18/11/2024: Wonderful welcome, relaxing atmosphere, a home from home, where everyone's welcome & with the fire glowing, it's the place you never want to leave. Food is amazing, freshly prepared, locally organicly grown & rared. The taste of the food is amazing, highly recommended at a very affordable price.

19/11/2024: Visited this bar with a friend and her pet dog. Staff member was very friendly and gave us bowl of water for dog. The atmosphere was quiet and cosy, with music playing in background. Ordered the buffalo burger, very tasty, plenty of buffalo sauce and piping hot. Friendly also got small bowl of plain chicken for her dog. I would recommend this bar for dog owners.

26/11/2024: Great little spot with great people. Bar is tiny, but great folks that were fun to hang with. Nice outdoor area. Owner was quirky, but great.
FYI, This bar only accepted cash.

10/12/2024: Should be 3 stars Good location Rooms basic and small but clean. Lacks soundproofing and room was cold until 10 pm had to ask twice to boost heat. Was offered a fan heater . Breakfast was OK but if yr a vegetarian not great. Mushrooms undercooked, tomato and egg. Decided to just go continental. It was OK for a one night stay
13/11/2024: Lovely hotel, relaxed but attentive Irish service. Room very nice and whilst the bathroom was perfectly fine it was starting to look a tad dated. In the bar, Philipe was great on Monday evening, good chat as it was quite quiet and Helen on Wednesday morning who went out of her way to get some bar food early for me as I had a train to catch. She also sorted my taxi to the station. Will definitely be back.

1. Toilets -disgusting and smelly
2. Staff - unfriendly and very unwelcoming
3. Food - we did not enjoy our meals.
25/07/2024: Visit this place at least once a month, worth the 40mins drive, lunches are very consistent, tasty, never have a bad meal in last 10 years in it, fast efficient service as well, one of the best places in Kilkenny for dinner and reasonably priced.

There spice box is consistant and its ok not amazing but it does the job.
There fried rice very bland pure white not a bit of brown tint to be seen.
Fried noddles do be burnt.
Curry,Oyster and black bean sauces all flavourless no seasoning its like the chef has no pride in there cooking what so ever,so sad to see.

29/10/2024: Avoid this place at all costs. The rooms look nothing like the website. The smelt of stale food and damp.
We booked 2 rooms for 5 people, stained mattresses, duvets, and pillows.
Showers had little or no hot water, and the pressure was very poor.
There was no heating in the place. No one at reception to complain to.
Doors are all operated by an app that has to be downloaded to your phone. There is no emergency contact if you have problems with the app.
Booked for 2 nights but only stayed for one.
The only good thing about the place is its location - its right in the centre of town.
Would not recommend this place at all

10/07/2024: Low-quality food for the price, unfriendly atmosphere, didn't feel very hygienic, disappointed with this place, would not recommend since there are so many places that are actually friendly and delicious to eat/drink in Kilkenny.
10/07/2024: Overall not satisfying experience. Food was dissapointing and bland. Definitely not recommended. Atmosphere was rude and unfriendly.
