21/03/2025: Esta es la segunda vez que he estado en Locks... Siempre iré aquí cuando esté en Dublín. La ubicación en lo que parece ser una zona residencial tranquila cerca de un arroyo o pequeño río es agradable. El restaurante está en un espacio genial y acogedor. El menú no es enorme, pero la comida es deliciosa.

05/10/2025: Had a lovely meal on Sunday. Staff are fantastic. Make sure to either book a table or get there before 1pm as it fills very quickly. That's the only quibble I would have.

22/01/2026: I was last here in January of 1999, and from the photos, it seems like it is exactly was it was then, and countless years before. A wonderful place to have a drink or a pint.

16/11/2025: Really salty food, pints of guinness were really poor and spoilt wine. Good place to watch a match but little else.

16/09/2025: This Pub is amazing! Stopped in for a quick pint and ended up back the next day for live music. Staff was super friendly and so were the locals. Definitely make this a stop when in the area.

03/01/2026: My recent experience in the Step Inn was very unsatisfactory and uncomfortable. The host, Sarah, was very rude and dismissive. I didn’t have a reservation and asked could I be seated for a main course. The restraunt was full but she said she could seat me at a table for 2 to the right of the main desk. I agreed and was brought to the table and placed my order. Over the next few minutes I realised I was seated outside the doors to the kitchen. It was very busy and resembled Dublin airport. I spoke to Sarah and outlined my discomfort and she replied “ I don’t normally put people there and if I knew you had a problem, I would have moved you”. Can honestly say that the Sandyford House or the Golden Ball deliver serious customer service, perhaps the Step Inn new owners will pay attention.

15/01/2026: The food at this restaurant is absolutely amazing. The chefs are incredibly talented, and everyone working in the kitchen and the front-of-house team are so friendly and welcoming. I had a cauliflower soup that was, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever had it was delicious. All the other dishes I’ve tried here have also been consistently impeccable. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

12/01/2026: Food was really tasty, but the portion size was very small. Had the beef ravioli which I really enjoyed, very little beef filling and a very small serving. Guest had the cod, again quite nice but a small portion. Dessert was OK. Overpriced for what we got.

18/02/2026: Lovely food and pleasant staff, also good parking. Overall, had a very nice, unrushed lunch with pleasant service and good quality food.

25/02/2025: Enjoyed a meal here for Sunday lunch, I had the roast beef, which was delicious real good cut, my wife had fillet of cod which was also lovely, service was also good and the atmosphere nice also but the big letdown was the price of a glass of wine, €13.50, absolute robbery thus the 3 stars, can’t understand for the life of me how that price can be justified for a glass of wine

19/02/2026: We had dinner at Fade Street Social and I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. We had a bit of a situation during our meal — my son, who has autism, started panicking because his iPad was about to die. Any parent in that situation knows how stressful that moment can be, and you could probably see the panic on my face too because I was trying to prevent a meltdown. Amit, the restaurant manager, went absolutely above and beyond. Despite how busy the night was, he kept going back and forth trying to find a solution for us. They ended up accommodating us at the bar, brought our dinner there, and even lifted the sofa to access a power outlet so my son could charge his iPad. The relief we all felt in that moment was everything. That level of care and compassion is rare and unforgettable. On top of that, the food was fantastic — the pork chop, rosemary fries, and truffle flatbread were all hits. The cocktails were equally amazing. Their take on a New York Sour and the tiramisu martini were chef’s kiss. Huge shoutout to our server, Sumit, who was super friendly and so kind to my son as well. The service from start to finish was warm, thoughtful, and genuinely exceptional. This was our first time at Fade Street Social, and it definitely won’t be our last. Incredible food, great drinks, and most importantly, a team that truly cares about their guests. Highly, highly recommend. 💛
