The Bakehouse
Dublin
30/01/2026: Had the beef and Guinness pie in CHQ - while tasty there was very little beef. Pie was bulked out with baby potatoes and carrots which you only discovered when digging into the crust. Disappointed
03/01/2026: The brunch spot is very well located, and the staff are pleasant. The sandwiches are very basic, made with simple white bread; the brioches are good, but it's still a bit expensive for the portion sizes.

Craft
Dublin
03/11/2025: We had the Chef’s Menu at Craft and it was absolutely outstanding – incredible value at €39 for the quality and amount of food. You get to taste everything, and honestly, we couldn’t pick a favourite starter because they were all so good. We had the pork chop main - so good and as always the roast potatoes were unreal! From the brown bread right through to dessert, every dish was delicious. We’re so lucky to have this place in Harold’s Cross – can’t recommend it enough! The service deserves a mention too - really lovely atmosphere. Well done to all at Craft. We will be back soon.
11/10/2025: Plates full of flavour. Thanks you for lovely evening

The meal was generous and delicious, one of the best restaurants I've been to since arriving in Ireland.
I highly recommend it.

The Pepper Pot
Dublin
24/12/2025: The Christmas sandwich is possibly the best thing I will eat all year, 10/10 amazing oh my god
12/12/2025: I had a really gorgeous seasonal sandwich here today on freshly-made focaccia inside the very beautiful Powerscourt Centre. It’s always a good bet for a lovely lunch or stop for coffee and cake. Highly recommend!

The Black Sheep, menu
Dublin
05/02/2026: Unsure of fire exit. Downstairs door locked. Only way out was up the stairs.
03/02/2026: For gluten free beer drinkers, this ks the place. They had a variety of option from lagers to stouts and also ciders.

05/02/2026: Delicious food. I don't think I've enjoyed vegetarian food as much as I did here. Great service too. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Mullingar House
Dublin
20/02/2026: This was only a short bus journey or about a 15 minute walk from the hotel we were staying at (West County Hotel) we fancied something local instead of going into the city. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, everything was explained to us when we arrived, specials etc.. it was just a cosy, homely atmosphere. The food was great and lots of it too.
06/02/2026: Excellant food and drink and the staff are great its a lovely pub

The Oval
Dublin
17/02/2026: Excellent and generous fish and chips accompanied by a very good Guinness in a typical and magnificent setting!
14/02/2026: We came midweek and received a very warm welcome. The pub wasn't particularly busy, but the staff were incredibly attentive.
The fish and chips was absolutely delicious! But quite a generous portion (don't eat too much beforehand or you won't be able to finish your plate). A pleasant atmosphere in a typical Dublin pub!

Farmer Browns
Dublin
28/01/2026: What a great little place!
We actually ate here both nights we were in Dublin. Good options for vegetarian as well as meat eaters, food was lush and good portions! Staff were lovely, drinks were good. Small venue, but atmosphere was good and lovely to see it so busy, especially Saturday so recommend you book as very easy to use their system.
05/01/2026: Coffee was really good quality. The food was incredible. Portion sizes were really generous and the flavour of everything was so tasty and fresh. The man serving us was super friendly and I love the option of eating indoors/ outdoors with a really cosy vibe to the whole place. Couldn’t recommend more :)

Bóbó's Gourmet Irish Burgers
Dublin
07/02/2026: Very friendly waiters and great food! The only slightly confusing thing was that the prices on the wall were not up to date, but it wasn’t a problem at all. Overall, a very good experience.
24/01/2026: Atmosphere is really nice and the location is really convenient. Sadly that's where the pros end.
While food were good in quality, it totally lacks in taste. The protein ( Chicken , Lamb ) were not seasoned in anyway with a very bland taste. The combination with other ingredients made the Chicken burger some what tasteful , however the combination for the lamb burger was totally bland.
In addition to that with the price , the burgers should accompany fries or any other plated snacks which does not. As the price is purely for the burger, it's not worth.
Had to order fries separately.
All together, the meal was over priced without much taste.

The Auld Dubliner
Dublin
16/02/2026: Great pub with constant live music. Almost exclusively tourists, but that doesn't detract from the good atmosphere every day 💚
15/02/2026: This pub, similar to the classic and well-known Temple Bar, boasts excellent live music, featuring modern songs adapted to their own style. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. It's great on Fridays if you arrive early, but far too crowded on Saturday nights. Beers are €10, and the price of the "baby Guinness" shots is particularly noteworthy; they're simply Tia Maria or a similar liqueur with Baileys, also €10 each.

Matt The Thresher
Dublin
17/01/2026: We booked a large party on short notice and the food, service and atmosphere were all amazing!
10/01/2026: First time dining at Matt the Thresher. Gorgeous decor and vibes and lovely staff. The service was excellent and the drinks were delicious. The night we were in was a little crowded and there were some very drunk, very loud tables around is which somewhat spoiled the atmosphere at times. My wife and I don't eat meat which somewhat limited the menu, she had the much lauded scampi and I ordered the vegetarian offering which was a squash gnocchi. The pasta dish was incredible, light, rich and delicious and a perfect portion size. The scampi, though very tasty, didn't quite live up to the hype or the nearly 40euro price tag. Definitely a good eat and a beautiful spot, but there are places to get an equally fantastic meal for half the price, so I can't give it the 5 star.
