18/01/2026: Absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. This restaurant delivers an experience that goes far beyond a great meal. The atmosphere in Peploe’s strikes the perfect balance between stylish and welcoming with their staff making you feel relaxed the moment you walk in. The service is very attentive, warm, and genuinely thoughtful and every recommendation felt personal. The food is where it truly shines. Each dish is beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, clearly made with high-quality ingredients and so evident in their exquisite starter Scampi of Dublin Bay Prawns with the lightest batter wrapping the sweet succulent prawns. From the first bite to the last, everything was perfectly balanced and memorable. Portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming, the main of Prime Irish Beef Fillet with Fondant Potatoes and Peppercorn Sauce was perfectly cooked with a beautifully caramelized crust that gave way to a warm, rosy center, seasoned simply to let the purity of the beef shine. The Mains Special that night was Barbary Duck with Foie Gras and Cherry Sauce. The Duck Breast had its fat perfectly rendered and foie gras added a silken, luxurious depth, while the cherry sauce cut through with bright acidity and gentle sweetness, bringing the dish into perfect balance. Even the smallest details, like the sides and sauces, were exceptional. Peploe’s menu offers something for everyone while still feeling creative and refined. This is the kind of place you keep thinking about long after you leave. A true gem with excellent staff that are welcoming, professional and mindful. 05/01/2026: Simply delicious, absolutely fabulous! Open when most places were closed. Not a table free, and there is a reason why! Claudia the magnificent took our booking and we would go back again just for that smile! I had the kidneys to start, sublime! A beautiful creamy rich sauce toasted Brioche all amazing. MBW had the chickpea and aubergine starter, she said it was delicious , it must have been she didn't share any! Sea bass for main also perfect. We ordered two bread baskets, one would have done! I had the filet steak to follow which was a winner, hallelujah! We had the Sancere white to start followed by a couple of bottles of Lussac St Émilion, take me away WOW. SERVICE WAS THE BEST. Claudia and Paul were fabulous and a delightful lady from Brittany whose name escapes me ! All top class What a night, we are coming back soon I hope. 11/01/2026: Over from Scotland, and right away we were welcomed in. Staff are lovely. Special shoutout to the Swiss German barman, he was incredible with us and was a good laugh! Live music was very good, when we are back in Dublin, this’ll be our go to.

11/01/2026: Was there last night with my husband, we went to hear a really good group of musicians play. Enjoyed it but we encountered three of the most grumpiest barmen ever, no smiles, no chit-chat, nothing, sour faces instead, I can understand one but seriously three of them!! Place was quiet and we were sitting at the bar, but not once did they ask us did we want a refill, we could have sat there all night with empty glasses and they wouldn't have noticed or cared. It was 9.50 for the smallest glass of wine ever. For those reasons we won't be back, we left after a while and went down to the Harold House, much nicer, good music, friendly barmen and cheaper drink!!

14/11/2025: This is a place we always go to. The service is quick and friendly, the food and prices are standard, and the pub is spacious enough for all kinds of events. We live nearby and love coming here.

24/12/2025: To start with, this used to be a family favorite spot and we had Mam's 60th here with zero complaints, but after today we will never return as it was a total disaster. I totally understand it’s Christmas Eve and there is going to be a long wait which is fine, but we got there at 10:00 and I had to wipe the table myself. Coffees came out at 10:15/10:30 but the food didn't arrive until 11:15. I asked for water 3 times and it never came. I eventually cleaned the table and put the dishes on the bar myself, and while I was there I asked for water a 4th time only to be told "only orders from the table"—an instruction that comically came from the owner, I later found out. We actually had to go to the shops straight after we left just to get drinks because we were so dehydrated. When the breakfast finally came it was the wrong order. 2 breakfasts came out first with toast but no butter; I asked twice for butter and still none arrived. Then the other 2 breakfasts arrived after we had already started the first 2. I asked for butter a third time and it never came, and we also ordered tea twice which never arrived either. I told the waitress all of this and she was very nice and sorry, but it wasn’t her fault, it was the overall management of the place. Actions speak louder than words and we were charged for the cold coffees and full price for the breakfast, which I can only describe as 2 hours of pure frustration for what was meant to be an annual family Christmas breakfast. As you can see I’ve never left a bad review for anywhere, but this experience wins for my first ever bad review. Paying full price for what was a disaster is unacceptable. Avoid this place at all costs.

19/12/2025: Love this little hidden café near the Four Courts. Great coffee paired with genuinely friendly, efficient service. It’s a popular spot with the legal crowd, and it’s easy to see why — smooth, high-quality coffee, a lovely selection of pastries and light lunch options, and very reasonable prices. The space is airy and welcoming, with a charming nod to the building’s history (look for the old Medical Mission sign). A small place but well worth seeking out. ❤️🫶🏿

02/01/2026: Had a fantastic dinner here recently. Love their menu, especially the starters. They do a Tuesday tapas too which I really want to have. Food did take quite a while but it was worth the wait.

07/02/2026: Generally really good place, the food and service were superb, the food was brought very quickly and tasted really good, the Guinness was amazing as always, the only thing we didn’t like was a smell in that corner where we were sitting, smelled a little weird.
