The best restaurantsof irish in Dublin

12/12/2025: Good quality fish and chips, as well as some pizza options, such as vegetarian and pepperoni. The place is quite expensive, €20 for fish and chips, which is understandable considering the cost of living there, but not for the portion size. The staff's service could be much better, and at times they were overly attentive when entering the PIN on the card reader (suspiciously, the contactless wasn't working). They're the kind of fixed kiosks you can't touch to protect your PIN. We didn't like what happened. Nor did we appreciate waiting over 30 minutes to be served. It's located away from the main pedestrian area, so the atmosphere in this area is less touristy, and you can find "all sorts" of places. Not recommended unless you go during the day, pay in cash, and order takeaway.

03/12/2025: Had lunch here today for the first time in ages and was really impressed. Had the salmon - broccoli and root veg done perfectly and really good mash. Baked salmon was excellent. Friend had beetroot and goats cheese salad and loved it. Extremely reasonable too Will definitely be back.

08/12/2025: Well, we went there as a last resort because we planned to go somewhere else for a coffee, and my god we were surprised. The place is really great, coffee is fantastic (I had mocha) and their chocolate cheese cake is out of this world. I will be back there again.

23/11/2025: Lovely restaurant and bar area but really bad food. Completely empty on what should be a busy Sunday afternoon. Tasteless desserts, fatty beef roast. A pity as venue looks great and staff lovely. Fitzpatricks is patchy to say the least - from some angles hotel looks incredible, from others it is semi-derelict, covered in moss and damp.

02/01/2026: 8 months pregnant waiting 20 minutes at the bar to be looked after, my uncles funeral and was spoken to horribly and told they were short staffed so there was nothing they could do but staff walking around chatting very bad service horrible staff wouldn’t waste me money here

01/01/2026: The pub is nicely decorated and the atmosphere is good, floor service was excellent. Unfortunately the food was very poor. I had the chicken burger and have never had a worse one. What was passed off as "chicken" neither tasted nor looked like any chicken burger I have ever had before. The Heineken was not good from the lounge on the night and the barman was very reluctant to go to the bar to pull it where it was much better. Don't think I will be back very soon!

20/12/2025: The atmosphere itself was fine — friendly clientele, good screens for football, and the other staff were pleasant. However, my experience was significantly let down by the head barman. Our order was extremely straightforward all night: basic pints, crisps, and one Guinness 0.0, which I was drinking. No cocktails, no special requests, and we were polite throughout. Despite this, the head barman avoided eye contact, appeared short-tempered, and came across as rude. On ordering another round, I was served regular Guinness instead of the 0.0. When I calmly asked if any were alcohol-free, he loudly said “no” and walked off mid-conversation. This felt dismissive and unnecessary, especially as the pub had started to quieten down. His attitude brought the whole mood down and ultimately made me leave. A real shame, as the venue itself is great, but that interaction overshadowed the rest of the evening.

23/08/2025: In viaggio a Dublino ho mangiato più volte in questo posto, sempre molto soddisfatta. Ottimo il loro piatto della tradizione fish & chips, per me in versione senza glutine con una perfetta panatura croccante e non unta. Atmosfera informale ma con stile e servizio attento e curato. Una nota particolare alla professionalità e simpatia di Simone!

22/08/2025: GOT A HAIR IN MY FOOD !!! WHEN I POINTED THIS OUT TO STAFF SHE SAID THE HAIR IS BLACK , AND YOU HAVE DARK HAIR . BUT OTHER STAFF HAD LONG BLACK HAIR ALSO . I GOT NO APPOLAGY NO SORRY NO NOTHING. SHE JUST WALKED OFF AS IF IT WAS MY PROBLEM NOT HER'S. RUDE , AND CHEEKY STAFF . UN TRAINED IN FOOD SAFTY OR CUSTOMER SERVICE. DONT EAT HERE , ITS A DUMP.

12/03/2025: El lugar era caótico debido al sistema en vigor. Conseguir comida y luego hacer cola para pagar significaba que la comida estaba fría, especialmente cuando la persona continuaba hasta que tomó siglos tratar de encontrar artículos. La comida tenía potencial para ser bueno, pero el servicio lo decepcionó.

06/12/2025: Both the cod and the hake were fantastic, with crispy batter and juicy fish. A generous portion at an affordable price. However, it's only for takeaway; there's no option to eat in. Highly recommended.

08/11/2025: Sorry to leave a bad review as usually the food is nice and fresh. We order today when the restaurant opened and got hard chips , stale batter sausages , chicken wrap with dried out goujans. I was so disapointed as the food is usually fresh but my order was definitely reheated food from day before . Very disapointed with the quality of food as it is usually fresh but not today.

25/10/2025: Portion sizes are great, delivery is fast enough but at times has been abit on the colder side, but the major fail and it seems its not limited to Giulio's is the fact the staff in chippers these days seem to have lost the ability to put salt and vinegar on the chips unless your standing in front of them reminding them salt and vinegar please. Even stating in the comments when ordering online extra salt and vinegar results in you guessed it..no salt and vinegar.

22/08/2025: Was there for all ireland football final .. didn't open untill 1230 .. can't believe they don't look for exemption for the 2 finals .. people queuing outside for 2 hours to get in ..

20/12/2025: Please do not eat out of this restaurant. I’m in bed with two days when I told the staff they said there’s nothing they can do. It was my problem. Please do not. My Kids is in hospital whatever you do do not eat out of this restaurant and I was forced to pay.

03/12/2025: Ordered a 10oz Ribeye - I estimate no more than 6 Oz steak delivered and very heavily salted, the side salad was very old. For the price charged I expected more.

10/11/2025: Called in one evening without a reservation and we're seated no problem. We are both vegetarian and knew that they had a vegetarian menu - this is not on the door outside so its handy to know! Some elements of dishes were not available but the food was really great, we both had starters, mains and desserts and yes, a little more pricey than we would usually go for, but worth it for a treat in my opinion. Atmosphere and service were wonderful!

28/10/2025: Always wanted to try this restaurant. Very sorry to advise but it was an extremely disappointing experience. Staff were not trained to the standard one would expect… food really poor quality. No atmosphere. 1st and last time here.
