12/03/2026: Ordered vegetable chow mein, a very basic dish to get right, it was watery and bland, not to mention it had no colour, like they didn't even use soy sauce. This is my second time trying this takeaway and I was just as disappointed, last time the dish was also watery, seemed like they didn't use proper ingredients and vegetables have just been unfrozen. Would not recommend.
26/02/2026: Went to konglam for a take away last night. The young lady behind the counter was so helpful and pleasant. I think her name was Kate. The food was amazing and I would highly recommend as the best Chinese in Birr

04/02/2026: Food was ready when I went in and the lady was pleasant my only grievance was I asked for sweet and sour dips and charged 1.05 for three I feel on big orders say over 25 euro dips should be free apart from that everything was good đź‘Ť

09/04/2026: Food was the worst ive ever had. I ordered chicken the blood was still running out of the chicken when we were served it then no refund!!!! My wife o4dered a burger chips and onion rings the burger was cold and the onion rings were burnt. I use to enjoy tonis but ill never set foot in there again. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! An update to my review I ended up with food poisoning its now 2 full days since my visit to Toni's and slowly the vomiting and diarrhoea is beginning to ease. Ive lodged a complaint with the food safety authority. Again avoid this business at all costs
31/12/2025: Where do I begin, let’s start with the vile long skinny bettered sausage.. I could’ve used it as a weapon which was very tempting, I’m absolutely appalled with what the woman put in front of me, I’m absolutely sure my pet dog wouldn’t even bother with it, daylight robbery to add, the chips were like stones, revolting food and staff, doesn’t deserve it’s reputation. Not entitled to its custom. Health inspectors need to call in. I can’t get my head around how they’re getting any customers at all. If you’re looking for the easy way out come to Tony’s.

02/04/2026: I want to give 0 review, because of zero customer service. Waiting time is too long. Almost 1 hour 30 minutes for a very small orders. Staff is very rude when I ask about my order. Very disappointed
02/04/2026: This McDonalds is a disgrace. Normally I would see this fast food chain as a safe place to go for food but not Tullamores.
Firstly the floor is ALWAYS slippery and greasy it’s disgusting. Secondly the bathrooms are always a mess. I went to the bathroom and my stall door didn’t close properly it was “closed” but there was at least 3 inches of a gap left in the door. The lock to the door was VERY loose and there was no toilet paper. I went across to the disabled toilet so I could avail of that toilet paper and again the lock on that door is sub standard, it took me 4 attempts to properly lock it and then the icing on the cake no toilet paper.
I complained to staff and I got snuffed out of it. After spending my money there I got treated very very poorly. Don’t eat here

11/01/2026: Nice restaurant, good service. Food arrives very quickly. Quality of food is typical of Chinese restaurants in Ireland - bland meat sitting in gloopy sauce.
Extortionate prices - starters are all around €10, main courses €20 WITHOUT rice, which was an additional €4. €24 for main course in a Chinese restaurant is an absolute joke.
03/01/2026: It's very different from the type of Chinese restaurant I'm used to, and perhaps I didn't choose my favorite dish.
The service is fine, and the place is nice too. The mushroom and chicken soup was okay, the Cantonese chicken was too sweet for my taste; perhaps the Sichuan was more my style.

12/03/2026: Walked in for some quick bite. It was quick and that's all good about it. Place is shocking. Got kebab and chips meal. Kebab was suboptimal quality "meat" and some old lettuce with tiny bit of garlic sauce. Chips were salt and vinegar, maybe pretty standard but I do not take vinegar. Was not asked if I wanted any. Avoid at all cost!

04/01/2026: Great warehouse day sale today.
08/11/2025: Stopped in for food. Absolutely horrible. Place was really dirty, tables were filthy, had to ask to have it cleaned. Got some form of a ham ciabatta. It was dry and horrible. Also got sausage rolls, they could be bounced off the floor, son got spice box which was okay. Pity because the shop is fabulous but this restaurant is really bringing down the tone. Wouldn't recommend to anyone!

02/06/2025: Nos recibiĂł un encantador miembro del personal que nos llevĂł a nuestra mesa y tomĂł nuestra orden de bebidas.
Pedimos una korma de pollo, pollo enmantequillado que venĂa con arroz basmati y tuvimos pedidos secundarios de ajo y queso y mantequilla de ajo naan. Antes de nuestra comida nos dieron popadoms con el pequeño lado pedido y la salsa de mango de chile estaba delicioso!
Todo estaba delicioso, aunque el pollo con mantequilla no era nuestro favorito y el pollo se sentĂa un poco seco, pero en general la experiencia fue muy buena!

19/02/2025: Not a Italian food not good no veg for pizza when asked only meat and roasted peppers : I wouldn’t recommend this place at all as it’s over priced and food was reheated. The vegetable I got with my lamb Shank was soggy and over cooked . The roasted potatoes where very dry all seemed reheated. Defo wouldn’t return.
15/02/2025: We went for dinner in Balcone resteraunt last night , I ordered bruschetta for starter , what I was served was not in any way a resteraunt standard bruschetta , it was a cheesy garlic bread , garlic butter which with melted cheddar and two cherry tomatoes placed on top . This resteraunt is apparently an Italian resteraunt but even the carbonara I had for my main course was more like soup , it had a very nice flavour but definitely wasn’t anywhere near authentic carbonara . I nearly needed a spoon to eat it, it had onion and grated cheese on top which I thought unusual. We had an assorted dessert and they were fine . Service was extremely slow . I would not recommend this restaurant

04/02/2024: Please employ a proper chef with the necessary skills to prepare the food, had a horrible lunch there recently, also give the place a good clean, doesn’t give much hope to see Lidl salt & pepper on the table and Lidl cleaning products on the bar

13/01/2025: Sadly, this cafe is deteriorating. The floors and tables tend to be sticky, and the worst of all, the coffee is not great. Come on Quigleys, sort it out.
