The staff were very helpful and friendly. My elderly parents go there weekly and are always taken very good care of.

26/07/2026: If you are lucky enough like we were to get a window seat on a beautiful sunny day, then, it's a lovely vista overlooking the sea and marina.
The staff who served us we both polite and patient as we pondered the menu choices.
We chose from the set and al a carte menu and although the portions were quite small, they were adequate when we added some sides.
The dishes were fresh and well flavoured and helped along by a nice bottle of wine and based on four sharing the guide price would be between fifty to sixty euro per person.
The atmosphere was nice and friendly and it's a popular choice so it was quite busy but we didnāt feel rushed.
Yes, it will be on our list when we next visit this beautiful area.
Malahide is a wonderful place to visit and has good travel connections to Dublin City using the DART Train Service.
The town has a pedestrianised main street with a wide selection of bars etc.
Definitely a great place to visit whether you arrive by yacht to its marina or by road or rail.

Love the menu, and on our last visit, I was very pleased with the food, the service, and the general buzz about the place!

07/07/2026: Nice little Italian restaurant in the middle of Malahide. The best thing about this place is he exceptional staff, very friendly and great service.
04/07/2026: Myself and my hubby ate here came across this lovely place on a walk .Amazing food really tasty and good prices .Staff were so friendly and very welcoming .Mirko (hope i spelt that correctly) who served us was lovely great laugh and very welcoming .
Would highly recommend this place will definitely be back .

I've worked in many pizzerias throughout my life, and the most expensive pizza on the menu was one topped with Culatello di Zibello (one of the most prestigious cured meats in Italy), and it cost ā¬18.
Three supplƬ for ā¬11 is also excessive, especially considering that in Rome and Milan you can easily pay much less.
That said, we ended up paying ā¬88 for one appetizer, three supplƬ, two pizzas (a Diavola and an 'Nduja pizza), two drinks, and two desserts.
In my opinion, that's an unreasonable price for a pizzeria. It's more in line with what you'd expect to pay at a proper restaurantāespecially if you had ordered a bottle of wine! š

13/06/2026: Very disappointing experience.
I made a reservation for seven people through the restaurantās website for 8:30 p.m. and received an email confirming that the reservation had been accepted. I replied immediately, thanking them and acknowledging the booking.
When we arrived, the maĆ®tre dā informed us that we did not have a reservation. He asked how I had booked, and I explained it was through the website. He then told me that I had not responded to confirm the reservation. When I showed him my reply, sent only moments after receiving the confirmation email, he simply said he had been too busy to see it.
What was most disappointing was the complete lack of accountability. There was no apology, no acknowledgement that this was their mistake, and no attempt to find a solution. When I asked what time they could seat us, the response was, āWeāre very busy, maybe 9:30.ā When we explained that was too late, he simply turned and walked away.
Again, there was no apology, no effort to help, and no concern that a party of seven with a confirmed reservation had just been turned away.
Fortunately, we crossed the road to Al Fresco, where the staff went out of their way to accommodate us despite us having no reservation. They found us a table, treated us exceptionally well throughout the evening, and turned what could have been a ruined night into a fantastic experience. We happily spent ā¬450 there and left a ā¬50 tip because the service was outstanding.
As local residents, we were genuinely surprised by how poorly this situation was handled by Il Sorriso. Mistakes happen, but how you respond to them is what defines good hospitality. Unfortunately, on this occasion, there was none.

27/06/2026: Decent hotel meal for the price, Halibut was flaky but the greens were "woody". Avoid the tap water and pay for the bottled. Server was not very attentive but overall what you'd eclectic at a mid range hotel restaurant.
09/06/2026: Rude staff. Very arrogant and ignorant. I can forgive the average Italian food. The attitude is what earns the one star.
