The best restaurantsof irish in Dublin

20/07/2025: Food. All I can say is wow. Probably the worst food I've had since the last time I visited the Goat. We had the pan fried hake and fish and chips @4pm. The hake was dry and over cooked. It must have been sitting for a while under the heat lamps. The rest of the dish was covered in souce. The fish and chips. Well now. Stodgy greesy gloopy batter. The chips in fairness tasted OK. DD was feeling sick after less than half of the fish. She managed a crumble after I finished her fish. The crumble was the best part of the meal. The crumble is not made on site. Go figure. All in all. It was a terrible meal and I would not recommend the Goat for food. There was no atmosphere but in fairness it was a Wed. So no marks lost for that. The service was ok and staff polite and engaging. I did eat all my hake and sauce plus half of DD's fish and chips. I was hungry 😋. I also didn't complain to staff about the terrible food. I figured I'd never go back. It was also IMHO a little on the expensive side. Anywho. The Goat you are dead to me!

14/07/2025: Great Atmosphere at The Goat Bar & Grill The Goat Bar & Grill is a fantastic spot with a lively atmosphere, enhanced by all the unique and charming decorations throughout the place. It has plenty of seating, which is great because it can get quite busy during peak times. When I visited, it was between lunch and dinner, so it was a bit quieter — perfect for a more relaxed experience. The staff were very welcoming and quick to help, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Definitely a great place to stop by, whether you’re looking for a meal or just a good time in a vibrant setting!

14/07/2025: I visited this pub yesterday with a couple of friends and I can only say how amazing it was. I wanted to try something different, and I ordered the Irish Stew for supper. It was delicious! Also, Jonathon, the gentleman attending to our table, was incredibly kind and helpful — always with a smile and attentive to every detail.

14/07/2025: We were looking for an evening of good Irish food and great Irish music! When we came in we were greeted by the waitress we should have then walked out! She was not happy and had nothing nice about her. We were seated and then the music started. Definitely not Irish. Granted it’s a Monday night and they do say music 7 days so our fault for not to asking about it being Irish. He had a nice deep voice but pitchy highs. The small serve of Irish stew was yummy but you know, when a salad has the first item as roasted butternut and the pieces are small than your little finger nail, it was not going to be good. Sorry not great. Lacked flavour and the limp old salad greens were gross. You win some you lose some I guess. Oh and when the musician put on his sunglasses, he started rocking it better. 🙄

13/07/2025: We came here to try the Bailyes Cheesecake, and although it was a very small portion for the price, it was very good. We also tried the Bailyes Coffee.

28/05/2024: Loved everything about this place on our final night in Dublin. The early evening menu is decent value and they have vegetarian dishes that are of a very high standard. My wife and I enjoyed all 3 courses and the creme brulee was the perfect end to the evening. If and when we return to Dublin, this works be top of my list of places to return to. Lovely pint of Guinness too.

26/05/2025: Down es un lugar con varias delicatesse y otros alimentos y bebidas de alta calidad. Arriba hay un restaurante, . con un menú agradable y personal amable. Excelente comida, bien presentado.

02/05/2025: All' inizio dubbiosi poiché il locale era semivuoto, siamo stati conquistati dalla cucina del Dining room. Il piatto di cozze e zucchine su vellutata di basilico era eccezionale. Non da meno le patate novelle arrosto, incredibilmente saporite. Anche i broccoletti grigliati con nocciole meritano una menzione speciale. Insomma. Bravi bravi e con ottimo servizio, rapido, cordiale e discreto.

30/06/2025: Food was lovely but service bordering on hostile, the man was middle aged and quite passive aggressive. Made for an uncomfortable experience and we won’t be returning. Would not recommend for anyone visiting Dublin and seeking “Irish hospitality”.

25/06/2025: Great neighborhood bar. Just had some morning drinks will come back for food everything looked great.

