28/01/2026: The food is beautiful in Pat Collins bar and the staff are friendly and helpful.

24/01/2026: Quality bar, was in here for food on a Sunday evening. Place was very busy and not surprised why. Had the stew which was fantastic & better half had the Fusilli pesto pasta which was always pretty good

12/02/2026: Amazing place. Warmly greeted by the Bar/restaurant manager, very pleasant & very friendly. The place had a special energy, very calm , full of people having a great time. After I sat down and looked around everybody here looked how I felt. I came to enjoy dinner here and I was blown away. The team here are great and really make the place and energy memorable. The food was extremely tasty. I look forward to returning here sometime again in the future.

21/01/2026: Had a great experience! Stopped in for a cup of tea. Fireplace was a warming delight and the scone was great! The propietor was a lovely man who gave us a wonderful history tour of the building and explanation of Ireland's complex history as well as some great recommendations and just overall kindness! Loved it!

22/01/2026: We honestly couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place to host our wedding than the woodlands . From the very first conversation right through to the big day itself, the entire team went above and beyond to make everything flawless, relaxed, and truly special. The setting was absolutely beautiful, the attention to detail was incredible, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The staff were professional, kind, and genuinely cared about making our day unforgettable—not just for us, but for our guests as well. So many of our family and friends commented on how smooth everything ran, how stunning the venue was, and how wonderful the service felt. The food was exceptional, the rooms were gorgeous and comfortable, and the atmosphere throughout the day and evening was magical. We felt completely looked after, which meant we could truly relax and enjoy every moment of our wedding. Thank you to everyone at The Woodlands for giving us memories we will treasure forever. We’ll always look back on our wedding day with huge smiles and so much gratitude. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Rachael, James, Fiadh & Danny x

09/12/2025: I stayed with my mam last night and we had an amazing time. We bought the package deal of bed and breakfast, dinner and entry to the Mike Denver dance. We first had afternoon tea which was delicious and our waiter Evan was very friendly and kind. Later in the day we then had a Christmas dinner that was very tasty. The quality of the food and service in the woodlands is top notch. Mike Denver was a fun night and the room was also very comfortable, modern and cosy. The breakfast room was busy this morning but it was so well organised and again we couldn't fault the food or service. Thanks for a great stay 10/10. I have attended many events between birthdays/christenings here and it is always a good experience.

30/12/2025: Thought it'd be a nice spot to visit while we are going back to Sligo. Website says open 7 days a week. FB page doesn't say anything. Came here - closed. Absolutely shameful for any person responsible for PR and updating information. For sure won't come back.

15/02/2026: Had such a gorgeous experience at 1826 from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was spot on – attentive without being over the top. The steak was cooked to perfection – tender, juicy, and full of flavour. Absolutely delicious. And the raspberry cheesecake… honestly to die for the perfect way to finish the meal. Can’t wait to go back! 👌✨

31/12/2025: A wonderful and special dining experience! The staff worked non-stop to ensure drinks were filled, our food was delicious, and that our stay was perfect.

23/12/2025: Stopped by for a coffee and a snack in the middle of last-minute Christmas shopping. Flat whites were lovely and the brownies were so good - fudgy and rich and delicious. Atmosphere was great too and the staff were friendly.

22/01/2026: I stayed for the first time in the Dunraven Arms over the weekend on a 2 night trip with family. The rooms , facilities and evening menu where all brilliant, what let this hotel down was its breakfast which was missing prominent items and luke warm at best. Its staff also let it down, the bar staff where absolutely useless, with 3 of them taking 20 plus minutes to serve 1 table with 3 pints and a half bottle of wine, the breakfast staff where also a let down, when items where ordered such as tea, it never arrived. While the hotel itself is very nice and has great character , the staff leave a lot to be desired.

20/01/2026: For My birthday my mom.booked a hotel very last minute only 130euro for one night, we got a lovely big room number 41 with cute garden view, huge bed , TV , shower , bath and two sinks!!!! we also went swimming pool and sauna . Unfortunately there's no steam.room.or jacuzzi. Lovely vegan dinner ( chickpea and lentils dish and the chips are best in the world ) very comfy bed, Free room service 24-7, so I called a few times for free teas and coffees , I really loved it and felt special on my birthday, staff were so nice , and I had amazing vegan breakfast ( mushrooms sourdough bread, olive oil ,spinach, broccoli,sesame seeds , very salty, but very tasty, fresh juices , fruits , etc, tea ,, coffee, oat milk, A huge selection then we went swimming pool sauna and free aqua aerobics class at 10am Monday morning .check out is 12 noon.which is perfect.
