18/01/2025: Amazing food here, great variety on the menu, great location in Athlone (can nip into Gertie’s before and after for a pint), we make it a point to visit every year on the annual Athlone visit! Highly recommended

10/01/2025: Wonderful food and service this evening, Friday 11/01/2025. Myself and my wife had the “value menu” and we each tried separate starters, main courses and desert. We both loved each of the dishes presented. The service was excellent and the restaurant and toilets are extremely clean. Super, super value at €45 per head and we will be back.

28/01/2025: As always, the food was great. Very tasty selections came in sizeable portions and were reasonably priced. On this occasion they coped with a party of 26 on short notice. The staff were helpful, personable and efficient. Would highly recommend.

29/12/2024: Had the pleasure to stop off at Bracken's Friday evening along with my wife and my sister. Returning from a funeral in Dublin we were cold and hungry. Brackens certainly didn't disappoint. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we walked through the door. Given a comfortable table in a warm corner and supplied with a very full and interesting menu pretty much straight away. The lady did everything possible to ensure our comfort even offering to join a second table to ours if we were a bit crowded but we were absolutely fine. Some of the specials of the day sounded very appealing so we each ordered something different, we all got fantastic meals but special mentions has to go to my wife's dinner of baked chicken in chorizo sauce, we all had little sample tastes and it was to die for.. if we weren't out in company believe me the plate would have been well licked.🤭 We won't pass through Kinnegad again without stopping off here if we're on the hunt for something tasty.

07/01/2025: Went for Christmas dinner with my husband's work colleagues ,there was about 30 of us. The food was excellent, service was excellent and staff friendly, courteous and obliging.

23/11/2024: The service was fantastic, the staff is very accommodating. We had a room to ourselves with three tables. Everything was served together, and all special requests were made. The food, as always was very good. Thank you for a great night.

31/12/2024: Fab place, especially on a cold winters night. Lovely warm welcoming fires. Great food. Christmas decorations were fab. Service was really prompt. Food was really tasty. 3 courses in 1 hr 15 mins. Would definitely recommend.

20/12/2024: 5 STAR ALL ROUND ...WELCOME, SERVICE, FOOD, ATMOSPHERE, FRIENDLYNESS and COST Iv been here a few time with adult friends and family however today i decided i was bringing my wife and kids my sister and nieces and nephews and my mother in-law. In total a party of 11 on short booking notice. I had no doubt of the food quality or atmosphere of the restaurant i was a little wary of the kids but i had nothing to fear the staff were excellent top notch and extremely helpful and friendly top class service. Especially for the kids and its great for them to experience quality food and service with proper etiquette and friendly staff. With 6 adults most adults had full meals (3 course) some kids had starters and some had desert too booth .. It came in at less than 30 per head. Folks this is worth every penny and more. Thank you to all the staff for your kind welcome your amazing food and your professionalism. Top Tip The Wings are outrageous !!!!

05/02/2025: We stopped here for breakfast recently on our way to Sligo. Had heard great things and the food lived up to expectations. I had a really delicious french toast. I'll be back!

30/12/2024: We ended up here by chance at Lunch. The food is tasty and fresh. The only thing is that the fish could have been cooked a bit better, which is why we gave it one star. Location is a plus.

01/12/2024: We had a family lunch for 14 people for a birthday & anniversary celebration. The restaurant manager Pat could not do enough for us. He was so welcoming, personable and fantastic with all the kids. The food was delicious and so reasonably priced. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon and making the occasion so special. I’m looking forward to my next meal there. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

25/09/2024: Amazing quality food, service is very good also, staff very friendly. The only two things I would change there is the background music, for something more relaxed and classy, like instrumental classic music for example, and also some colour to the tables, like a center piece with flowers, even fake ones, to give some more visual appeal. These are just small details, but we will be back for sure, and very soon.
