The best restaurants in Adare

29/11/2024: this review as everybody should watch out I visited this restaurant with my family. And the food was completely appalling. The staff was very rude. We were waiting over 20 minutes for our drinks the manager was completely an utterly rude the food was like it was ready for 20 minutes before before giving it out my daughter dropped a fork on the floor and asked for a new one and the manager was completely rude it was an accident. And I can’t describe in words how rude he was. The owner was completely appalling Michael Collins. I would advise nobody to visit this restaurant.

29/11/2024: Extremely helpful, had an issue with some vouchers I bought. Joe on reception sorted it out immediately. Very friendly and great service.

28/10/2024: The setting is really nice, service good, starter (scotch egg) delicious, dessert delicious,but €42 for a steak no better than one I'd pick up in lidl is an absolute scam. Its on me for not trusting my usual instinct which is to not get steak out (especially when it comes covered in pepper sauce - good steak shouldnt need it) but the place has a good reputation so I expected great things, especially at that price. It wasnt bad, a bit overdone but it was ok, but it felt like charging that is taking advantage of their good reputation. Spoiled a nice experience otherwise

22/11/2024: Nice place but we could not get service. We go seated immediately, with menus, but sat there for 15 minutes without getting any service whatsoever. Waitresses were gabbing with cooks and other customers, but avoided eye contact with us. Maybe they don’t like out of towners. Not sure what the issue was but we eventually just left.

19/08/2024: Sean greets customers, seats and visits them… This is personal and intimate in a way that businesses rarely are. I had the steak and it was very good….actually cooked to order. Prices reasonable, place is personable…. Great pick!

02/12/2024: Attended here for a wedding. First of all the lift is far away from the reception if you have your hands full you would struggle to keep it all to walk a good bit through corridors to find the lift. €165 was taken out of my account straight away weeks before the event and if it had to be cancelled it had to be 4 days notice. This is a bit much. Also when you check in you pay €50 extra so if they find a fault or not happy with the room the way it was given back e.g found something damaged this €50 would cover the cost of damage. This had to be paid by credit card and not cash. My room was lovely with a lovely walk in shower. A double bed made up with 2 single beds which were high. Each single had it's own duvet which was a nuisance when sharing a bed and even you had to shake the duvet out before getting into bed to make sure you would have enough. Talking about a bad night sleep I was not long in bed when the fire alarm went off at 3am and again at 6am. No apology was given or they couldn't give a discount for the inconvenience caused. To say I was delighted to be leaving early to get back home where there be no false alarms. Breakfast not great, original sausages would be tough, rashers were smokey, you would have to ask for more butter, and if you wanted rashers or fried or poached egg for breakfast this had to be ordered as it wasn't available in the self service self catering. I had 2 dealings with 2 waitress in the breakfast setting one who hadn't great English and another her name was Bridget was amazing I dealt with her for other queries and she helped my parents to. As for the receptionist Sara definitely hasn't the personality to be dealing with people in front office. Very abrupt very interrupting and no other staff would be able to help any other customers out but she would butt in. She was under pressure the day of the wedding at check in and her personality showed here as well as when people checked out. The bar service was shocking bad very slow. The only thing that was good was the room but definitely €165 was expensive for the beds that were got along with the duvets and not to mention the fire alarms going off. It was the talk of the breakfast dining area the next morning. Also the parking is very scarce here definitely can't cater for a large crowd.

28/11/2024: We wanted to stay in the Adair area. The location was excellent, walkable to all the local restaurants and stores in the area.

21/11/2024: Won't be back not happy with the price and what we received in return...overrated and overpriced

16/09/2024: Sunday dinner for a couple one week ago. We were curious about the wood fired oven 🧐 Fancy garlic bread with cheese to start and the pizza: chicken, wild mushrooms and truffle mayo 🤤 (photo), all amazing. If you like a relaxed atmosphere and different flavour pizzas I would recommend. The staff were kind and friendly. Just the waiting time to order the final espressos ☕ shouldn't be so long but it couldn't bothered the experience.

29/11/2024: Highly recommend this restaurant for date night, or dining with family and friends. Food service and atmosphere certainly ticked all the boxes.
