The best restaurants in Monaghan

14/10/2024: Can't say enough about the Batch Loaf. 5 stars all around. Food was excellent, service was exceptional a lovely friendly atmosphere. The decor was bright but egalantly tasteful. Highly recommend. We were having a 40th birthday meal. Thank you Batch Loaf. Well worth a visit.

11/10/2024: Place with beautiful decor, intimate style. The food is well served and in good quantities. The staff is super attentive and concerned about the customer. Some people were talking very loudly, completely partying, which somewhat spoiled the atmosphere that the restaurant provided (which is why it was awarded one less star) but other than that it was impeccable. We were offered dessert due to a mistake with the main course but no big deal. We loved it and will go back.

31/10/2024: This is one of the best restaurants we have had the pleasure of dinning in, if in monaghan a must place to go to eat, we were not starving, but loved what we got to eat, fresh and perfectly cooked, great staff, we even had dessert because they looked lovely, and they were!! Clean and lovely decorating, 9% vat but not to expensive before that, can't wait to back again.

27/10/2024: So delicious 😋 best resturant I ever has.. love sweet potato 🥔 gnocchi vegan and aubergine 🍆 red kidney beans 🫘 stuffed. So yummy 😋

17/10/2024: We had lunch here on Thursday around 12pm. We had the curry, chicken caesar wrap, and wings. All food was good but a little simple, nothing fancy and average portions. The decor and restaurant was nice and a good location.

Every course was an absolute delight, showcasing the finest flavors with impeccable presentation. The food was truly exceptional, but what makes each visit unforgettable is the outstanding customer service. The entire staff is warm, attentive, and highly knowledgeable, which really elevates the dining experience. Special mention goes to Daniel, who went above and beyond for us last night. Since we don’t eat red meat or pork, he carefully checked every detail of the menu, even down to the bread and butter, to ensure everything met our preferences. His dedication and attention to detail were so appreciated. The team at Snaffles is a real credit to Castle Leslie, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended for a memorable evening!

30/08/2024: Had a very impressive takeaway from here last week. Definitely the best Indian in Monaghan at the minute. Had the chicken rogan josh with sweet nan. Very tasty the nan bread was delicious. Very happy costumer.

27/10/2024: I drop into Pocono every 2/3 weeks on a regular trip from Donegal to Dublin with my daughter for a coffee and a sandwich and i must say that the sandwiches are top notch. ( made with McCloskey bread) The staff are very friendly and attentive and always have a smile. Glaslough is a peaceful detour on my journey and i get to enjoy a nice coffee and grub while passing through. Neville & Clodagh

18/10/2024: Such a gorgeous little cafe/grocery shop down the road from the beautiful Castle Leslie. Homemade treats and ice cream, delighted I stumbled across it. Staff are super friendly too. If you're in the area for a wedding or passing through definitely stop in.

21/07/2024: Not enough Stars! Amazing American breakfast! Was able to sit outside and have pupochinos with the dogs. They even gave the dogs water as it was a warm day. Service was very quick... class

15/08/2024: Great spot for a quick coffee. The coffee is rich and smooth with the usual brews available. It is takeaway only and uses compostable coffee cups. There are some snacks available and artisan bread is delivered on Fridays. Service is quick so you can grab your coffee and go. Plenty of street parking available.
