Swagman

23/06/2025: Been to the swagman numerous times, never fails to deliver, service is second to none always well staffed, food is 5 star great portion sizes and lovely food would recommend a pizza or the chicken parm! Dale and his staff always up for a laugh! Great pub all round
19/06/2025: Dale was so accommodating as we were from Australia and dying to watch State of Origin in Australia. Dale even gave us coffee on the house. When we had left on the road to Doolin, we realised we had not paid for a delicious soup meal. We rang immediately offering to send through the money but were told not to worry and good luck.
Would highly recommend to anyone but particularly any Aussies travelling through.
Thanks again, Dale, for making our day.

11/07/2025: Amazing atmosphere with live music. Very kind staff. The pub has a very cool traditional wooden interior. We even got a separate dining room if that's what you want.The lamb stew was amazing. I just would have liked a bit more mashed patatoes in it. It was pretty busy, so if you are a bif group, I would recommend making a reservation beforehand. They immediately offered us a free bottle of cold tap water, which was very convenient. They have baby portions, which are a very nice thing to have. Especially if you have a baby so you don't have to share. I would definitely recommend this place when visiting Slego!
08/07/2025: It was alright. I had the classic H - it was good, but I had better. The staff and interior was very nice tho.

The Glasshouse

19/06/2025: We called in without a booking and we were luckily, but sullenly shown to a table that had not been wiped down. As I said, it was in a very busy restaurant. The menu was extensive & reasonably priced. My husband had the club sandwich and I the soup. The soup was delicious. The sandwich was dry with the chicken and bacon appearing pre cooked. Staff were unfriendly and plonked food in front of us. They were very busy but it was poor service.

04/04/2025: Supper tasty.... the food as ever is delicious...breakfast is also made to order 👌 👍 I think I need to treat myself more often 😋
20/03/2025: Had a vegan breakfast here and it was amazing! The chef was lovely and made it up for me and he checked if there was anything I didn't like.
It was absolutely delicious especially the mushrooms, and the walnut and aubergine hummus was an extra delicious touch!
Highly recommend!

21/06/2025: Read the reviews on Google and the menu for vegetarians/vegans looked amazing - seated immediately and brought to a table for two, but then completely ignored and unfortunately after 15 mins of waiting to be served only to have other people seated after us served before us, we left - unfortunately a bad service and a one star review

15/06/2025: Had a fantastic stay at the Riverside Hotel. The staff , especially Arthur, was amazing. He went above and beyond to accommodation us. He made our trip a memorable one .
The breakfast was great.
Looking forward to our return

14/06/2025: I spent around €18 at Osta Café and Wine Bar for a solo lunch, and it felt like money well spent. I ordered the toasted goat cheese and beetroot sandwich, which was rich and full of flavour — the kind of combination that’s clearly thought out and not just thrown together. Alongside it, I had a flat white that was smooth and strong, just right for a midday pick-me-up. Finished it off with a fresh scone served warm with butter and jam — light, crumbly, and absolutely hit the spot.
The atmosphere at Osta is calm and classy, but still very welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you can relax by the riverside and take your time. Whether you're stopping in for coffee or sitting down for a longer meal, it feels just right — not too formal, not too casual.
Service was solid too. The staff were friendly without being over the top, and they had everything out in good time. You can tell they’re used to regulars and treat new faces just the same — with a bit of warmth and a smile.

03/07/2025: Food was delicious! Their chicken cheese rolls are so yummy and they have the most delicious shredded chicken I've ever had! Service is quick and the staff are all so lovely :))
