Mullingar House

Dublin
22/04/2026: Just back from there with husband and kids. Really really good place, food was delicious, kids meals were quite big, very reasonable prices and very tasty, I got Caesar salad and husband got the loaded potatoes skins, every thing was eaten, and it was all so tasty and price for all was very good value. Girl that served us was also so nice. Will be back!! ETA i have to say this place is gone downhill, I think they changed the chef, food is terrible, chicken wings were obviously lying there and then re heated because the meat was hard, husband got Guinness and it was really bad, we have tried this place a few times hoping it was a once off but no, awful so won't be back unfortunately.
23/03/2026: Staying with work in The West County Hotel and went for walk in Phoenix Park. Called in here for bite to eat and a drink on way back. first thing that strikes you is the interior is really nice and the pub has real character. Food was excellent with an extensive menu and staff were just nice people. Will definitely be back and would strongly recommend it. It's outside appearance doesn't prepare you for how nice it is inside.

The Parnell Heritage Pub & Grill

Dublin
26/04/2026: Delicious dinner and wonderfull drinks. We wanted something special, so we asked the bartender if he could make something sweet for us. He made us a special drink called Genn's Special. It tasted amazing! 10/10 would recommend! Amazing service and amazing foods/drinks!
15/04/2026: Two stars for the environment ,zero for the food- had pasta and it was literally a ....tasteless soup!!!! If you don't know how to cook it( didn't expect Italian ,of course ,but not such a disaster) ,don't bother.Ruined massively my whole last evening in Dublin.

Ginger Man

Dublin
10/05/2026: Really enjoyed this pub. Went for a bite to eat before a show. Food was lovely and reasonably priced for Town. Staff really nice and accommodating got us a seat even though it was busy.
02/05/2026: If you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Temple Bar, The Ginger Man is the perfect place. The pub is centrally located, yet on a pleasantly quiet side street, so it's rarely uncomfortably crowded. The atmosphere is wonderfully authentic and cozy – perfect for enjoying a beer in peace and actually having a conversation. The quaint decor adds to the pub's charm. A real insider tip for anyone seeking a genuine, relaxed pub experience in Dublin.

Side Door Restaurant

Dublin
18/05/2026: We had high expectations going in and the place definitely lived up! It was my first time trying an Irish breakfast and it was exactly what I imagined it would be. A big recommend
16/05/2026: We were expecting a bit of playful banter and came ready for the jokes since that’s part of the charm, but instead, we got the warmest welcome. Alan was an absolute sweetheart—guess he has a soft spot for Mexicans. We tried the traditional Irish breakfast and an open BLT sandwich. Food was delicious, Irish coffee was lit 😌🔥 🇲🇽 Definitely would be happy to visit again.

Arthur Mayne's

Dublin
08/03/2026: First time there yesterday. Have always passed it over the years and always wanted to go in for a pint. Walked in yesterday. Sound barman served us Fantastic Guinness. It's a beautiful pub. Had a nice stroll around it as it wasn't busy in the afternoon. Will definitely return.
02/02/2026: Classy pub, with the traditional storefront, hardware and perfume bottles that used to be for sale. "Just going to the hardware store to buy a couple of nails and an Eau de Cologne", that old tradition. Heineken 0.0 on tap, that's pretty rare, and cool.

Shack Restaurant

Dublin
16/05/2026: In a typical and warm setting, staff are there without interruption to serve you quality cuisine. Thanks
15/05/2026: Stopped by when in the area and for a bite to eat. They have a good selection of drinks, with a fairly good menu. The Dublin Sea Chowder was good and they also have a good selection of vegetarian options. Washed down by a pint or more, or just a warm beverage. We had an incorrect check brought to us, with that sorted out we were on our way.

Pig's Ear

Dublin
24/05/2026: Awful! Bad food at exorbitant prices
17/05/2026: This is a restaurant I was introduced to by a local acquaintance during my first visit to Dublin in 2019, and it left a very strong impression on me. I wanted to go again on this trip, so I revisited it. I visited on my second day in Dublin. I was a little tired after sightseeing at Newgrange and suffering from jet lag, so I didn't have much of an appetite, but I enjoyed a light meal with wine. I ordered the soup from "The Old Dubliner," Salmon Gravlax, and "Jammets" Mixed Grill. All the dishes were carefully prepared and delicious. I was particularly satisfied with the salmon and the grilled dishes. However, perhaps due to my physical condition or expectations, this visit didn't quite reach the same level of "Wow!" as my first visit in 2019. Nevertheless, it remains a wonderful restaurant where you can enjoy a relaxing meal in Dublin. I was happy to revisit this memorable place.
