12/06/2026: Myself and my father come here atleast once per week sometimes twice, food is always very tasty, nice sized portion and the price is good. The staff are also lovely and always welcome you with a smile! Recommend if you want a nice evening takeaway!

08/05/2026: It’s the best Chinese take away in Edenderry highly recommend although they can be slow picking up the phone sometimes due to inexperienced staff taking orders which in fairness isn’t a big deal. Highly recommended

07/02/2026: Stopped in for lunch (both coeliacs) and were both very impressed. Husband had the curry and I had the turkey and ham. The meals were hot, tasty and plentiful. Very impressed.

26/01/2026: Last week I ordered a €13 vol au vent dinner. It came with 1 vol eu vent case, 1? I may as well have ordered chicken nuggets and chips with some white sauce. Ya wouldn’t wanna be craving a vol au vent dinner cause ya won’t get one. Tasted grand though with chips

20/06/2026: The people who work for Flynn's bakery are always so friendly and warm. I've loved their fresh cream buns all of my life. They still use dairy whipped cream, unsweetened as it should be, and are the real deal. Their sausage rolls are delicious, also the same ingredients for as long as I can remember. My family always enjoy their baked goods, generous Irish breakfasts and brown soda bread. Prices have remained reasonable. Whenever I'm home I go there several times a week as I'm grateful for their quality ingredients and tasty options. I'm always greeted with a friendly smile.

27/03/2026: Would not reccomend. Found human hair in black forest cake. Brought to attention of counter staff who gave refund though no follow up from manager despite being asked for my number.

11/05/2026: A lovely café with a great team. We were there on a Sunday morning and service was incredibly fast. Many locals were getting their breakfast to go. They also had some gluten-free options. We really enjoyed our meal.

22/02/2026: Very disappointing experience and even worse customer service. I ordered spicy wings and a mixed kebab with no chilli sauce, but received plain wings and a mixed kebab with chilli sauce — completely wrong. On the next order that we placed, the meal included a drink that I paid for, and they didn’t include it at all. When I contacted them, they admitted they forgot the drink, but then responded in a rude and dismissive way, saying things like “U not paid millions, just 2€, nothing.” This is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to a paying customer. It doesn’t matter if it’s €2 or €20 — if I paid for it, I should receive it. This isn’t the first time they’ve messed up orders either. I have screenshots of the messages as proof. Incorrect food, missing paid items, and rude customer service. Completely unacceptable. I will not be ordering from here again.

12/03/2026: Ordered vegetable chow mein, a very basic dish to get right, it was watery and bland, not to mention it had no colour, like they didn't even use soy sauce. This is my second time trying this takeaway and I was just as disappointed, last time the dish was also watery, seemed like they didn't use proper ingredients and vegetables have just been unfrozen. Would not recommend.

26/02/2026: Went to konglam for a take away last night. The young lady behind the counter was so helpful and pleasant. I think her name was Kate. The food was amazing and I would highly recommend as the best Chinese in Birr

13/04/2026: I don't usually write reviews about establishments unless my experience has been exceptionally positive, but on this occasion I feel like I must give my opinion for the opposite reason. I brought my 3 young kids here one Sunday as they much prefer the food here compared to other fast food restaurants in the town. When we arrived, the place was packed with young teenagers, so we decided to leave and come back in half an hour. When we returned, some of the crowd had left but it was still pretty busy. We ordered our food and the guy behind the counter was polite and professional, and got our food together without much fuss, even while trying to juggle food prep and manning the till. This is a common theme here which makes the service painfully slow. Certainly not fast food. Once we got our food, it was time to find a table. There were 3 available, one filthier that the next. Covered in sweet wrappers, spilled drinks and food packaging from a nearby chipper. We made do with the table we had as it was clear that the guy behind the counter was having a hard enough time serving food without also taking on cleaning duties. We ate our food, and had to put up with a large group of 10-13 year old's shouting and swearing and explaining to each other about various adult content they had seen on the internet. All the while, running to and from the local chipper and bringing food back to Subway to eat it and leave chips, curry and wrappers all over the table. Clearly this group should have been moved on, but with only one member of staff working (another guy came in during our visit but disappeared into the back room without even asking the guy at the counter if he needed any help) and clearly overworked at that, I did not expect him to have to deal with the situation. We ate our food in a hurry and had to leave, as even my kids were disgusted at the behaviour of the others in the restaurant. The last few times i have come here, my experiences have been worse and worse and I think, on this occasion, it may be my last visit. The restaurant is chronically understaffed and it is having a huge effect on its customers.

01/07/2026: The food is delicious, the portions are large, but the cleanliness of the toilet needs a lot of work. There is no mirror. Because at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, when there were almost no people in the hall except us. The manager was clearly absent. Because the toilet was clogged with toilet paper. And the next time I visited this establishment, I didn't even dare to go in there to wash my hands. So I hope you will improve.

21/06/2026: I went here to order a super man's 5 oz burger, I was to it wasn't available and that I had to choose one of the limited options they had available, pre made sitting out for ages. This was several hours before it got busy, night of the day of the week. Staff was exceptionally rude as well, as if how dare I ask them to make me a burger. Went down to Alkebabish who were only happy enough to give me what I asked for.
