The best restaurantsof irish in Dublin

27/03/2024: I am mortified that I haven't reviewed this most excellent of local pubs....my parents come here at least once a week and I go with them when I am home. I didn't eat here this time but have in the past and the food is great and very reasonable, the Sunday roast dinner is also to die for..... I went a few times on this last visit home and really enjoyed it as per usual.... great drinks selection and friendly atmosphere... Birgitta from Hungary (sorry if I have spelled name wrong) is phenomenal and when you go during her shift you are guaranteed amazingly efficient and friendly service. What a lovely human and a total credit to the bar. I will be back when next I am home!

28/03/2024: Nice quiet spot a little outside the city. The aesthetic in the Schoolhouse is pretty nice, The reception area is a little tardy but the rooms are really nice, large beds are just 2 twins pushed together so keep that in mind, The bathroom was nice and the shower was toasty. Staff were friendly and helpful. TV in the bedroom was a smart one but casting didn't work also network switch behind the TV was super bright, a little DIY and it can be blocked out (makes me wonder if hotel designer ever think about that) Big room key is novel but also a little bit of a hassle having to drop it off at reception. Aircoach 702 or 703 bus drops and picks up for the airport right outside. City Center is about a 30min walk but the city is very different at night so I would advise a taxi, the dart or a bus (no. 4 or 7). Restaurant is nice and food is pretty good. I was disappointed with the breakfast (A traditional Irish does not have streaky bacon) there are better places for a group.

18/03/2024: Bar and restaurant serves lovely food and very friendly and helpful staff. Nice hotel. But had an issue with receptionist after being wrongly accused of not paying for an extra night I booked. Extremely rude and no apology when discovered she was wrong after embarrassing me infront my friend. For this reason I would not return.

02/04/2024: Great pub how it should be run uniforms white shirts clean bar and proper staff who knew how to serve customers with a Chef in uniform serving food busy with great service

25/02/2024: Good place to chill, listen to good music, they have a good selection of drinks and food, staff very friendly. Easy to reserve their function room which is big enough👌

24/03/2024: Has to be a 5 star deli staff lovely need to go for any food it's here what lovely food big menu very reasonable prices coffee made infront of u what a gem of a shop don't change u won't get better food from any shop in Ireland this folks is a gem !

18/03/2024: As a Brazilian, I can say that I ate the best traditional Irish omelet. The customer service was impeccable, people were very receptive, polite and friendly. I recommend it!

02/04/2024: Good food but extremely disappointed when receiving the bill: 10% service (not specified on the menu - I checked) is displayed in addition, which spoiled our experience. This seems like a lot to me for the little service received

01/04/2024: Great to see and hear "Dave" ( a slimmed down meatloaf now and looking about 10 yrs younger too ! ,) back spinning the discs on satrdy nte on the grnd floor of this rockin ba🎶🎸🎙🎤...Dave plays an ecletic range of tunes and genres with sm truly gr8 sets from d 80's like the undertones ( teenage kicks ) human league, ,( dont u want me baby ) the waterboys, ( you saw the whole of the moon ) Madness , some Diaco, ska, reggae, plenty of 90s brit pop a la Oasis ( she is electric ) and a gr8 floor filler with d' killers to bring the roof down ....he will nearly always play a request ..unless its Abba !) ..Ive been goin 2 brxelles on and off since 1986 and for me Bruxelles is by a distance the best late bar for gr8 tunes and l8 pints and now with a gr8 bar service since ownership changed hands . . Bruxelles of Harry street , overlooked by Phil Lynott, an ex patron, is a true Dublin rock bar👏 .

30/03/2024: Although the apple pie was enjoyable, the overall experience was marred by poor service from the external waitress. Despite spending a significant amount, the treatment received was subpar. I would advise others to reconsider visiting this establishment

27/03/2024: Great quality room for the price. Good location a short walk from the centre with tram stops nearby.

23/03/2024: I stayed in a single, nicely arranged room with everything needed for a short stay. Very central location, a bit away from main touristy area, but still on walkable distance. 15% discounts in the bar below for guests is a nice touch. It could be a little bit noisy, but this is because of the location. Despite this . I would stay there again.

30/03/2024: Excellent bakery, just a shame when some staff stop what there doing to chit chat with customers about prescriptions, hospital and pregnancy. Your holding up the que when it's out the door.

05/04/2024: We really enjoyed our time at The Church. Berkkaun is a star and deserves nothing but great things. He recommended us great drinks. Give this man a raise!

04/04/2024: Food was delicious. The fish n chips was a little fishy. Ham and Cabbage...that was the best dish we had! Wow! The chicken sandwich was stellar. Get the mushroom gravy to dunk chips or chicken sandwich in. Atmosphere was cool. The whole idea of a church, dinner, Irish dancers, upstairs balcony, and cellar bar is one for the books! Would go back.

03/04/2024: At this very central hotel the room was good and spacious. Breakfast was very good also, although the breakfast room fills up quickly and staff are not always aware of you waiting for them to assign a table. We had good fun at the bar when we returned from the pubs in the centre. Overall the staff was very very friendly, even when my friend was being very critical about some things. The things he was critical about: 1. the WiFi signal in the room was intermittent. Not a problem for me personally. 2. he thought there were only two plug sockets in the room. In the end it turned out there were four, so it wasn't a problem after all. Since Dublin is never cheap to stay overnight, I would consider this hotel relatively good value for money.

02/04/2024: On the positive side, it’s a cool old building with a decent breakfast including vegan options. Rooms were also clean with a nice updated bath. Cons side, building shook with the constant trains passing. The food at the hotel restaurant is absolutely terrible, but they make a decent Irish Coffee. Big beware! There recommended parking location is not open 24hrs and has limited hours. We were not told this and nor is it posted on their website. We would have missed our flight if not for the help of a stranger. This should be made much more clear to their guests. The parking is a couple blocks from the hotel
