13/04/2025: Beautiful venue, food lovely and great atmosphere

07/04/2025: We went for a dinner on a Tuesday. Not that busy. Food was good. But too pricey. We celebrated our friends bday. They have a bottle of complimentary Prosecco and cake. That’s was good gesture. If you ask me will I go back in the next few months. Nop. But it’s a good place for a corporate gathering. They have a good ambience

18/03/2025: Stayed here for one night and the service in the restaurant was awful, dirty table, food was given to another table, and I had to get up and ask for ketchup and mayonnaise, which had to be fetched from another location, which took some time. By the time I could eat my food was cold.

17/03/2025: Fab Hotel is perfectly located when visiting Bray or UCD. Friendly, helpful staff always in hand for any request or information. Having access to fitness suite is a bonus too. The rooms are spacious and have all amenities you might need. Food in the bar and for breakfast is great too!!

03/03/2025: Great little Cafe for tasty breakfast, lunch and sandwiches. Very friendly place with great service. Coffee quality is also very good.

01/03/2025: Get out of city centre away from the drunk tourists and enjoy a traditional neighborhood pub. Easy access by bus or train. Easy walk if you had too many to the Maldron Hotel. The Guinness stew was incredible, best I ever had. Came back 3 nights during our week stay. Don't be in a hurry and enjoy conversation with the locals. The owner came to our table and provided recommendations of things to do while we visited our daughter at Northeastern University on UCD campus.

14/01/2025: Went here for dinner with 2 friends. Service was prompt and polite. Food was tasty. The woman who served us was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back.

22/03/2025: Vuelve a desayunar. Tenía los huevos benedictos con salmón en pan integral casero. Probablemente el mejor Benno que he tenido. El salmón parcialmente cocido en pan integral casero era una combinación increíble. Los huevos estaban perfectamente cocidos y la salsa holandesa fresca estaba deliciosa. Bien hecho a los chefs. El servicio estuvo a la altura del excelente estándar habitual Volveré pronto.

20/03/2025: Lovely breakfast at Taste, poached eggs on delicious soda bread with bacon, delicious! Service was really good, food came quickly too and the cafe was lovely and clean.

11/04/2025: Popped in for a pre theatre early dinner. I had the calamari which was very thin and dry and I ordered a side portion of frites which were nice. My wife ordered the chicken schnitzel which was an excellent portion size and came with frites. We had a glass of wine and a Peroni 0-0. I wanted desert but after the main course no one came to clear the table, to check on us, or ask if we wanted more drinks or a desert (which looked very nice in the chill display as we left!). €52.50 and I didn’t feel inclined to tip.

04/04/2025: Waiting time to be served was terrible in a not too busy restaurant, we had to call a waiter eventually. Food waiting time was also too long for what we ordered. The fish and chips I ordered came out cold, I suspect from been left on a hot plate for too long to be served, hence our waiting time. I could tell as the side salad had the appearance of seeing better days. Once I brought it to the waiters attention he asked if he could change the chips, but would I like to keep the chips? Having waited a long time for the first time to be served I said ok as we were late to leave for an appointment. To my surprise the chips came back with the fish piping hot, but we saw that they had just thrown them back in the deep fat fryer. You could bounce the chips which were the frozen variety off the wall and the "fresh" fish (also questionable) came out swimming literally in oil. My wife also spotted the kitchen staff asking who left the food back and shaking their heads. To be honest they should be shaking their heads in shame for reheating frozen food for €22.50 and handing it back to a paying customer. If this is what is becoming of the Irish way of selling/cooking food and serving customers then I can understand why people do not return to "restaurants" like this. Management need to shake things up here or it will become another place that will lose customers, and as a result revenue and reputation. Hopefully not go down the road of not listening to customers and having to close their doors instead.

24/03/2025: What a wonderful place, saw the Irish loose to France in six Nations and had a bunch of Baby Guiness as well as grown up Guiness

17/03/2025: Celebrated a family birthday in the Springfield. The Sunday lunch food that others got seemed good, but two of us got fish and I have to say it was the worst fish I have ever been served anywhere. I told the waiter when he was collecting the plates, with the fish still on them, and half expected someone to come to apologise, but no. Probably cooked for the day before and reheated. The result was rubber. Not acceptable.

25/02/2025: I have been going to the Springfield for years and Caroline Hannon has always looked after me so well. Very good attentive service and always with a warm greeting and a smile. Some of the other staff would not be of the same quality in my experience.

28/03/2025: My first time out since being back to Ireland and it was absolutely gorgeous thanks to Alex, she made me remember how welcoming the irish people can be. i’ll definitely be back. bar service was amazing.

03/03/2025: Great experience at the North, restaurant at the Conolly Hotel! The waitresses are very available, we had the chicken and the fish & chips! It was very good, generous portions. Nothing to complain about.

26/02/2025: We enjoyed a meal here as part of a dinner, bed and breakfast package. Food was nice and portions were a good size. It was very quiet, so we had good service. The Thai green curry was the best out of what we both had. We also had cocktails and they were great. Overall it was pleasant enough for a hotel deal, but nothing that really stood out to make me visit if I wasn't staying there.
