18/11/2025: Lovely bar and nice setting beside the canal. Thought the portions were very small and I was still pretty hungry after a main dish. Cocktails are good and well served.

The Bakery at Acorn & Oak

15/08/2025: We had no booking but they were still happy to accommodate a party of 7. The food was delicious and the serve was quick and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant and hope to visit again soon.
04/08/2025: Solid take-away thin crust pizza after a day at the beach. The dough is more crunchy than chewy. The vegetable pizza has a good amount of toppings, and the cheese is evenly spread. All the ingredients are fresh except for maybe the jarred jalapenos which add a nice heat to the pizza.

10/09/2025: Went here on a recommendation and I couldn't have been more disappointed. Overpriced and under-baked cakes. âŹ3.90 for carrot cake which was stodgy, heavy and very clearly under-baked. Photos below. The bakewell was the a little dry and lacking in flavour. Haven't tried the apple tart but im desperately hoping it will be delicious to justify paying almost âŹ20 for as the rest went into the bin.
17/08/2025: My favourite cafe in the area. Staff are all really lovely and attentive. The sandwiches and salads are yummy and fresh, the coffee and cakes are great. Everything is very good value and always a relaxed atmosphere too. A small bench out the back to catch some lunch in the sun for summer days too, sometimes a furry friend even comes to say hello!

18/09/2025: Absolutely Delicious.. Authentic , carefully prepared .. I travel all around Ireland for work and I often get a Tikka Masala in the different places.
This was top of the list. Soooo Goood ! Also got garlic naan .. freshly prepared from scratch as well as the best poppadoms .. Couldnât recommend more highly. Thank you !

20/09/2025: Bought a sambo here today. Ham, cheese , tomatoe and some mayo. The lady serving me (Dora) was too busy to listen to what I wanted and had to tell her three times as she was so busy chatting to another customer. Got my sambo and was charged âŹ6.50. Thatâs a disgrace and shame on Flynnâs for Charging this Exorbitant price. Not my fault rents and rates have to be paid but thatâs the last sambo Iâll be buying there. Disgraceful