09/07/2025: €20 for a double vodka and Red Bull. €7.30 for a pint. One of those pubs in which pretty women are prioritised over men when waiting to order a pint, no matter how long they've been waiting. Obviously, it depends on the barman, but you get my point. Otherwise, it was good. The pints were good, the food was supposedly good (although I didn't get any), the toilets were clean, and the outdoor section is spacious.

01/08/2025: Assolutamente da provare. Si trova nel pieno di Temple Bar ma, a differenza di altri locali, qui non c'è il frastuono della musica live. Cibi squisiti e personale simpatico e molto veloce. Noi abbiamo provato la beef stuve, super buona. Se andate nelle serate di grande afflusso dovete avere pazienza, c'è da fare un pò di fila, ma ne vale assolutamente la pena.

30/07/2025: Nachdem wir 30 Min. auf der Strasse auf unseren reservierten Tisch gewartet haben, war das Erlebte dann wirklich nicht sehr gemütlich. Chaotische Zustände im Restaurant. Bierfässer werden im Gastraum und den Toiletten gelagert. Der Burger war trocken, unterstes Level. Ambiente, ist nicht vorhanden eingepfercht wie Tiere. Das Ganze ist einfach eine gut organisierte Abzocke.

14/07/2025: Nice venue for a pint in nice weather. Mix of outdoor seating and indoor normal bar with a few TVs to watch sports on.

20/07/2025: I go there on a sunday and i really enjoy it the staff are very friendly and theres extra space outside if the pub is busy floor is always nice and clean its kept very well i always enjoy my sunday visits

25/06/2025: I am a frequent visitor, myself and my family celebrate occasions and merely go out for a simple yet delicious steak on a Monday for around €20. The chicken and beef burgers are cooked beautifully and have an abundance of flavour. The staff is very accommodating and ensures the service is to the highest standard, which is pivotal in obtaining my consistency. The food is always presented with such care and attention, it reflects well on the chef who is providing clean, tasty and appetising meals each day and night. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and a pleasant atmosphere.

19/07/2025: Desayunamos aquí esta mañana a las 11:30 , fue el desayuno más pobre de la historia. Conseguimos salchichas bajo ollas cocidas como cartón. Los cortes más baratos de pudín, pedimos 3 rebanadas de pan blanco, 3 medias rebanadas llegaron con 2 trozos de mantequilla, cara de piedra del personal, todo parecía deprimido, 33 50 para 2 desayunos pobres, nunca más.

10/05/2025: Mi marido y yo nos alojamos en el Hilton de enfrente. Vinimos aquí todos los días de nuestro viaje. Las ofertas del bar eran tan amables y nos sirvieron de inmediato. Nos encantaron las alas, el pescado y el guiso Guinness. Fue un lugar muy acogedor para una bebida y comer!

17/04/2025: Visitado para la cena después de visitar la prisión, no estaba ocupado, pero el personal era amable. Pedido comida y bebidas, incluyendo un Guinness fresco. La comida en sí era abundante y de un buen tamaño. Dos tuberías principales, dos comidas para niños y 4 bebidas = 70€, lo que no está muy mal teniendo en cuenta la cantidad de comida recibida.

02/07/2025: Visiting Dunlaoire and Dunphys looked like an authentic Irish pub. Unfortunately the welcome did not match. A young tall ginger slapped a sloppy, overflowing, unsettled Guinness on the counter and said that’ll be 6.80 and when I muttered, would you not let it settle he retorted, “do you want it or not”,I replied no and I don’t like your attitude (well I don’t like yours ether, he said !) and I left. (Wed July 2nd) Got a contrasting reception and a smashing pint of Guinness in The 2 Foxes.

27/06/2025: Came in for some drinks on our holiday with our 3 year old son says no buggies but they didn't mind us storing ours in the door way so long as it wasn't in the way. Great pub lovely old decor and great friendly staff. Had the Ambush Pale Ale was incredible with the glasses chilled in the fridge. 10/10 would get pissed here again.

24/07/2025: A really nice place to eat and drink. Staff are friendly and helpful. I thought the food was a bit expensive but it was nice.
