15/09/2025: We hosted a hen party here on Saturday for 21 ladies, and it could not have gone better! The team were incredibly accommodating – they allowed us to set up our own decorations and food, and were so helpful with everything from start to finish. We had corkage on some bottles of prosecco for a welcome drink, and the staff went above and beyond making sure everyone’s glasses were always topped up, even when we moved up to the top deck. As we essentially ran an open bar with drink tokens for guests, it was great to see how respectful and honest the staff were – they made everything so easy for us and didn’t take advantage in any way. Another lovely touch was being able to connect our phones via Bluetooth for music, which meant we could play our own playlist on deck and set the perfect atmosphere. The whole experience was honestly the highlight of the day, and all of our guests had an absolute ball. Thank you so much to everyone at the Dublin Canal Boat Restaurant for helping us create such a memorable start to our hen celebrations!

18/02/2025: Tuve una experiencia muy decepcionante. Mi pareja y yo habíamos reservado para una cena un sábado. Tuvimos un mal presentimiento cuando entramos y vimos cuántas mesas vacías había, especialmente teniendo en cuenta que era un fin de semana de rugby. Mientras que nuestro servidor brasileño era encantador, la comida era sosa y carecía de sabor y condimento. Dejamos la mayoría de nuestras comidas en el plato. El encantador servidor preguntó si todo estaba bien con la comida. Expresé que estaba muy decepcionado, considerando las excelentes críticas que habíamos leído en línea. El servidor nos informó que el chef envió sus disculpas desde la cocina. Nos persuadieron a quedarnos y tomar cafés y postre. El precio de los cafés se descontó de la factura. 06/11/2025: Cocktails were the only good part of this dining experience was rushed by staff to order and our waitress was incredibly passive aggressive the atmosphere was acceptable but they were playing pop music that no way fit the vibe I ordered the chicken burger and truffle and Parmesan fries the burger was wet and soggy at the bottom and the fries didnt have much flavour or Parmesan overall I wouldn’t come here again

28/05/2025: Was there for dinner with my son @7pm on a Saturday. Lovely cute place with nice decor. The portions were sizeable and delicious. The staff were both attentive & professional. I would definitely recommend 👌

26/10/2025: We decided to have a take away and return to the hotel. By the time we returned, the fish was still crisp and golden, the batter light, the chips thick and fluffy. Simple pleasures, impeccably done.

10/09/2025: The food in the bistro, corned beef, was the best I ever had. The chicken salad I had later in the pub/restaurant was the best salad I have ever had. I would be happy to just eat both of those things for the rest of my life.

21/12/2025: Very poor food! My 21 euro burger was like something I'd serve up to the kids.. Zero garnish & burnt chips! . Everything is over priced for what you actually get. Nachos were a complete rip off . This place used to serve really good food. I dont know what happened it? Disappointed++

15/12/2025: Amazing bar/restaurant/coffee shop but the rooms even though they were clean,were small,with nowhere to hang clothes or leave luggage and sink water was either cold or hot. Do not stay at the hotel if you want to sleep and get some rest.One of the noisiest places I’ve ever stayed at and it wasn’t even close to the center of the town.Staff was amazing!Excellent people.

19/11/2025: Found this pub really great. Superb staff and staff apart from one member of staff. A younger blonde woman who was quite unhappy and rude a couple of times while serving me. Overall well worth a visit
