The best restaurants in Offaly

19/02/2025: My wife and I dropped in here yesterday for dinner at luchtime.Everything was top class.An excellent dinner and dessert at a reasonable price.The staff were courteous and friendly.Very handy with a car park just opposite.Highly recommended!

12/02/2025: Stopped in here for good pub grub as have heard good things! However, what we got wasn’t up to the great standards people rave about. I ordered the lasagna, my partner got the stir fry and we got chicken wings to share. Chicken wings, couldn’t be faulted lovely and crispy. Lasagna was horribly dry, as if they attempted to heat it up and melt the cheese at the same time, with no clingfilm over it..so the mince dried out completely and clumped together. If I hadn’t of waited 15 mins already I would have sent it back. As for the stir fry, my dad’s old leather boots are of similar texture-super dry, to the point that if not washed down with a fizzy drink would definitely pose a choking hazard. My partner had enough and decided to wash it down with a cold pint of Heineken 0.0, Shur what could go wrong right? No. Glass clearly hadn’t been washed out properly or they had lemon fresh tablets in the dishwasher, Heineken with a hint of citrus! Not so yum! Over all, didn’t cause a fuss but wish I had of because the food was just not up to par at all. Lovely staff, could be more attentive but hey! Who wants staff checking in on them anyways👌

11/12/2024: It's a farmer's market with a decent variety of goods. It's definitely worth a visit.

08/02/2025: Best kebab place in all of Ireland, food is tasty, staff is friendly. Orders tend to be done quite fast once you order.

27/08/2024: Go to is always hazelnut latte, and every time it's made perfectly. Staff are always friendly and prompt. Nothing to complain about. Highly recommend for a coffee on a journey or on a nice day

18/09/2024: Im am personally very dissapointed i went with my 2 kids cillian and luke. Lukes chips were old and he was crying cillian had hairs in his ice cream and i ordered a pizza and got no pepporoni or no tomato sauce.

25/03/2025: I ordered a 9oz Ribeye Steak advertised to come with chips, I received roughly 8-10 chips, onions way over cooked. I asked for a rare steak and received a medium-well to be charged €26 for this is an absolute joke. The steak had no flavour, outsides burnt not cooked to request and the tiny amount of chips that came with it. The only thing I would recommend good out of this experience is the pepper sauce and even at that that’s just me trying to mention a good thing. Food also came with the tray full of oil the food was swimming in

09/10/2024: Lime tree. I don't know how you can eat this crap? They don't even know what sauce means, instead of sauce they pour some water which then leaks out of the kebab. The sauce has to be thick, not like water... It's not tasty and it always makes me feel sick and I will never eat this crap again

25/01/2025: Great place for a drink. Friendly staff and no bother getting a drink even when they are busy. Lovely pub with friendly punters as well.

29/12/2024: The Chinese food was quite enjoyable, featuring flavors that were impressive and satisfying. However, I would love to see a wider variety of options available on the menu to enhance the dining experience further.

13/01/2025: Sadly, this cafe is deteriorating. The floors and tables tend to be sticky, and the worst of all, the coffee is not great. Come on Quigleys, sort it out.

23/01/2025: Toni's chipper in Birr always had the highest quality of food but has seriously deteriorated of late ..and has become expensive.... had a lovely meal in a local hotel last week for a little cost more than the chipper... And was top class..staff in this chipper were not so friendly ... Service was fast and premises was very clean....but food and prices are off my list for now. Bring George back.

28/10/2024: 3 people ordered. All 3 of us disliked our meals. Was edible, but not good. Service was good, semi friendly staff. Will not be going back.

23/02/2025: Phoned for a takeaway. Told it would be ready in 15 Minutes. It was very busy when I got there. Was served by a young guy straight away. Tom L. Never stopped working he was so fast and polite.

06/02/2025: Food ok, portion sizes good. Prices are bit much as are most takeaways in 2024 2025. Restaurant is freezing cold though. Could invest a bit more in making the place more warm. Every person sitting in the restaurant had a big coat on. It was 3 degrees outside.
