Ely Wine Bar
Dublin
06/07/2025: I had the fish & chips special, which was delicious, along with a glass of cava. The two went great together. Also tried a mango / passion fruit tart, which was amazing! The place is cozy and the service is great. Had a lovely time!
04/07/2025: I saw the summer special for fish and chips and a glass of cava for €26 and decided to try it. The service from when we got there was great. We placed our order and the food was out in under 10 minutes. 2 cods were on the plate but I’d say the star of the dish was the tartar sauce never had anything like it and the fish was super crispy. 10/10 would recommend and the cava pairing worked really well!

Alfies
Dublin
26/04/2026: Fun and lovely atmosphere, a hint of a happy queer vibe, tasty food, beautiful presentation, and very reasonable prices. Brandon, our handsome 🤪 server, was quick, efficient, warm, and very friendly. Highly recommended!
14/04/2026: Amazing place. Cannot fault anything about here. So nice to pay less thsn 20 -25 euro for a meal and 10 euro for a drink like everywhere else in the centre. Staff were so nice and chatty for a change compared to other bars and restaurants we have been in!!!
Food was excellent every dish we got from picks menu was so lovely and well prepared, drinks for €6 as well and lovely decor etc and service. Definitely be back and would recommend for anyone in Dublin to go to!!

05/10/2025: Had a lovely meal on Sunday. Staff are fantastic. Make sure to either book a table or get there before 1pm as it fills very quickly. That's the only quibble I would have.

Dylan Hotel
Dublin
03/06/2026: Great place to stay, not too grand or pretentious, more of a relaxed luxury. Great breakfast also. Would not mind a more knowledgeable staff
02/06/2026: Fabulous! We had our wedding here and it couldn't have gone better. Every single member of staff was exceptional from Laura who coordinated the event to the bar staff, reception, the cleaning staff who gave my little nephew cookies on the house and Pierre who gave my partner a shirt coz he forgot his 🤦🏼♀️ Just an overall lovely experience, we were made feel so special. Would highly recommend The Dylan for a wedding x

The Camden
Dublin
18/05/2026: Visited the Camden over the weekend with a group of friends and was very impressed. Very smart looking venue with an absolute monster of a screen showing sport. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful and the food on offer was of a good quality too.
A few of us ordered the "Big Platter" and its exactly that. We all really enjoyed it (although the mac n cheese was a bit stodgy).
Would 100% return next time im back over the water..
11/05/2026: Booked for their advertised Formula 1 screening. No commentary was played over the sound system. At a few points it was removed completely from the screens. I feel they shouldn’t advertise an event if they do not want to show it properly. Drinks and food were good.

The Woollen Mills
Dublin
26/05/2026: Great fish and chips, great view of the water and ha'penny bridge
26/05/2026: I can’t believe the waiter thought he could ‘sneak’ a service charge on the bill for a table of 2?! When we asked what it was for he just walked off?! So I went to the front to ask for a copy of the bill as the waiter didn’t return, sure the change was only .40 euros….. still?! AND the bill was missing, no where to be seen, had to re-print a new one. I just can’t!! 3.60 euros, in Canadian is almost $6?! Dirty!! I wish I could give this review a zero!!

Tolka House
Dublin
16/05/2026: Lucy and kitty made the first experience amazing experts in whiskey would highly
Recommend here without a doubt
07/05/2026: We popped in for dinner and a pint. The decor, vibe, ambiance, and feel do not match the food or service. I ordered the "pie of the day" (chicken and bacon with a side of mashed potatoes and roasted veg) and my husband the burger. At €20 a plate I was expecting something other than what appeared to be boiled and thickly cut chicken breast with a few bit of bacon in an overly salted cream sauce along with run of the mill mashed potatoes with small chunks of veg that were pan fried. It almost smacked of what you could get as a pre-made meal at Tesco. The burger was equally disappointing. Dry, overcooked (was never asked how it should be prepared), and the toppings were underwhelming. The chips that came with the burger were OK, but unremarkable and should have been cooked for at least another minute or two to crisp up the outside.
When I say the vibe didn't match the service, it boils down, quite a bit, to the service. The bartender would frequently mess with his hair showing his midriff. If you're going to present your establishment as a "cut above", I would expect a bit of decorum with proper attire. Our server (I didn't catch her name) had the personality of a rock and was cold (never mean, but definitely has the feeling she didn't really want to be there).
Maybe it's because it's the "low season" being early May, but come on! For €52 for 2 meals and 2 pints, surely you can do better. Also, what is up with the weird thumping noise that was vibrating the ceiling lights? Super annoying.

Porterhouse Central
Dublin
05/06/2026: Great range of craft beers and plenty of sport on TV. Had a chicken baguette which was decent quality too.
Overall, wasn't bad value either.
02/06/2026: I was really surprised with the quality and price!! The meal deal is amazing and I highly recommend it. Besides that, the space is really big and staff is kind and friendly. The only downside is that they don’t have coke and the orange juice was quite bitter, but still, I would definitely go there again!!

Brady's
Dublin
20/05/2026: We visited yesterday and were left genuinely disappointed by our experience. We ordered 2 pints, chicken wings, and garlic cheese chips, coming to €40, which already felt steep.
When the chips arrived, we were surprised to find the “garlic” element was simply 3 to 4 raw, roughly chopped garlic cloves dumped on top, completely overpowering and inedible. We politely asked if we could swap to the bacon cheese chips instead, but what came back appeared to be the exact same dish, simply reheated. We know this for certain because we had put a small amount of ketchup on the chips before requesting the change, and the replacement plate came back with the same ketchup stains still visible. Nothing had changed.
When we raised our concern, we were told “it is what it is”, which we found dismissive and frankly unprofessional. Even your own waitress visibly reacted to the amount of garlic on the plate.
We are not ones to complain, but €40 for this experience, the food quality, the refusal to properly address our request, and the indifferent attitude, was not acceptable. We would welcome a response and hope this is taken as constructive feedback.
07/05/2026: A lovely layout with a well equipped beer garden, which included tv. This was very welcome for the large groups of Man Utd & some Liverpool fans.
The food was delicious and the Guinness was 👍
Staff were efficient & friendly.

05/06/2026: Everything we excellent. Best boneless chicken wings and Spanish omelette ever!!
02/06/2026: I am regular customer and one of loyal people to elephant and castle but recently management are dragging this place down and down , started by removing many lovely dishes, decreasing portions , remove kids most wanted dish and finally remove chocolate fudge ice cream and replace it with ice cream
Really disappointed with this company who manage this brand
I usually go weekly for chicken wings but now i am hesitant about coming back

03/06/2026: Extraordinary spot relaxed excellent food amazing friendly and warm staff tasteful and elegant atmosphere
30/05/2026: Nice pub but it's a pity that the chef isn't confident cooking vegetarian dishes.
