The best restaurantsof irish in Dublin

01/04/2025: ¡Qué placer! Vine aquí para una celebración de cumpleaños y no puedo esperar a volver aquí. ¡Siento que se acerca una nueva tradición! El sábado 29 de marzo, a las 14: 30, vine aquí a tomar el té de la tarde con mi novio por su cumpleaños, y oh chico fue una delicia. En primer lugar, el servicio fue excelente. Lucy, nuestra excelente servidora nos llevó a nuestra mesa y nos explicó todo, y lo que realmente se me quedó fue cuando dijo "el cielo es el límite" y seguro que lo fue! ¡Tuviste que sacarme de ahí! El sándwich abierto feta batido era uno de nuestros favoritos, al igual que la rodaja de frambuesa pistacho, simplemente para MORIR. ¡Nuestro té favorito tenía que ser el whisky irlandés y la crema! Todas nuestras necesidades fueron atendidas en términos de más alimentos, condimentos y tés. La decoración era impresionante y nos dieron los mejores asientos de la casa! Nuestro día fue realmente especial.

13/03/2025: Servicio extremadamente decepcionante en el salón Lord Mayors para el té de la tarde - nos apresuró a salir por la puerta antes de que nuestro tiempo asignado se terminó quería el pago antes de que termináramos, el personal grosero - cuando lo traje a la atención de los hoteles que lo cepilló - no volverá y era un cliente habitual - el servicio se ha ido cuesta abajo. Es una lástima ya que la comida y la decoración son fabulosas

04/05/2025: Two of us went for dinner, nice local restaurant, friendly professional staff. The menu had great options for starters and mains. The food was top notch. Full of flavour and well presented. We will definitely return. 10/10

25/05/2025: NOT advisable to eat here if you have theater plans or an hour or less to eat. Very disappointing experience, especially from a hotel restaurant where travelers usually have events to get to and need a reliable but quality food experience. I was staying at NYX, arrived at the bar at 1750, promptly informed the staff I only had an hour and had a show to catch, ordered a ceviche and burger and asked for them to just bring them out when ready. 30 mins later had to ask the manager for a glass of water and question if the food was lost, at 45 minutes none of the food had even arrived. At 50 minutes it came out but was too late to even try and eat so I just asked for a box and the bill. After 5 minutes the food was still not out, I had paid and informed the manager this was not good business for travelers. Finally made it out the door at 1850 to catch a taxi. They ended up sending the food via room service to my room but I didn't get back for hours and was not going to risk food poisoning by eating it. All told it was about €60 all gone to waste. Just a very unsatisfactory experience from a hotel restaurant that's supposed to be on the higher end. (Literally the day before I had a 3 course meal with 3 different wines at Amuri, all in an hour for very lovely experience there 4.5⭐). For the NYX restaurant not even 1 ⭐ for the frustration of buying food I never got the chance to even eat.

12/05/2025: What a great and relaxed, bright space to have breakfast! Family friendly and staff were kind. I recommend this place

06/05/2025: This café was a great place to take a short break and find some peace in the middle of Dublin. We walked from the castle and found great gift shops other boutiques on our way. The atmosphere was really pleasant, and while seating depends on how busy it is, the side seats are definitely the best if you can get one. Prices are also reasonable, making it a nice and affordable stop during the day. Cute tableware as well!!

10/05/2025: It was okay, nothing out of ordinary. The portions are miserable , another dublin hipster restaurant speakeasy but food not upto the mark ! Like stop ripping people off

06/05/2025: Excellent food. Not a big choice on menu but everyone in party of 9 really enjoyed their meal. Service friendly and helpful. Very much on expensive side but just about worth the money. Very pleasant ambience, so overall recommended.

19/05/2025: I had a lovely night staying with you in May. My room was very comfortable and the service I received from Bala, was great. I would highly recommend a stay at the Talbot Hotel. Thank you.

17/05/2025: The only complaint I would have about my room, the very loud thumping music coming from gym in hotel. I complained in person to a staff member on reception. I rang down one morning at 6.15 as music had started up again. I was moved to a quieter room. I found a bit of difficulty getting in and out of bath. Next time I would ask for a walk in shower if possible. The food was lovely. Your staff on reception and in bistro were so kind and attentive. I would hope to return in near future for more relaxation and good company.

17/05/2025: Very rude guy, didn’t want to heat 1 minute the food of our baby in the microwave. First time ever I had this reply and definitely never happened in Dublin, that is super baby friendly. Family with kids, please avoid.

03/05/2025: When you want to engage in conversation after the manic pubs and clubs of the Temple Bar area, this is the place. Great selection of beer as well.

10/05/2025: Lovely visit to Herbstreet for brunch this morning. Glad we had booked as it was very busy. This however didn’t compromise on the friendly welcome that we were greeted with and the attentive service throughout. We’d booked an indoor table but asked if we could sit outside as it was such a beautiful day and the outdoor seating area at the front had a lovely view over the docks and was basking in sunshine. This was accommodated and early explained when the table was to be returned. Great menu with a range of breakfast/lunch options. Food was delicious and portions very generous. Hadn’t visited this area of Dublin before but lots of interesting sightseeing opportunities close by for afterwards. Hope to visit again.

24/04/2025: I had the beef stew and bar none in was the best Beef Stew I have ever had. They even offered more once I had finished which truly shocked me. This pub/Restaurant is a must visit if in Dublin. I wish we were staying longer so we could come again before leaving.

13/05/2025: Great atmosphere, lovely people! Food was great every time i visited in the past 2 years. I mostly go for the carvery, especially the lamb shank and the beef! Match it with a pint of Hophouse and everything is just great! The cooking team deserves a raise, especially for the two dishes I mentioned above! Location is also great, a walk after food in the botanical gardens is amazing!

11/05/2025: Seems to be the only pub that has survived in Rathfarnham village. Nice area to sit outside on a sunny day for a drink. We didn't eat but the food looked nice. The group beside us ordered and it seemed like a looooong time before the food arrived.

11/04/2025: 1 hour waiting for food on a sunny Friday afternoon. No communication about the obvious issues in the kitchen. First time visit from a new Rathfarnham resident, won't be back for many years.

13/05/2025: Great experience and perfect location for a corporate networking event. Such a unique location, every raved about the attentiveness and kindness of the staff and how delicious the canapés were. Jaya was my point of contact and she was excellent to deal with, professional and quick to answer any query throughout. We had to reschedule our event from last year and she was extremely helpful. Hope to visit again!

05/05/2025: We were here last weekend for a hen party and it was amazing! Staff were so friendly and helpful and drinks flowing non-stop, we had a great time. Would highly recommend for future events!

14/05/2025: Always a favourite pub to visit in City Centre, busy but still space to stand and enjoy a pint with friends

14/05/2025: What great pub on the corner of Dame Street. Sat/ Sunday is a must if there is a band on, plenty of room to dance. Look up their site for upcoming dates and bands. Sunday used to be a SKA night and it was brilliant. Great selection of whiskeys. If there is one drawback, it is the Loos , they are down a flight of stairs 😲
