03/01/2026: After a lovely walk on the trails around Howth, we stopped here quite by chance… and what a pleasant surprise! The fish and chips were excellent, as was the curry with its Thai twist. A warm welcome and impeccable service. A place we highly recommend, well done!

02/01/2026: Excellent food, friendly and welcoming service, reservations required towards the end of service. A pleasant stop between a good hike in a beautiful area and the train station for the return trip to Dublin. Ultra-fresh seafood!

03/01/2026: The brunch spot is very well located, and the staff are pleasant. The sandwiches are very basic, made with simple white bread; the brioches are good, but it's still a bit expensive for the portion sizes.

04/01/2026: Great restaurant in the proximity to the Energy theatre. Great for a drink or a propper meal, a bit pricy but worth it. Most of all we liked their fish and apple crumble.

17/12/2025: Fantastic meal at the pigs ear. All 3 courses were absolutely delicious plus the staff were super friendly and really knew the menu and history behind the menu well! We had a fab evening and are still talking about the Mulligatawny Pie 😆

13/12/2025: How to review this place..? We were at National Museum of Ireland and decided to visit. We checked the menu on line and agreed on it because of the variety and authentic Irish food but didn't make a reservation, we just walked in and we were ambushed by the "manager" asking us to check the menu because..(his words) "DO YOU HAVE A RESERVATION"?? "THIS IS NOT A PLACE FOR COFFEE AND SANDWICHES" But anyway we were sat at our table and when we asked if we can have a different one he said.. "NO...THIS IS YOUR TABLE"!!! We had mixed feelings about it. Starting with the food.. Drink order: Bottles of flat and bubbly water, Rioja Wine and 2 pints of Guinness We had the Famine Soup, The Salmon Gravlax and the Lobster Omelet as starters.. The soup was tasty but I hoped for a better portion of bone marrow, it was just a little dabble of it on a big piece of toast and couldn't appreciate the flavor...the lobster Omelet was magnificent, good chunks of lobster in a well prepare Omelet, the gravlax was what we expected, a good amount and smoked to perfection. For mains we had to Sole, the pork chop and the grill sample.."Jammets" The grilled meat sample was excellent with a superb black pudding and all the meats were tender and succulent, the pork chop was a big chunk of meat with a lot of fat and the side potatoes were very greasy and overcooked and the fish wasn't very good, tasted a little as if it was just defrosted...for dessert we had the cheese cake that come in a mason jar inside a paper bag, I guess is a deconstructed version, it was hard to eat due to the excessive crumbs and the awkwardness of the jar but the taste was good... Espresso was good as well as the mocha, but the regular drip coffee was weak... The service by ツィカル was great and we practiced our Japanese with her. To get to the bathroom you have to go all the way up to the fourth floor and it might be a little troublesome for older people.. In a place with few tables at the time we ended up with empty plates on our table while the manager and other persons were talking at the bar..our server was busy doing a birthday for a table... In resume we didn't like being judged at the door with the manager assuming that we don't have enough money for this kind of place... We might try other places next month.

11/12/2025: Excellent food in a reasonable price scale although size wise portions could be bigger 😅 Service was excellent with really friendly hostess and manager checking on the table to make sure we are happy. Food was ready quick. Atmosphere wise - quiet so conversation was not a problem, delicate lighting, comfortable and elegant. I can highly recommend The Purty Kitchen to anyone looking for good food and place to spend time with family and friends.

08/12/2025: Had a power cut while we were there and while we had a great night they could have done a better job of serving drinks - I believe to problem was down to not being able to ring up the sale on the til, that could have been sorted afterwards!

26/12/2025: The truth is, I accidentally ordered a delicious Irish stew when the waiter took my order and served me; I ordered Irish roast beef, which was the same price, and they got it mixed up. It's a good place, packed every night. Recommended.

01/12/2025: The nicest pub I've been to in Dublin! A typical Irish pub near Dublin's main street; really good food and friendly staff, all in a warm, quintessentially Irish atmosphere! Would I recommend it? Definitely! Would I go back? Absolutely!

04/01/2026: Really rude customer service from the staff. The drink was taken away while I was drinking it and the service was generally rude from the waiter, although the owner of the place tried his best to improve the atmosphere. I rarely give reviews, but I had to. The portions were huge and the food was quite good.

24/12/2025: Chicago here. Was there last week for a few days stopped in for dinner. Let us sit where we wanted. Great food. Gentleman who waited on us was great and friendly.

12/12/2025: I had a really gorgeous seasonal sandwich here today on freshly-made focaccia inside the very beautiful Powerscourt Centre. It’s always a good bet for a lovely lunch or stop for coffee and cake. Highly recommend!
