The best restaurantsof irish in Dublin

06/07/2025: I had the fish & chips special, which was delicious, along with a glass of cava. The two went great together. Also tried a mango / passion fruit tart, which was amazing! The place is cozy and the service is great. Had a lovely time!

04/07/2025: I saw the summer special for fish and chips and a glass of cava for €26 and decided to try it. The service from when we got there was great. We placed our order and the food was out in under 10 minutes. 2 cods were on the plate but I’d say the star of the dish was the tartar sauce never had anything like it and the fish was super crispy. 10/10 would recommend and the cava pairing worked really well!

07/09/2025: Visited Saturday night about 18:00 to 22:00. A one-man band entertained with irish folk songs util about 19:30 then became more modern/pop. He kept the patrons lively. Ireland vs Hungary was an the Tele. Guinness, murphys, smithwicks, morretti on tap. Small variety of food. Nachos were the worst I ever had. Nothing but a plate of tortilla crumbs. The seafood stew was great. Loaded with fish. Had some smoked salmon to give it a strong smoke flavor that I enjoyed. Was a unique flavor to me but had a fishy aroma. Service ranged from being ignored by the veteran wait staff to extremely attentive and friendly young lad that took care of us the second half of the night.

11/09/2025: Should have known what was coming when the menu was printed on a tattered plain A4 sheet of paper with no sleeve. I tried to order food at the bar and the not busy barman told me I had to do that with the lounge server and went back to his phone. Very disappointing chicken burger from bun through chicken fillet and trimmings. The slice of cheese inside was the size of a sweet wrapper, less than half of the bun. My friend ordered the goujons and got just three of them with a basket of chips for an obscene €15. The pints were poorly poured too, very inconsistent with too large heads. Perhaps got them on a bad evening but won’t be back.

20/09/2025: Excellent place, delicious food, and perfect service. We're also particularly impressed by the location next to Temple Bar, and most importantly, the service from Stefano, a waiter of Italian origin, was brilliant. Kindness, courtesy, and friendliness. Congratulations.

08/09/2025: Had two pints of Guinness each and the Irish Stew here. Both were good, ordered an additional portion of mash as it was scarce on the main meal. I give this pub 2 stars, and my reason is the size of the bill, judge for yourself.

07/09/2025: We’ve been back 3 times in 2 days because of the fresh, delicious food and excellent, friendly service. I want to point out Jordan and Connor as two very excellent hosts. They took great care of us. We tried the duck spring rolls and seafood chowder and they were absolutely delicious and fresh. Jordan was our bartender and server, and he was so great, and he provided us with some guidance for finding good whiskeys (that weren’t served there). We would happily return…. And return we did! Just a few hours later we wanted another go at the fresh and delicious food here. We had the bangers and mash and the lamb stew, and hands down the best we’ve had so far. And as a fan of Redbreast, I enjoyed the Lustau version. Just amazingly tasty all around, and great, lively, and lovely service here. We also had the fish and chips, and it was amazing and what we were hoping to get. Excellent restaurant, folks. Stop in and enjoy it all.

09/08/2025: Nice room. Right on the tram for easy access to the city. Location is industrial looking, but there is a small park and mall walking distance. Garage sucks.

06/10/2025: Wondergull addition to your day in Howth, wander about the harbour and you would do worse than to pick up some fish and chips here. Very light crispy batter, so popular is super fresh.

16/09/2025: We visited the bar on the main level. While we did not eat there, the food that came out of the kitchen looked and smelled amazing. The drinks were great and at a decent price. The servers were very attentive and friendly.

05/09/2025: We didn't eat here, but we did visit it at it is the local Spurs supporters bar. It was great. Nice staff, good beer, good support of the the Tottenham Hotspur.

21/03/2025: Esta es la segunda vez que he estado en Locks... Siempre iré aquí cuando esté en Dublín. La ubicación en lo que parece ser una zona residencial tranquila cerca de un arroyo o pequeño río es agradable. El restaurante está en un espacio genial y acogedor. El menú no es enorme, pero la comida es deliciosa.
