14/12/2024: Had an excellent meal here. We were a party of 8 and we had a very enjoyable time. Staff were excellent, as was the atmosphere. It was our second visit and I would highly recommend That's Amore.

Lasagne is the best I have eaten outside of Italy.
Book early as it’s usually booked out.

28/10/2024: Nice venue and food was good but the service was shockingly bad. It took close to an hour for the starter to come out from the kitchen, followed by 50 minutes + for the mains. We decided not to order desert.
The waiter was pleasant and offered his advice on the menu when ordering but once the order was taken no follow up with our table took place. I have never had to do this in a restaurant before but on this occasion, I felt it appropriate to bring my dissatisfaction to the attention of the waiter. Almost 2 hours wait after ordering for 2 set meals is very bad and not one bit of an acknowledgment or apology was received.
Seating area was cold, very bad draft coming in from what seemed to be a back door but I can't be certain of this. Our table was for 2 and located close to the bar/stairs.
Again, the venue is nice and I enjoyed the food once it came out but overall, I wouldn't recommend this place. For the price of food which wasn't cheap the level of detail should be much better!!

10/11/2024: Very accommodating for my wife’s needs as she doesn’t want to eat certain things during pregnancy and really helpful with my young son and getting his food ready first etc…. Price was very reasonable food was very very good. Hapoy and will be back.

22/10/2024: Possibly the worst dining experience in my. Life time got a pasta dish and the pasta wasn't cooked sauces were tasteless and scabby wouldn't ever recommend anyone to eat here please asking you all nicely

If you're a larger group, you should make a reservation, but you'll definitely get a table for three people too.
You can also order meals to take away.
19/10/2024: Restaurant is beautiful and customer service very good but it’s fake Italian food!My sea food pasta was absolutely a joke,tasteless overcooked pasta and watery tomato sos.Prawns for sure frozen(probably from Lidl or any cheap supermarket).Pizza was ok and no complaints.Kids Meal for€16 another joke,few chips and meatballs with ketchup!!!!!!as a sos.We decide to don’t say a word because we was very tired,hungry and girls very friendly and positive attitude.Unfortunately very bad experience!

14/12/2024: I'll not repeat. Went there to eat at 5:15pm and had two pizzas and a cappuccino. The meal was decent but overpriced... However, what was really disappointing was that, while we were enjoying a conversation, the waiter told us to leave as he wanted to give the table to other customers. It was the first time that this happened to me...and I hope it's the last one. I really felt used as a cash machine... Bad experience
10/12/2024: First time christmas party ,food was amazing , the staff were very helpful and friendly atmosphere was very pleasant and it made for a fantastic night , id be going back after christmas , try it out you won't be disapointed ,and after you can try the bar down stairs

20/09/2024: My wife and I called in on the last Thursday of the third week in September shortly after 5:00 pm without a reservation
Restaurant was not overly busy and we were quickly seated by a very pleasant young lady
Great menu and great specials
We both had starters and mains
Wonderful authentic Italian dishes full of flavours
Two glasses of lovely red wine
And all served well and large portions and all for €72
Highly recommended
I will definitely be returning
Only one thing 🤭. My order was exactly as I ordered BUT Please write down my order … I don’t like my order / s being retained to memory

20/07/2024: Ordered food at 6pm and was told my meal would take between 30-45 minutes.
After 1 hour I went into the restaurant to see what the situation with my food was and was told to wait another 15 minutes and that I would receive a phone call when my order was ready to collect.
At 7:40 my order was complete.
Very poor customer service and no apology for the wait.
Plenty of other establishments to be spending your money.

17/05/2024: I lived in Balbriggan for a few years but never been here, used to buy my fish and chips elsewhere but I was there a week ago and thought to give it a go. I must say, the best fish & chips in Balbriggan, good size meal, the fish was perfect and the chunky chips too.... The place was spottless, very clean and tidy, The prices are very very fair,. I rather visit this place any day than going to borza in the main road.... On everything, atmosphere, cleanliness, PRICES, and the food. Its way better.

The Italian Kitchen
09/11/2024: It was a very inconclusive dining experience. Like many, we wanted to dine at “The Italian Kitchen” so as not to leave the hotel again. The prices offered were exorbitant at the brasserie, so we turned to this restaurant. Several points caught our attention: firstly, a bottle of water that was excessively expensive and systematically offered even though we asked for a simple carafe. Second, bread pays off, even as an accompaniment to salad! Allow between 5 and 7€. Limited choice of beer for the aperitif (no Guinness). Besides these downsides, the atmosphere was really not there. Although the service was fast, the staff was not particularly welcoming or smiling. Value for money also more than limited for very meager portions. We do not repeat or recommend this restaurant.
07/11/2024: Hidden gem within the Clayton Hotel. I wasn’t staying and we visited as a family of 5. We were well looked after and given the choice of table to allow space for our bugs.
Food was excellent, would highly recommend the carbonara. Will definitely call back soon.
