02/09/2025: Pat Collins Bar in Adare was hands down our favorite meal during our entire ten-day tour of Ireland. It was everything I had hoped for in a great Irish pub, and it truly delivered.
The staff was absolutely lovely, and we especially want to thank Sarah, who was terrific—so welcoming and attentive. The atmosphere was incredibly comfortable, and what made it even more special was the clientele. The pub was filled with locals who were charming, fun-loving, and friendly, making us feel right at home.
The food was nothing short of delicious. I wish I had eaten like this throughout the whole trip! The bacon and cabbage was a standout dish, and the fish soup was simply sublime.
We loved this place so much and would happily go back again and again. Pat Collins is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic food and a truly wonderful, local pub experience.

29/07/2025: Sleep like a baby on clouds... when the clouds are made of quicksand
The hotel itself makes a decent impression – a friendly welcome, a really good and plentiful breakfast, coffee strong enough to wake the dead (in a good way).
But then came the room... and most importantly: the bed.
The duvet was less of a blanket than an exercise machine. Anyone who pulls it over themselves at night should be prepared to lose at least 3 liters of sweat the next morning – not because of bad air, but because this blanket is so heavy you could open a sauna underneath it. I briefly considered donating it to the Alps as a mobile avalanche.
The mattress? Well... it reminded me of quicksand. You sink at least 40 cm – no matter where you sit down. I lost my wife during the night and only found her again under the fold of the bed when I checked out. If you like adventurous travel, just climb into bed and see what happens.
But to be fair: The breakfast was excellent, the staff friendly, and everything clean. However, if you value a restful sleep, you might want to do some strength training beforehand—or bring a rope to anchor yourself in bed.

17/08/2025: Locale molto frequentato, ma tranquillo, siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti della cena. Ottimi i piatti di zuppa irlandese di pesce ed il classico Fish and Chips, gentilissima la ragazza che ci ha serviti.

16/08/2025: We celebrated a birthday dinner with a group of 10 at 1826 Adare, and the whole experience was simply outstanding. The food was professional, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The chicken melted in the mouth, while the pork was incredibly soft and tender — every dish left us impressed.
The atmosphere of the old cottage is warm and welcoming, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. A big thank you to the entire team — from the waiters to the chefs — for making the evening so special. The birthday boy is still glowing with happiness, and all of us left with smiles and full hearts.
We are more than satisfied and will definitely be back. An unforgettable evening with excellent food, great service, and wonderful mood — highly recommended!

30/08/2025: I visited this café one Saturday morning when I was staying in Adare for a wedding so it was new to me. They were very strange about giving me a table and asked was I having food but I hadn't seen a menu yet so I said probably yes but could I see a menu to decide if I would have something small or a hot breakfast. They then told me to sit outside and I looked around at the empty tables inside and asked could I not sit down and again they asked what food I was having, still no menu provided at this stage. The whole encounter was odd which is a shame as the food was lovely and a friend joined me moments later and we had a lovely breakfast together.

11/08/2025: Seated outside in the sun we ordered the Hummus Eggs from the breakfast menu. Really tasty combination. Good coffee and service with a smile. We've enjoyed The Good Room previously and this was even better. Great stop on a Dublin to Kerry journey

05/08/2025: Both myself and my friend ordered food, i asked for a taco sauce, cheese and bacon chips, he asked for curry cheese chips and we both got a battered sausage
Taco mice chips and chicken curry chips came out, when we said we didn't order this, we were met by a very rude and smart reply to the woman behind the desk "did ye not think it was abit expensive lads" and " I cant read minds" but i think from them exact words used to order that its not exactly rocket science but hey, maybe thats why they are frying chips.
No offer was made to remake the food, just smart, patronising remarks, no ownership of the issue.
We took the food as we were working in a local hotel for the night and were running out of time
Heard whispering to staff "they look very happy with my mistake"

Food is absolutely brilliant to the point I am so obese because I eat from this Chinese so much because it is so tasty and delicious. I would personally recommend the sweet and sour sauce in crispy shredded chicken, it is absolutely beautiful. This is the best Chinese Restaurant I have ever visited

Solo pizza

17/08/2025: Received a call that the driver was outside, perfect I'll go out so. Head outside and no one is to be seen, thought it's fine they might have preemptively called me to make sure I don't have them waiting.. twenty minutes later, three calls to the driver unanswered, one to the shop unanswered and then finally the shop answers. I'm welcomed to accusations that I wasn't outside and that the driver was waiting for twenty minutes, that the driver had called me multiple times and that I didn't answer. It was barely 2 degrees outside and my toes were going numb at that stage because I had in fact waited outside in my Pjs so they could see me. I told them that I left instructions in the 'instructions for the driver's' text box and also had my full clear address, street name and everything in it but was somehow told by them I didn't? I had my boyfriend call me to make sure I was receiving calls in the case that maybe the driver did try to call me, but nope. Boyfriend got through to me immediately. On the call with the shop guy I was told he would have to call the driver and get back to me, I said fine. Took over thirty minutes to get a call back from them, four actually so ya they had no problem getting through to me. By that stage I had already contacted deliveroo and gotten a refund and asked for the order to be cancelled so I don't know why they were trying to contact me after that. Deleted and blocked the numbers because I knew if I had answered the calls I'd have been given abuse by them and I'm not taking that for their own mistakes. I've been in customer care for years and am in absolute awe of how shocking that service was. This is by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had with anything like this. So ya cheap pizza, tastes good when it arrives but only if it does and be prepared to have to defend your honour if you try to contact them. 10/10 would NOT recommend.
04/08/2025: Wish I could give 0 starts i ordered a deal with pizza and kebab and asked for no veg in the kebab, they literally gave me no kebab and sent out sauce and chips instead, when I rang to ask what happened guy hung up and never called me back I would not recommend this place to ANYONE EVER AGAIN, this is not the first time. pack of disrespectful people.
