note. At 1:00 AM, a security guard aggressively insisted that we leave, even though Google Maps lists the bar’s closing time as 2:30 AM. He even tried to take my girlfriend’s glass while it was still half full, without asking if she had finished. When I calmly asked why we were being asked to leave so early, he questioned where I was from and threatened to kick me out without any valid explanation, simply for asking a question. It’s a shame, as the quality of the cocktails and the service do not match this kind of unprofessional behavior.

01/08/2025: Assolutamente da provare. Si trova nel pieno di Temple Bar ma, a differenza di altri locali, qui non c'è il frastuono della musica live. Cibi squisiti e personale simpatico e molto veloce. Noi abbiamo provato la beef stuve, super buona. Se andate nelle serate di grande afflusso dovete avere pazienza, c'è da fare un pò di fila, ma ne vale assolutamente la pena.

30/07/2025: Nachdem wir 30 Min. auf der Strasse auf unseren reservierten Tisch gewartet haben, war das Erlebte dann wirklich nicht sehr gemütlich. Chaotische Zustände im Restaurant. Bierfässer werden im Gastraum und den Toiletten gelagert. Der Burger war trocken, unterstes Level. Ambiente, ist nicht vorhanden eingepfercht wie Tiere. Das Ganze ist einfach eine gut organisierte Abzocke.

02/07/2025: Visiting Dunlaoire and Dunphys looked like an authentic Irish pub. Unfortunately the welcome did not match. A young tall ginger slapped a sloppy, overflowing, unsettled Guinness on the counter and said that’ll be 6.80 and when I muttered, would you not let it settle he retorted, “do you want it or not”,I replied no and I don’t like your attitude (well I don’t like yours ether, he said !) and I left. (Wed July 2nd) Got a contrasting reception and a smashing pint of Guinness in The 2 Foxes.

27/06/2025: Came in for some drinks on our holiday with our 3 year old son says no buggies but they didn't mind us storing ours in the door way so long as it wasn't in the way. Great pub lovely old decor and great friendly staff. Had the Ambush Pale Ale was incredible with the glasses chilled in the fridge. 10/10 would get pissed here again.

05/11/2025: I went there last Sunday. Everything would have been perfect, but the manager was really disappointing. He was very aggressive and spoke rudely. Honestly, he seemed to be 100% under the influence of alcohol. An older man, with completely inappropriate behavior for a public place.

30/10/2025: Well-kept place, very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent Guinness. Highly recommended.

07/01/2026: First time in here today. Loved it. Steak sandwich was a thing of beauty. Will be back again.

31/12/2025: Have had great meals here, mediocre meals and sub-par meals. Service has always been top notch regardless of the quality of the food and whenever food has been bad the floor staff make up for it massively

01/11/2025: Nice food and coffee but the service and clearing of tables leaves a lot to be desired. So many occupied tables with clearly empty plates and cups were not removed. I even saw come customers clear a table themselves before sitting down. Also, the waitress delivered a coffee to my friend and spilled it all over the saucer. Didn't even apologise nor offer to clear it up. Very disappointing.

12/10/2025: Visited here with my partner and baby. He ordered Lasagna, the lasagna was stone cold in the middle with hard cheese on top. We had to return it to the kitchen and he felt stomach turned so didn’t request new food. I ordered fish and chips, the chips were nice but the fish was slimy and wet, I thought this was normal as it was hot right through. I felt so sick shortly after my food for the whole night. So disappointing…. We also waited 30 mins for a menu my partner had to go twice and ask, also left waiting 5 mins on knifes and forks. Awful food and service.

03/12/2025: It is the best restaurant ever!100% worth it the owner is the soundest guy out there and all the staff the best time ever!!!!

27/11/2025: We ordered here a few weeks ago and got a cheeseburger meal and a doner kebab meal. We ended up both incredibly sick from the food later that night. I wouldn't reccomend the food here at all.

23/11/2025: It's an out-of-this-world chipper. The quarter pounder with cheese was the best we've ever had, the chips and the garlic mushrooms were top too. Yet, the biggest surprise was the garlic sauce... At €3.80, it's pricey alright but worth every penny! It's nothing like the standard garlic sauce from any chipper. It just blew my mind. We'll definitely be back very soon.
