The best restaurants in Limerick

06/01/2026: Easily the best run bar and venue in Limerick City. A haven for mature punters who appreciate alternative sounds and laid back atmosphere. I've not tried the food but the menu looks enticing.

06/01/2026: We attended a Hermitage Green concert. The members of staff were fantastic.

30/01/2026: Such a fab meal - food and service was 10/10. Anna was our waitress and was lovely, other staff were very nice and brought out candles for my brothers birthday - would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back.

17/12/2025: Such a good idea porridge with foamy milk and the strawberries. Waiter was lovely, short and white hair. Good value.

02/01/2026: A good 👍 pub. The management and staff are down to earth friendly people. A good selection of craft 🍻 beers. The last time I was in there they had a count down digital ⏰ clock to the ⛳ Golf Ryder Cup in limerick Adare.

12/02/2026: I had a wonderful one-night stay at the Absolute Hotel in Limerick and couldn’t have been more impressed. From the moment I arrived, the reception staff were exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and efficient, making check-in smooth and genuinely pleasant. The room itself was spotless and beautifully presented – everything felt fresh, modern, and extremely well cared for. The attention to cleanliness was outstanding, and it made for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. To top it all off, the full Irish breakfast the next morning was excellent. There was a great selection, everything was perfectly cooked, and the quality of the ingredients really shone through. Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend the Absolute Hotel to anyone visiting Limerick and would happily stay again.

01/02/2026: Top class venue with exceptional value for Sunday lunch..€15 for main course and dessert with plenty of options available. We enjoyed beef & Guinness pie, fish n chips and chicken burgers. Service very efficient from lovely friendly staff. A popular spot for very good reasons!

08/02/2026: Absolute disgrace of a venue. Myself and two friends were there a week ago to catch up over a drink. When ordering our second pint we were told we were no longer being served as we had made a “bet” on who could pull a female member of staff. Bare in mind one of my friends is engaged, and the other is emigrating to Australia with his partner. Our conversation had consisted of slagging eachother for losing pool earlier in the day. The staff member would not even hear us out as we tried to explain that perhaps they had the wrong group of men and was rude and dismissive. I have never been so insulted in a premises or utterly embarrassed. I will never be back.

16/11/2025: Went for brunch on sunday, got the simple avo toast. Bread was so old i could not cut with knife, chef decided to add almost 20 tomatoes thinking its a good idea, but it wasnt. Food was dry and not tasty. cutleries smelled like egg.

19/01/2026: Great restaurant, I absolutely recommend this place if you are in Limerick for a weekend. Great service, atmosphere and food.

14/01/2026: We went in December, it was quite busy, but everything was exceptional. The food was to die for, we had steak and the chicken, we could taste good quality ingredients, not extra seasoning or salt, just very well cooked. The flourless cake with pistachio ice cream just finished the evening perfectly. The waiters and the manager were very attentive.

12/02/2026: I didn’t actually stay at the hotel, but I had to leave a review because the service honestly caught me off guard (in the best way). The waiter who looked after me was unbelievably kind from the very start. Always smiling, checking in without being over the top, and just genuinely making sure everything was grand. You could tell he actually cared. And his smile I’m not even exaggerating it could light up the whole place. It’s the kind of thing that puts you in a good mood for the rest of the day Fair play to him. Service like that makes all the difference.

09/03/2026: Having been to Hamptons numerous times over the years I found the service was very poor and the restaurant was not that busy. Forgot our first drink order so had to remind the waitress's after a 15 min wait and only brought my wife's drink for second drinks order so had to remind them again after 5 mins to bring my drink. Seated 1hr 20m before main course arrived. Ordered desert (Chocolate Bombe) and for my wife and she decided to go to the toilet immediately after ordering as the first two courses were slow but the dessert arrived instantly and I asked the waiter could he hold it till my wife returned from the toilet but there was a language barrier and I gave up and told him to leave it. Food as always was excellent but the staff seemed more concerned with VVVVIP'S which were arriving. The lady on the table beside us obviously had major issues as they kept on apologizing to her and complimented her meal even though she took what was left home in a Doggie Bag so it obviously wasn't that she didn't like the food. Based on last nights experience I would be reluctant to return as it is not a cheap restaurant so you would expect a level of service which was not apparent last night. Reluctantly I did leave a TIP as I felt for the girl serving us as she was so nice but was obviously new but the poor service was from other people including the Kitchen.
