10/12/2025: This is the best restaurant in Athlone. Expensive, but this is a different level of fine dining. Highly recommend for special occasion. Reservation required

18/09/2025: Where do you start, we spent a lovely lunch hour in an atmospheric Irish establishment. Foods great.

19/10/2025: My family and I went here for my birthday meal. The staff were lovely and very accommodating to our dietary requirements. The service was great very quick but still had great customer service along with it. We all ordered different food and were in agreement that our food was lovely. Great flavour and good portion sizing. The owner came over to talk with us and we briefly stated it was my birthday in a passing comment during conversation which they had taken more notice of then we realised as the staff came over with a surprise birthday dessert with happy birthday written on the plate which to us made a big impression of how much they care for their customers and truly do listen to what we say. Overall this was an amazing experience and we will be back again.

11/10/2025: Visited for a birthday lunch, we asked for all courses to come at once as one of us didn't want a starter and they were incredibly accommodating and everything came out really fast. Food was great and service was brilliant too, highly recommend

25/11/2025: This is a nice hotel. I rented a double twin room and I arrived later than anticipated. The woman at the reception was nice and helpful and I got my room right away. The hotel is complicated to maneuver while getting to the rooms but it has some nice featured rooms. It has a restaurant, a bar and a dining area for breakfast. And other areas that are nicely decorated. My room is nice and fairly large. One thing I noticed when I got into my room was that it was overly hot. Almost like a warm sauna. I looked at the radiator in the room to dial down the temperature and then I noticed that the dial was broken. I went down to reception and they offered to move me to another room. I declined and just opened the windows to let the cold in. Mullingar weather is nice and cold at the moment with plenty of rain so it helped to even out the temperature. The room is nice and the beds are comfortable. The table and chairs are a nice touch but a little cramped for the space. The bathroom is nice and clean. There are nice touches that make this hotel a nice place to stay. I highly recommend a visit.

19/07/2025: Our B&B host recommended this place to us, and we were very happy we went there. It was very busy, but the staff worked hard and we got served quite quickly. The food was great, as was the atmosphere. Plus, as always outside of Dublin, we were nicely surprised by the prices 😉

12/09/2025: The food was very good. Two different fish dishes from the daily special, both deliciously prepared. The service was friendly but a little uncaring, which was a shame.

11/11/2025: I can't comment on the hotel itself, but we came to Bailey Bar on the recommendation of Timmy from Sean's Bar, and we were so glad we did! The welcome from a funny waitress was perfect, and we had a wonderful meal. I ate one of the best hamburgers of my life, carefully homemade (and thanks again to the waitress for putting up with my fussy refusal of any greens in my burger 🤣). The place is cozy and feels almost like home. Don't hesitate to stop by if you're in the area.

24/10/2025: Stopped in for lunch and ordered the cottage pie. It was excellent! Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

19/10/2025: I had the pleasure of eating lunch at the lough Ree Inn this afternoon ,I'm dairy and Gluten intolerant, so it can be difficult eating out, but Gerry couldn't have done more to accommodate me, lovely meal...fantastic service, warm atmosphere....I'll be back...well done
