01/02/2026: My saughter and I stopped by Scanlons in Kinnegad to try their famous breakfast. We were not disappointed!!! I ordered a breakfast roll and my daughter the full irish breakfast. Our tea arrived within minutes by a friendly waitress who had a chat with us. There was a few in the pub and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. I enjoyed the breakfast roll with bacon, sausage, egg and black pudding and the irish breakfast was as expected a plate loaded with bacon , sausage, egg, black and white pudding, hash brown , beans with toast. We had a feast!!! The food waz hot, delicious, and the tea was gorgeous, just what we wanted on a cold rainy morning. Less than 20 euro for the breakfast for two was fantastic. Service was quick and super friendly. Scanlons are now our go to place for breakfast but we cant wait to try their lunch menu andvtheir early bird A la carte dinner menu. 100% recommended.

11/11/2025: I can't comment on the hotel itself, but we came to Bailey Bar on the recommendation of Timmy from Sean's Bar, and we were so glad we did! The welcome from a funny waitress was perfect, and we had a wonderful meal. I ate one of the best hamburgers of my life, carefully homemade (and thanks again to the waitress for putting up with my fussy refusal of any greens in my burger 🤣). The place is cozy and feels almost like home. Don't hesitate to stop by if you're in the area.

24/10/2025: Stopped in for lunch and ordered the cottage pie. It was excellent! Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

31/01/2026: Ilia is our go to spot in Mullingar! Great food, nice chill atmosphere very reasonable price & lovely staff! Can confidently say i’ve never been disappointed would definitely recommend!!

21/01/2026: I am not a fast food fan. Had to stop here late evening on a road trip. Very busy. Very clean. Staff seemed pleasant and efficient. This is part of a large service station complex. You get all the usual Supermac and papa John pizza as will as an ice cream counter and a shop and deli and coffee station.

17/08/2025: Perfect place to stop on the way to sligo/Carrick from Dublin. Only just off the N4. Worth the small detour. Now I have found this place, I won't be going anywhere else! I ordered the Tortilla's from the special menu. Delicious! So filling. Came to the table within 10 mins of ordering. Fab!
