15/12/2025: We had a wonderful experience hosting our Christmas party here. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. The staff were attentive throughout the evening especially Martin and Elaine made sure our whole group felt looked after. We would definitely recommend this place

18/07/2025: Avant la visite de l’EPIC Muséum, nous nous sommes arrêtés pour manger un fish and chips. Belle adresse pour cela. Avec une pinte de bière pression IPA. Bon le rapport qualité-prix est moyen car l’addition s’est élevée à 68 euros services inclus (pourboire) pour deux. Mais bon, nous n’emmènerons pas nos économies au cimetière. !😂

01/07/2025: Justyna served us for lunch on the 25th of June. She explained the menu, and suggested lunch and drink options. She was very cheerful and eager to help as much as possible as this was our first time at the restaurant. We enjoyed our meal and we thought the atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. We will definitely be back! 😀

06/01/2026: 5 adults and a child had drinks and were charged a service charge of 12.5%. We were not advised re SC beforehand. The pub had only a few people there. In contrast The dropping well was packed the same day with no service charge.

20/12/2025: We’d ordered several times through Deliveroo and decided to try the restaurant in person for the first time. We arrived Saturday at noon and placed our order right away. (We were the 1st customer in the bar). The waitress was kind, but after 40min she came to apologize, saying our meals were still being prepared. 20min later - an hour in total - we still hadn’t received anything, so we decided left. Between 12 and 1pm, not a single dish came out of the kitchen, even though at least five tables were waiting. It seems the chefs show up after noon (we saw them going straight away in the kitchen), which made no sense since prep should’ve been done earlier. I’ve never experienced such a long wait - it felt like something out of “Kitchen Nightmares.” We left without eating after waiting an hour, and honestly, I expected much more from that place. Very desapointing. Edit - Decreasing to 1 star. I contacted Todd by email after seeing his reply here - He never comes back to me.

14/12/2025: Was disappointed with the service and quality of experience given this is a five star hotel. After arriving at 8pm at night, no doorman, nobody to greet us, front desk staff was cold and uninviting. Rooms were noisy. No lobby area to sit and relax (we tried to sit in the lobby after a long night with some takeaway food and were asked to confirm we were hotel guests and also asked to eat in our room). Just not what you would expect given the five star rating.

11/12/2025: Just stayed there. Great place and will return. From being centrally located in Dublin and so easily walkable around the area and the history, I just cannot say enough about my first trip to the area. I wish I could have tried dinner at the on-site restaurant however it was closed Sunday when I planned to attend. The only thing I could offer as a suggestion for improvement would be an upgrade to the Wi-Fi system, however this will not prevent me from returning as you spend most of the time in the city. Great hotel. Thanks again cheers

25/12/2025: Loved my time at The Devlin Bar! Great cocktails and a cool, relaxed vibe in the heart of Ranelagh. The bartenders were friendly and the drinks were creative and delicious. Perfect spot for evening drinks or a fun night out with friends. Highly recommend

11/01/2026: I love food and love finding new places! Sadly, this place is not worth going to. I came with friends. We ordered coffee to begin with. It was ok, not great. I then ordered the pulled pork eggs Benedict. Since the menu is VERY limited, I would have expected the main dishes to be freshly made. Not so. It came out very lukewarm and the hollandaise sauce had congealed on top. It looked and tasted like something that had been pre-made and either sat around for hours or was pulled from the fridge and heated. The hollandaise had no flavor to it, and the whole dish was pretty bland. I suspect this is why they don’t allow any changes - it’s all pre-made. My friend ordered the cinnamon roll pastry and only took 2 bites of it as it was too dry. Another friend ordered a brownie and it was small & really basic -not worth the price. It all just felt like a big rip-off. And to top it off, I went to the bathroom after the meal - two stalls were out of order, two sinks had broken taps and no soap to be found ANYWHERE. … I wanted to love this place but, really, would not recommend it at all, unless you just want some coffee or tea and nice decor to look at.

11/01/2026: Ordered chai latte ..it was horrible,too sweet and barely any taste of cinnamon Also it was my birthday and came to cafe with a small cake but they told me have to pay service fee for it ( 15€ ) and on top of that they refused to decorate it even though I bought the fruits and whipped cream by myself Also they made us wait even though I had reservation Atmosphere is bad as well..too crowded and loud and the waiter kept coming to us every 2 seconds to ask for our orders ..it felt like he was rushing us to order so we finish early and go home

14/12/2025: We ordered fries and they weren't very good, but the Guinness was delicious. I loved the atmosphere of the place; I felt like I was in a movie. Everything has a unique decor.

10/12/2025: The owners and staff have bad manners and no respect. There was a disabled man walking on this street so I pushed their bin in out of the way. 5 mins later it was back and blocking the entire footpath again
