15/02/2025: This was the best meal I have ever had!!! I had the Italian mixed grill and a forest fruits cheese cake for dessert. I have eaten in some of the best restaurants in London and Birmingham and they were not a patch on Al Muretto. Would eat there Seven nights a week!

16/12/2024: Nice, reasonably priced hotpot (both the veggie and the regular one), lovely cakes and treats, and friendly staff. What more do you want? Recommended.

22/11/2024: I really want to keep this under the radar. So it's fantastic coffee and treats are not for you. The friendly helpful staff are just too nice. And don't have their sausages rolls. Otherwise, there won't be any for me. So just don't go there back up and try the circle k up the road.

16/01/2025: Fabulous experience. This has been my first priority in food since the time i visited it first time. Be it burger or chips or the service, everything is amazing. Well done keep it up.

04/01/2025: We ordered fish and chips a few times, each time passing through Castlebar and it was always great -to excellent. So 5 stars for that. The customer service is also great, with the staff making good eye contact and being mannerly. The donner kebab I ordered this week was dreadful, just a big clump of mayonnaise mixed with plain iceberg lettuce, and a few sorry rinds of grey meat. Virtually tasteless, and small, definitely not good value. Perhaps a bit of staff training in a turkish donner kebab place could work wonders. 1 star for the kebab...

12/01/2025: The Pizza is average. It could be and should so much better coming out of a woodfire and for the price of €17. What a shame. Tamato sauce sparce and tasteless and the toppings are sparce and tasteless. For the price it should be better. Chips were hard and tasted reheated.

13/12/2024: Two girlfriends and I went to Bar One last night. We enjoyed it all so much, the comfort, ambience and really good service. The food was delicious, two had cod special and I had curry. All dishes were amazing. A particular mention to our waitress Averil, she was so efficient, upbeat and pleasant. I would highly recommend Bar One

29/11/2024: Been here a few times over the years when travelling through. Had a great burger this time. Pizzas have always been good in the past as well. Great food, great atmosphere. Always happy to go back here when passing through Castlebar

10/02/2025: We visited the restaurant on Sunday. Very nice place, delicious food and professional charming staff. Highly recommend it. Perfect scallops, delicious daily special(fish dish) and tender steak also delicious coffee. Thank you Peter, we will be back :)

12/01/2025: Having read the many excellent reviews, we were really looking forward to our visit. We were met on arrival by Peter who was very professional & pleasant. Dining Room & tables looked very nice, we were seated at the window as requested but very quickly realised heat was provided by a super ser gas heater so we kept our jackets on, it was cold....not a great start. Food arrived, presentation of all dishes was good but things went downhill from there... scallops were tasteless and drowned in a sauce. Salmon again tasteless, steaks looked good on presentation but flavour was missing, pepper sauce was a gravy with perhaps a peppercorn thrown into it...all the veg was cold. We were so disappointed, Alex our waiter was a nice lad and carried out his duties well. Peter did not return until our mains were finished, though most was still on the plate but no query ad to why !!!!. Perhaps we just hit a bad night, proper heating, hot & tasty food would have made such a difference to this interesting establishment.

24/11/2024: Always lives up to expectations for a great value. The staff and Joe himself are always great staff, welcoming, accommadating any needs, and then the food and drink here are better than anywhere else. Would always recommend to all.
