Sienna's
Malahide
26/07/2026: If you are lucky enough like we were to get a window seat on a beautiful sunny day, then, it's a lovely vista overlooking the sea and marina.
The staff who served us we both polite and patient as we pondered the menu choices.
We chose from the set and al a carte menu and although the portions were quite small, they were adequate when we added some sides.
The dishes were fresh and well flavoured and helped along by a nice bottle of wine and based on four sharing the guide price would be between fifty to sixty euro per person.
The atmosphere was nice and friendly and it's a popular choice so it was quite busy but we didn’t feel rushed.
Yes, it will be on our list when we next visit this beautiful area.
Malahide is a wonderful place to visit and has good travel connections to Dublin City using the DART Train Service.
The town has a pedestrianised main street with a wide selection of bars etc.
Definitely a great place to visit whether you arrive by yacht to its marina or by road or rail.
Best wishes to all the Staff, Joe
17/07/2026: Great that this Malahide restaurant is under new management and has made a positive impact on the choice of quality offerings to dine at in Malahide.
Love the menu, and on our last visit, I was very pleased with the food, the service, and the general buzz about the place!
We will be back soon...

Al Fresco
Malahide
09/08/2026: Bruschetta was pretty good. Pollo Al fresco was okay, chicken a little tough and sauce a little lackluster. Sauteéd potatoes were class. Staff were very friendly and attentive
08/08/2026: Terrible service, the waiter ignored us and took a long time to attend to us. He wasn't friendly at all, quite the opposite. The food was mediocre; we ordered fried squid as a snack, it came out soggy and the portion was very small. We were going to have lunch, but we decided to leave because we were so dissatisfied. I wouldn't go back.

Pomodorino Swords
Swords
25/07/2026: On our little tour of Ireland one of our stays was in Swords. This restaurant was recommended and definitely did not let us down. The food was really nice and the service was brilliant. Big 👍 from me
20/07/2026: 3 stars because the prices are absolutely outrageous.
€18.50 for a Diavola pizza…
I've worked in many pizzerias throughout my life, and the most expensive pizza on the menu was one topped with Culatello di Zibello (one of the most prestigious cured meats in Italy), and it cost €18.
Three supplì for €11 is also excessive, especially considering that in Rome and Milan you can easily pay much less.
That said, we ended up paying €88 for one appetizer, three supplì, two pizzas (a Diavola and an 'Nduja pizza), two drinks, and two desserts.
In my opinion, that's an unreasonable price for a pizzeria. It's more in line with what you'd expect to pay at a proper restaurant—especially if you had ordered a bottle of wine! 😂

Il Sorriso
Malahide
16/08/2026: Excellent food, friendly staff on great atmosphere!
29/07/2026: My daughter attended a birthday dinner with 14 teenagers . She is coeliac and ordered the pasta. When it arrived it was too hard to put a fork through it. She asked for it to be change and the manager told her that’s how they cook it ‘Al Dente’ . He was rude and refused to accept the fact that the pasta was not cooked. Gluten free pasta takes much longer to cook than regular pasta.
He embarrassed her in front of her friends and still charged her for the food.
This is unacceptable, bad management and not a good environment for a group of young people . Will not be returning

The Italian Kitchen
27/06/2026: Decent hotel meal for the price, Halibut was flaky but the greens were "woody". Avoid the tap water and pay for the bottled. Server was not very attentive but overall what you'd eclectic at a mid range hotel restaurant.
09/06/2026: Rude staff. Very arrogant and ignorant. I can forgive the average Italian food. The attitude is what earns the one star.
