06/04/2025: Nice atmosphere beside lake Was busy (weekend) , however service was perfect

30/03/2025: 20 mins wait to be served, grossly inefficient management of queue and coffee orders. Berry scone was absolutely fabulous as was the chocolate brownie. The rest of the food also looked divine. Plenty of staff but when I asked if milk was on the table, the guy said no that they were closing in 20 mins. Could they not clear the tables after closing?

30/03/2025: 2nd year enjoying Mother’s Day afternoon tea today and thoroughly enjoyed every bite! Highly recommend Skinny Batch - never disappoints. Always a treat any day of the week. Personal touches and brilliant service x

29/03/2025: You could feel the great atmosphere when you step into this place. Food was delicious and reasonably priced . Very fast service and courteous staff. Would highly recommend the breakfast

19/03/2025: Tonight’s dining experience was truly bizarre. When I entered the restaurant, I told the hostess that we had five people and requested a quiet corner. She led me to a round private room that could accommodate around seven or eight people. Shortly after, our group arrived, and we quickly placed our order. That’s when things started to get strange. Two different waiters came over at different times, asking us to change seats. When we asked why, the first one pointed at a TV on the wall and said they needed to repair the equipment. We asked if they could wait until we finished eating—after all, we would only be there for an hour. A while later, another waiter came and pointed at a different spot on the wall, saying they needed to do some repairs there. This baffled us even more, so we asked, “Shouldn’t maintenance work be done outside of business hours? Why must it be done during dinner service?” The strangest part was that they insisted on moving us after we had already been seated and placed our order. Then, someone who claimed to be the manager came over, pointed at the ceiling, and rudely told us that they needed to repair the roof, demanding that we move. Left with no choice, we relocated to another part of the restaurant. Throughout the entire process, no staff assisted us—we had to carry our drinks ourselves and find seats on our own. First of all, if they thought our group was too small for the room, they shouldn’t have seated us there in the first place. Secondly, what kind of restaurant does roof repairs during dinner hours? And finally, by the time we left, I noticed that the round room they had refused to let us use remained completely untouched—there was no sign of any repairs happening at all.

16/03/2025: Another place that really makes you happy that you choose this place once your belly is full!! Greeted with a smile when we arrived, and immediately assisted by our server when we sat down. The place was crazy with everyone watching the Cheltenham Festival and yet the food came out hot and amazing!

18/02/2025: Tuve una experiencia muy decepcionante. Mi pareja y yo habíamos reservado para una cena un sábado. Tuvimos un mal presentimiento cuando entramos y vimos cuántas mesas vacías había, especialmente teniendo en cuenta que era un fin de semana de rugby. Mientras que nuestro servidor brasileño era encantador, la comida era sosa y carecía de sabor y condimento. Dejamos la mayoría de nuestras comidas en el plato. El encantador servidor preguntó si todo estaba bien con la comida. Expresé que estaba muy decepcionado, considerando las excelentes críticas que habíamos leído en línea. El servidor nos informó que el chef envió sus disculpas desde la cocina. Nos persuadieron a quedarnos y tomar cafés y postre. El precio de los cafés se descontó de la factura. Pagamos nuestra factura, dimos propina a nuestro servidor encantador y nos fuimos. Basta decir que no volveremos. Hacia adelante, haré búsquedas más profundas de revisiones fuera de línea.

14/03/2025: just paid 14.50 today for smoked cod and chips and garlic sauce, I should have Kept my money, there was about 20 chips in bag and fish broke into pieces, always come here years, but last 4 times just been served crap , won’t be back, place has really gone downhill

29/03/2025: Tricky one this, upstairs bar had a problem with beers being warm and gassed. Staff were good at fixing the issues by sending me downstairs to get replacements. Downstairs pints were better but not as good as nearby pubs. The decor is great and upstairs is lovely and comfy. Toilets were clean and well maintained. Will visit again in future to update on drinks.

19/03/2025: The manager here was homophobic towards my girlfriend and me. We should’ve known the pub would be terrible when we found it almost empty on St. Patrick’s Day, but we found out the hard way. We bought two pints and kissed briefly, interrupted by the manager spewing homophobic commentary and asking us to go home or outside. Other patrons walked by us and asked us if we were okay, also shocked by his behaviour. My girlfriend then brought our untouched pints back to the bar and asked the bartender for a refund, citing his homophobia. The bartender immediately paid her back for the pints, and the two younger bar staff apologised to us as we left. Awful place, shocking management; definitely avoid this pub.

30/09/2024: The staff were the best part of our evening, Rosie in particular was extremely friendly and efficient but the kitchen let the floor staff down in that my Steak was cooked medium well not medium rare as requested, to be fair it was replaced and served as requested They did deduct a reasonable amount off the bill which I appreciated . Hopefully if we visit again it will be better

01/02/2025: Food had been sitting for some time then put in a blast oven to reheat. Rubber eggs, snappable bacon and black pudding like ice hockey pucks. Eat at your peril! Recommendations - walking straight past!

02/04/2025: The worst club in Dublin the manager is incompetent and racist ; I felt discriminated against They apologized and left an email that they never answered; I find that disrespectful.

30/03/2025: If I could give 0 stars then I would. Worst experience I've had in any cafe. I felt like I was on faulty towers. From forgotten orders to horrible food. A smashed wine class at my feet, only picked up when I pointed it out. Honestly even if everywhere else is full, keep walking passed this place.
