Al Fresco

08/06/2025: We had burrata and garlic bread for starters, and pizza, seafood spaghetti and ravioli for mains. Everything was amazingly good. The service was super friendly and very attentive at all times. We recommend it 100%, we will be back.
30/05/2025: They were able to sit us (group of 5) without a reservation on a Friday night. The positives stop there.
We were sat outside under a tree that provided freshly grated bird feces at a table that was not wiped down. No worries, the waitstaff who were giving their best “this is my first job” impression had no intention of cleaning it off. Moving on.
We had finished two bottles of wine before having our order taken (at least an hour in). The wine was good, but likely because they had nothing to do with it besides opening it.
The food was mid. Could be better, could be worse. Cherry on top was the order of bread that we placed resulted in 3 pieces of raw bread (literally dropped in a toaster and called it a day) for a table of 5.
Safe to say we didn’t stay for dessert. At least they were able to sit us on a Friday night with no reservation. In hindsight, not a surprise.

03/07/2025: Food and service was so nice
We definitely will be back!!!
29/06/2025: This is one of my favourite restaurants in Dublin. Usually order a takeaway but we decided to eat out today. Although there was a delay in our food coming out, the staff was well mannered about it. This is a small family run business so they have the right etiquette and ambience and also very intimate so they are extremely friendly. Shoutout to Daniel, he was absolutely pleasant as a staff. The food? Amazing. Real Authentic Italian! The wings are top tier and everything really just taste good takeout or eat in.

16/06/2025: Really good pizza. Prices are average for Ireland. In a previous negative review, I read that a customer complained because they refused to add chicken to the pasta. That’s actually a positive point, well done!
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the waitress was very kind, and the owner of the place was lovely as well.
24/05/2025: Went there tonight, the atmosphere was dead. Ordered bruchetta for Starters. Was chopped cherry tomatoes on cold burned toast. The ravioli for mains was the strangest thing I've ever seen. A pinky/grey sauce. Was average. My wife ordered a pasta and mushroom dish and asked for chicken to be added which they refused to do. She made pasta at home on Monday that would match the quality. With3 pints and 2 glasses of wine for drinks and average food it was 110 euro. The waitresses were lovely so I did leave a tip.
I don't think we'll go back.

La Scarpetta
Skerries
02/07/2025: Incredible Pizza & Authentic Italian Vibes at La Scarpetta!
La Scarpetta is hands down one of the best Italian spots I’ve been to! If you’re a pizza lover, this place is a must. The crust is perfectly thin and crisp with just the right amount of chew—clearly made with skill and passion. Each pizza is wood-fired to perfection, with high-quality, fresh ingredients that speak for themselves.
We tried the Special pizza with tomato sauce, spicy salami ,nduja, hot honey .The tomato sauce was rich and flavoured , the mozzarella was creamy and melted beautifully, and the toppings were generous without overpowering the balance of flavours. You can really taste the authenticity in every bite.
The Tartufo Nero dessert was the perfect balance of rich dark chocolate and creamy indulgence. The outer shell had a satisfying coca powder, giving way to a smooth cream , velvety center with just the right hint of bitterness from the dark chocolate and a touch of sweetness. Each bite felt luxurious and deeply satisfying. If you're a chocolate gelato lover, this dessert is non-negotiable – a true showstopper! I would come back just for this.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a touch of rustic Italian charm. The staff was friendly, attentive, and happy to walk us through the menu and wine pairings. We felt well taken care of from start to finish.
La Scarpetta has definitely earned a spot on our go-to list. Whether you're dining in or grabbing a casual pizza night, it's a five-star experience every time. Highly recommend!
02/07/2025: A firm favourite of ours in the past, the service has deteriorated recently while prices have gone up.

20/05/2025: Food was nice, service was good but the kids were charged for early bird menu when they only had garlic bread and margarita pizza plus 1 meat....this didn't add up to the price of the early bird so disappointed to be charged that and should have been charged the A la carte price
18/05/2025: Friendly staff, delicious food and mostly the pastas are a good portion per price.
Friendly staff, delicious food, and the pasta dishes are mostly a good portion for the price.
The only thing I didn’t like was the focaccia — it didn’t really resemble a focaccia; it looked more like naan bread. It was tasty, though, just not what we were expecting.
Also, if you don’t have a reservation, be prepared to wait a long time for a table or possibly be asked to leave, as tables are often booked — unless you go during the quieter hours

30/03/2025: Excellent!! We haven't been to this restaurant in a while, but it just gets better and better. Pastas cooked to perfection, tuna steak was delicious. Exceptional food, hidden away but well worth a visit.
29/03/2025: The food here is made with care. We usually get the calamari appetizer. It’s garlicky buttery goodness. Their prawn appetizer, gamberi in salsa, is also very tasty. You can’t go wrong with their pasta dishes. Our favs are the Cappelletti di Carne and the Tagliatelle alla Salsiccia. For dessert, their tiramisu “parfait” is gorgeous.

The Italian Kitchen
11/06/2025: The pasta was overpriced and poorly presented. I was disappointed.
27/05/2025: The food is just average. I've been in Ireland for 10 days and decided to stay close to the airport on my final day. The hotel receptionist during check-in asked if I wanted a reservation at the Italian restaurant. I thought it had to be good. I am disappointed this will be my last meal in Ireland. I should have taken a taxi back in to the Temple Bar area. Ive had several amazing meals in that area. I can't believe a fancy place like The Italian Kitchen could not compare to any of those smaller restaurants.
The Bruschetta was bland. The truffle dinner was bland.

30/04/2025: If your thinking of ordering from this place think again I ordered 2 plain cheese pizzas at half 7 this evening it's now 20 past 9 when we rang them 3 times we were told it was on the way each time, then their delivery doesn't even know the area delivering the food to a wrong address and didn't think to ring the phone number he had for me if I could give them no stars I would and no effort to fix the shit show of a situation just excuses stay well away don't waste your time
